The convenience store facade is deceiving. Yes, there is your typical section selling cheap sunglasses, cigarettes, lotto tickets, and junk food - but once you get past that, you are in a world of wonder. There is so much delightful food here on which to feast. Now I don't know if everything here is actually halal, or if everything here is actually fresh, but there's enough here within a decent price range to put together two weeks' worth of conventional meals on a budget of under 60 dollars and possibly branch out and experiment with new foodstuffs while you're at it.Ever since Donatelli's closed, this has become the best independent grocery store on the East End for eclectic goodies, including fridge-and-pantry staples like frozen spinach and canned beans *as well as* less-commonly-consumed (in the United States) items like tender cactus and grape leaves. Would also *highly* recommend the dolmas and tuna salata you can find on the shelves.

Apparently there is a bumper crop of fresh from the farm hohos, ding-dong's and King-dongs. Not to mention gluten-free pork rinds. This quaint store is well stocked in the O-food group, Cheetos, Fritos, Doritos ....

This is a small but surprisingly stocked grocer/convenience store. I go every couple of weeks to get some fresh PA eggs and milk (so much better than what you get at Giant Eagle). They have an awesome selection of spices, teas, Turkish and Middle Eastern products. I want to try the delicious looking deserts they keep by the register and the local meat. The man who works there is very friendly and helpful. I'll keep coming back for sure!

This is a new store, with an owner who rehabilitated an old service station, which had previously sat vacant for decades. The other negative review doesn't take these factors into consideration, nor the fact that the store obviously has a 'work-in-progress' look to it at this point. The owner is friendly, and they will eventually have meat and vegetables available. That can be quite helpful to those living in close proximity - saving them the 5-6 block trek to other grocery stores. Additionally, they now carry Popsburgh all-natural, locally made popsicles. They're in the freezer in the rear of the store, but definitely worth checking out!

Awesome store!!! The men that work there are very friendly. They have food items from here in the USA and from their country that I've never seen before and they have no problem telling you about them. They also have all different types of sweets that I've never seen before and the prices are different but they seem fair. It's good to see more different ethic groups over on this block. I hope they never leave.
