Family Pizza & Pub

We came here after playing a game in Altoona. This place is as old school as it gets, but I liked it. Other people we saw got Pizza, which looked good, but with over an hour drive home we settled on some sandwiches. My son and I got chicken sandwiches. My wife and daughter got Italian Hoagies. Food was all pretty decent. Our server was efficient, seeming like he was the only one working. He definitely took care of us.

I've been back to Family Pizza several more times this past year and I will say that it has grown on me. The service seems improved and the pizza is good, better in fact than any of the chain pizzas in town. The place itself is nice and clean and a lot bigger than it first appeared. They actually can fit quite a large crowd here. I've upgraded my last rating and will definitely visit again.

If I could give them negative stars I would! We had a party of six and got two pizzas, a sub, nachos and drinks. The cheesesteak sub had NO cheese and the meat was so over cooked it was like beef jerky. The pizza dough on both pies was undercooked and the nachos had canned cheese spread on maybe five of the chips. There was only one other table in the place and the bar patrons. Three different waitresses came between taking drink orders, delivering drinks and taking out food order. It took almost 13 minutes to get waters, sodas and one draft beer. As for the food- two different waitresses brought out the food ALL at separate times then disappeared when we all finally began to eat so we couldn't ask for refills or complain about the awful food! We finally just got to go boxes and left! Well, it took us forever to check out because instead of running our cards they decided to chat with the bar patrons instead! We will never be back! This business owner should be ashamed!

Food is very good. It's definitely a great place to go for a brew and wings. Looking forward to going back. The place is spotless. It's hard to come by a place so clean where the waitstaff is so pleasant. The food was delicious. Will be back!

They have great pizza but it's way too expensive, the staff were very rude to customers, it's called family so you would think it would be a good place to take your family, don't be fooled by the name, it's not a place you want your kid to be, they have nothing for kids to do there an their staff dropped the f bomb an the B word quite a few times right in font of our kids,

It's okay but prices hasn't been changed since that time I told them they need update the menus

Pizza was just ok. Not alot of flavor and barely any sauce, which is actually quite tasty. Toppings were minimal. And pizza was overpriced. Wont be ordering again.

Worst place ever! Long wait, got the order wrong! Our server was awful I don't recommend this place all my family got was attitude yelled at my dam 3 year old from bringing chocolate milk from the store. I mean like only dam orange juice and cranberry juice like what the hell you don't even have chocolate milk for kids your place says kid accessible. Definitely not. The only reason why am rating this five stars for other people to see this.

Below average food. Inconsistent service. Owner is not customer oriented. Avoid at all cost!

Horrible service! A waitress stood at the bar in a personal conversation for over 15 minutes. I asked her for change, which visibly irritate her, and she asked another waitress to get it for me That waitress told me to hold on. It was not busy at all. Worse, they ran out of hoagie rolls, so all you could get was a sandwich. What a joke! Don't go to this place. We'll never go back. There's too many quality places to eat vs this unprofessional place.
