Fox’s Tavern

This is a good restaurant for cyclists riding the GAP trail (like us), although it's a mile or so from the trail access. They have an extensive menu including beers. We had burgers and a salad, and all were tasty and well prepared.

Went to dinner with a couple of friends. Two of us ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. There was only three bland mushrooms on it. The beer battered fries were ok. The ketchup was water down . My one friend had the shrimp Alfredo. It was pretty dry there was hardly any sauce on it. My friend who ordered the Italian hoagie said it was very good. The garbage sauce for the wings was good. Our waitress was very nice and very friendly.

My family and I visited Fox's twice now and enjoyed the food both times. The service was a little inconsistent, but we also happened to visit the second time on wing night, which we probably would recommend avoiding unless you specifically go for the wings. Speaking of wings, my one son and husband split an order with garbage sauce and loved them. My other son had some chicken sandwich that was drenched in the same garbage sauce. It was messy and delicious according to him. Both my husband and other son had a burger and said it was even better the second trip. I ordered a salad with shrimp and it was fresh and delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, although I do wish it had more shrimp - only had 4. The blue cheese dressing is definitely homemade. I'm sure we will return to try some other menu items. Wednesday night is wing night! Plan accordingly.

Food is excellent and good variety, not just typical bar food menu. Staff is very friendly. Fair prices and good atmosphere for families.

Kat is attentive and amazing. The salads are ample size. Also Morgan, Marney and Allison are the best!
