Lately I've been going to another place, but decided to give this one a chance again. I ordered a large breve latte with sugar free vanilla. Was about 6 dollars. Other places give 3 shots of espresso in a large latte, they gave 2. And it tasted like it. My drink ended up tasting like hot vanilla milk. Pretty gross. I think I'll pay the extra 15 cents at another place and get something that tastes good with 3 shots of espresso in it.

This coffee place is on my way into work. I frequent them often. The staff is always nice. The long line moves fast and smooth. The pumpkin muffins are heaven. Today was a special visit, Pittsburgh is feeling the pain of the Tree of Life shooting. Fifth Avenue Beanry made my typical expresso and handed it over with no charge for today with the message "be kind". How refreshing for a business to put a strong message before padding their wallet. I'm a fan.

Fifth Avenue Beanery is the type of coffee spot that suits convenience over quality, putting it on par with the Crazy Mochas and Starbucks in the area. It's hardly a knock, and with their lower prices, I'd rather enjoy my espresso, etc. from their small stand than most of the places nearby...especially if I'm in a hurry...and have cash in hand (it's cash only). The staff isn't from the coffee snob, uber-prideful-of-their-craft school of baristas, so don't expect the greatest pull ever or photo-worthy latte art (you won't get that from the chains, either), but they're really nice and worth supporting. If you're looking for a quick cup of coffee or an espresso pick-me-up and have cash in your pocket, I definitely recommend Fifth Ave Beanery. If you're looking for a better-quality drink, you might be disappointed. If you like Starbucks or Crazy Mocha, support the little guy and Fifth Avenue Beanery a chance.

Working in Fifth Avenue Place downtown affords me a lot of different coffee options. Ranging from multiple Crazy Mocha locations, Starbucks, burnt swill for free, and little individual places like this. Fifth Avenue Beanery is a kiosk type place on the first floor of the building. It says "coffee roasters" but unless they're roasting their own beans off site, I haven't seen any roasting equipment. There is one woman who is there regularly and a few others who are there on and off during different days/times during the week. They offer a re-useable mug to save on waste and it also provides you a small discount on your drinks. Admittedly I've only had the pumpkin pie latte, the salted caramel latte, and a black coffee. The drinks are always hot and the espresso is strong. If you happen into the building, make sure to have cash (no cards) and stop by.

I've hit this place up for coffee a few times as it's in the lobby of my office. The staff is always pleasant and friendly, the coffee has always been very good. The usual applies here with drip coffee, lattes, etc. It's a nice change of pace to the chains like Starbucks. It is worth noting that this place is cash only and does not accept cards. It's not a huge drawback, but if you operate with limited cash on your person it's worth hotting up the ATM.

I love this place. They are SO FAST-- even with lattes! A little pricey for lattes, but right in line with all the surrounding coffee shops in downtown Pittsburgh

It was the first thing open at Fifth Avenue Mall, so that gets points in my book. I also liked their hot chocolate, which was smooth and mild.

Based on a couple of visits I'd say it's a solid, convenient coffee kiosk. Highlights are hot, fresh coffee; quick, friendly service; and location. Opportunities to improve include no dark roast drip coffee and cash only. I'd go back again.

I really love smoothies and was happy to find that the smoothies here are awesome. Unfortunately I will never buy another item from this place. I'm always courteous and pleasant with the staff but they're always indifferent. They never greet me or say thank you and the lady today was very rude. It's sad that we live in such a bias world; like Starbucks I will never spend another dime here. It's 2018 and as a black woman I'm treated like less than as a customer and it's unacceptable.

The ladies who work at the Fifth Avenue Beanery are among the kindest I've met, and the coffee is delicious too! I like to get their "A Shot in the Dark" which is their daily special with a shot of expresso. Would highly recommend this cute little shop in Fifth Avenue place - just remember it's cash only!
