Frank's Bar & Grill

We tried this place because my niece has been wanting to come here. We were not disappointed. The place was clean and had a decent amount of seating. The other side has the bar and is just as big as the restaurant. Our waitress, Michelle, was so friendly, answered any questions we had and gave us our food pretty quickly. She made sure we had everything we needed. I started off with their Bosco stick which is a mozzarella stuffed breadstick served with marinara. It had so much cheese and was just really good. The only thing I would change, would be to serve the sauce warm. Then I ordered the beer cheeseburger, which is just a cheeseburger with beer cheese. This burger was so big, cooked really well and the beer cheese was awesome. I didn't get any sides with it, but the others in my party ordered the fries and they were good. My niece ordered the loaded nachos and there were so many, she only ate half of them. Overall, this place was a great choice. For the price, the portions sizes are huge. We will definitely be back!

Husband and I stopped in here for lunch on the weekend before Christmas while visiting his family. It was a little difficult to find because the Apple Maps does not have it located in the right spot but we eventually found it. The place wasn't busy and we were seated and served promptly. Husband has the meatball sub and I had the roast beef sandwich. Both were cooked well and very filling. The fries were plenty- pub-style, delicious with malt vinegar. Definitely a nice little family-friendly spot for lunch or dinner.

Read some good reviews and decided to stop here for lunch. I am so glad we did!! We sat in the bar area but there is a restaurant side that is more family friendly. Service was friendly and fast without being overbearing. We ordered the pretzels with beer cheese and they did not disappoint. Hot and yummy! I ordered the grilled ham and cheese and my hubby had the Reuben. My sandwich was excellent and served in perfectly grilled Texas Toast. My husband said the meat in his Reuben was tender and juicy and the kraut added great flavor. The rye bread was toasted to perfection. And of course we love the fresh cut fries. Don't forget the malt vinegar! We will be back to Franks!

A great hometown treasure. Every time I come home, Franks is always where I go. For a small town, Franks packs a punch with a large bar food menu. The food always tastes fresh, and they have a wide selection of wing sauces. The waitresses and bartenders are always friendly. The nightlife at Franks is always pleasing too, with karaoke and live entertainment. If for some reason you are in the Bloomingdale area, stop by Franks!

My son and I went to Franks on a Friday evening. There were quite a few people there, but we were seated right away. The waitress was very friendly and took our drink orders while we were still looking at the menu. There are a variety of menu options and being a Friday my son ordered a fish and shrimp dinner. Fish is their Friday special. Beer battered and I was told it's very good. I ordered smothered chicken with a side salad and green beans. Just when we thought they had forgotten about us, our waitress arrived with our order. First, my sons dinner. Instead of the beer battered fish, apparently if you order the fish with shrimp you get the breaded fish nuggets that are pre-made and sold frozen from GFS. The amount of French fries was ridiculous! Covered 3/4 of the plate. He said it was just ok. He thought he was getting battered fish and was a bit disappointed. I don't know why my dinner is called smothered chicken. It was what tasted like a premade frozen seasoned chicken breast , covered with a slice of white cheese, and a few cold canned mushrooms on the top. That is no where near smothered chicken. Green beans were canned, and I would say heated in the microwave. No salt, no butter, not a drop of salt. Nothing. Tasteless !! I will say the side salad was very good. Not just plain old iceberg lettuce. Mixed greens, vegetables and a very good blue cheese dressing. I ate the salad and a couple bites of chicken. Was not satisfied with our experience there at all. We both agreed it was not someplace we would recommend or return to. Sorry Franks, you're going to have to do better than that for me to want to go there again!

Very good food. Family friendly too. The bar area is separate from the dining area although you can get drinks with dinner and a full menu at the bar too. It's family owned and the owners are truly interested in how your experience was.

The service was amazing and would like to thank Angie for the great service. The menu is vast and has quit the selection. My wife and I had hamburgers and they were amazing. Both the bar and restaurant were exceptionally clean.

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. Used to be the best place to eat or grab some beers. Now not so much, I heard that they are under new management but cannot confirm that for sure. Anyways, over the course of a year the service and quality of the food has gone downhill. The food used to be excellent, now it's just mediocre. The service used to be fast and now it's very slow. Whenever my group and I sit up at the bar, it takes the bartenders over 15 minutes to recognize that we are there even when there is no crowd because nine times out of ten they are chatting behind the bar instead of taking care of their customers. Last time we were there, I was trying to get my check and leave but the bartenders were way too busy chit chatting with each other to get me my check which made me very upset. I tried numerous times to get their attention but felt ignored. Maybe they just didn't hear me, not sure. Last time I ate here, I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich with fries and once the food came out, it was ice cold. After that experience I have not dined here for about a month. I'm hoping this establishment improves soon because I like coming here less and less each time.
