New name "the family kitchen and smoke house" I think it's called the smoke house because the owner must have been high as a kite when he made the menu. The Ruben I ordered today described as meat stacked to the sky.. lol look at it.. service is decent I've had one really good waitress and one mediocre. Portions are pretty small for the price in my opinion. Yesterday I came for breakfast which was pretty good however the steak and eggs was not enough food to fill me up.. ended up ordering additional French toast and everything was good but how is their bread so small got the tiniest little pieces of French toast. All and all decent place I'm sure I'll be back but I won't be ordering the Ruben ever again.

We had a wonderful family breakfast today. Homecooked with love is the best way to describe it. I got the pecan pancake (yes you only need one--- lol) with bacon and eggs. Everyone loved their meals. I also heard magnificent things about the calzones so we ordered one to go. OMG!! It was huge!! Three people could eat off that thing. The pillowy doughy turnover was filled with delicious pepperoni, mushrooms, cheese and flavorful sauce.

The breakfast buffet was amazing, and the guy making the omelettes had it done in no time and was very sweet to me and my boyfriend. The waitress was very talkative and friendly, and checked on us often as well as refilled our coffee. The fruit is the best I've ever had, very fresh and perfect texture. The coffee is to die for, tastes homemade. The atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable. Every time I go there's another awesome upgrade to the restaurant. 100% would recommend for breakfast, and will be looking forward to dining there again next weekend with the rest of my family.

Nice wide open seating. Cozy cute atmosphere. Diner style meals. Nice Food portions & affordable price. Our waitress was quick & efficient. At this visit they offered Santa with Breakfast and our Granddaughter was so excited to see Santa. This was a big hit with my family, for that alone I Give a big shout out to EJ's for providing such a wonderful opportunity for families to come & enjoy a nice meal and make memories for years to come. Merry Christmas

Do not get the sausage links! My 4 year old got a side of sausage links and they came out half raw. You can see the pink through out and the owner came out and said that they are precooked and they only heat them!! Thats dumbest thing Ive ever heard. You still have to cook them through! You would think people would learn especially a restaurant that serves a lot of people and covid still going around

Under new management with a new name, we're checking out the lunch menu on our way to Mountaineer. Great wait staff and good assortment of sandwich choices is nice to see. More after we eat.I ordered fresh a chicken salad sandwich, which tasted great. The onion rings were crispy & crunchy & the BLT with beef vegetable soup were very tasty. There is a bakery area as well as a Hershey's ice cream counter near the entrance, so you can easily add a take home dessert or cone. All in all, this is a good place to eat. I'll bet the breakfast's are also great.

I was heading to one of my usual stops for breakfast/lunch but the bridge was closed so I landed here.Look, the place is clean, the people are nice, and the food is basic fare prepared fairly well. That said, the prices are way too expensive for what you get. I am a poor old dude on a fixed income. I paid $25.00 for lunch here. I could go see the nice ladies across the river twice for that amount. The place was almost empty. Not sure if because it was Monday, but I suspect the prices play part of the reason.Specifically, I had a hot sandwich with fries. Portion size was good but the bread didn't hold up. Something more substantial would serve them well. This one will not be added to my rotation.

This place was recommended by some of the locals. The food was good, I wish the portion was a little bit bigger for the price. I would return again to try other menu items. The location is convenient right off two of the main highways for the town. Plenty of parking and especially if you have a big vehicle or are towing a trailer you will have no trouble parking and navigating in and out.

The food, service, and ambiance at this restaurant are absolutely wonderful, especially for a small-town family restaurant. The ONLY reason I gave it four stars, rather than five, is because we were recently there for breakfast, and I felt that their breakfast prices are pretty high. But, DON'T let that discourage you because I ate the VERY BEST omelet I think I have ever had in my entire life. My husband and I went there shortly after for dinner, and we spent what you would imagine spending for dinner, which was similar to the breakfast prices.I am heading there with my mom in the very near future. She will love their menu options!! There is so much to choose from and the portions are more than you would expect, so plan to have leftovers to take for lunch the next day!!!
