We stopped by early afternoon and were the only people there. I had the Iced Chai Tea Latte and my husband got a Cold Brew. He said his was okay, nothing special, but I really liked the Chai Tea! Their drink menu isn't super extensive, but they do offer lots of syrup flavor options. This would be a great spot to WFH from, as there's plenty of seating and tables, and it wasn't crowded at all.

So glad I popped into this little cafe and I wish it was closer to me! It's a non profit working to fund youth programs in the community. The lovely lady that greeted us let us know that they have 18 volunteers helping run the place! Simply amazing watching a community come together like this. I was instantly intrigued by the "Johnny waffle" on their menu. I could eat one of those every day. The dough was lightly sweet and the waffle was soft. Doesn't need any syrup - this waffle was perfect on its own! We also got a mango iced tea, which I promptly chugged (couldn't even help it). They have a list of flavors at the front counter. The prices are more than reasonable. Anywhere in the city you would pay near double for some of these items. The cafe was bright and comfortable with plenty of seating. Wonderful little cafe serving the community and families in need. We instantly felt welcome walking in and enjoyed our visit. So happy to stop in and support this cafe. I can't wait for another Johnny waffle already! We will definitely return!

Go get yourself a Johnny Waffle! You'll be so glad you did! Great little spot in downtown CBG with a great owner and friendly staff. My pumpkin iced coffee was made perfectly. I love that they are dog friendly! Can't wait to take my pup and get her a pup cup!

A very cute little cafe. Not an extensive menu in terms of the food offered but what they have (the waffles) taste beyond great! I could go here everyday and order the same thing for the rest of my life and be completely satisfied. I've been twice now and have only met one woman who works there but she seems outgoing and happy to help :)Nothing there is specifically for children (games, food items, high chairs) but taking a toddler here was no issue.

Made my first trip here on a Saturday morning. I was greeted immediately by two friendly faces. The place was completely empty and my order was taken immediately. I asked for a small dirty chai, an original "Johnny waffle", one chocolate chip cookie (recommended by the staff), and one small slice of chocolate nut roll. I LOVED the dirty chai. It was perfectly creamy, chai-spicy, and not too sweet. This was my first time having a Johnny waffle and I was pleasantly surprised. The waffle itself was not sweet, but the outer crust had a light touch of sweetness. So good. The chocolate chip cookie was good! If you're someone that likes cookies that are 60% chocolate 40% cookie, this is for you. I've also never had a nut roll before. So, I didn't really know what to expect. I wasn't impressed. It didn't taste like all that much, tbh. But I don't have anything to compare it to. I'm sure it would be better with a hot drink (I ate it a little later in the day). I'll definitely be back for a dirty chai & waffle in the future.

Nice little coffee shop with baked goods that is a nonprofit organized by locals to benefit the local student-youth programs. Stopped by to have a cup of coffee and leige waffle. Good service and nice spot. If you are in the neighborhood stop by and have some coffee or tea and abaked good.

What an awesome coffee shop, nice bright and new. Fresh Start is a volunteered run non-profit coffee shop. The coffee is from Crazy Horse Coffee, they also have some yummy handheld waffle treats. The staff was really friendly. More communities could use a place like this.
