Huge portions! It was Armstrongs Homecoming and the place was PACKED but the service was on point. Our waitress was on tops of things (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) bringing out refills without us asking and clearing away dishes as we finished. This is a restaurant that's been around a long time and known for their large portions. While packed you could still have a nice conversation and the restaurant wasn't too loud inside. I enjoyed my meal, the sauce is sweet which is not my preference but it was good/different. Wish I would have looked at the pictures of others reviews because the menu is large and a lot of things sounded good. My husband also ordered the chicken parm so I could have tried something else and also tried his. The pictures of the chicken bruschetta and chicken penne look amazing. Next time if we are ever back in the area!

One of the nicest restaurants I have ate at. We made reservations because this place is always busy around dinnertime. Service was on point and the food was excellent. Dinners run from $15 and up. I had the linguini white clam sauce, with a salad. The salad alone was dinner size and was served with a loaf of bread. Very large portions served so a doggy bag was a must. Dining room has tables and booths to accommodate the size of your parties. Handicap parking and ramps are available. The ambiance has and Old Italy feeling, charming and rustic. This place has been in business for 54 years, so you know they are doing right by the size portions and prices. I like the fact that you have to pay the the cashier on the way out. It's a must try kind of place. We'll absolutely go there again

Everyone makes a big deal about their portions. Let's put that aside for a moment. I ordered veal parmesan. The salad was a great start, and I was excited for my main course. Bread was also a good touch. The Veal was a big disappointment. The Veal was a ground patty with who knows what in it and sauce over it. Hey I don't bitch about prices but if you're going tell me the item is me veal, give me veal, Not some ground up patty. Disappointed overall. It was kind or weird on the 2 sides which were included with the meal, pasta, which I did get. I honestly could not figure out what other side to get, choices were rice and apple sauce. Which really do not compliment veal Parmesan. I ultimately chose rice, which they told me was rice pilaf. The rice pilaf was terrible. It was like one of those prepared side like you can buy at the market. Not worth my drive from Lower Burrell.Wine was just meh, for cab sav.I guess if you give folks big quantities, they are happy. I am not.

Try to get a reservation here in advance, especially on weekends - it's a great place and people know it! the food is amazing, been here many times and never had any complaints - always amazing leftovers. Staff was busy but helpful and checked in on our meal with great timing, very accommodating and helpful.

Fantastic Italian food! Well worth the drive. Their marinara sauce is amazing. Eggplant parmesan was phenomenal. Fresh bread and salad with large portions. Ashley was outstanding as our waitress. Highly recommend!

If you are a group of four only one person needs to order. Expect a lake of spaghetti sauce with every meal. I got the Italian Platter and it was better cold the next day. Sauce is sweet, not my favorite, portions are ludicrous. We'll go back to try their salads. The dinner salad we got with our entrees was not a disappointment.

A hidden gem in western PA. You can always count on the same delicious meal and lots of it. Came for lunch and always have to smile at the huge grilled chicken salad-Pittsburgh style-with the steak knife in the middle. Service was excellent as always. Ambiance was comfortable!

the popularity of this place totally shows how badly the area is hurting for a decent restaurant. it is old and shabby inside. no ambiance. you can feel the springs in the booth seating and yet they charge what i feel is outrageous prices for this experience. they do give you hearty portions. maybe if you just hit lunch it would not be so bad. i guess it's just nostalgia that keeps it going. i ordered roast beef. i did not care for it. salad was really good!!!

If you appreciate homemade food, friendly service, and huge portions all set in a family owned restaurant atmosphere, than you have come to the right place. My go to is the Chicken Peperoncino. Angel hair pasta smothered in a tangy white sauce with chicken and just enough peppers to create a bite representative of the dishes name. The good thing is, if you love what you ordered, you'll have enough to take home for another meal. The meal included a generous sized side salad. Plus a loaf of fresh Italian bread for the table to share. Excellent food draws large crowds so I suggest making reservations. Also ordered was the chef salad. A salad large enough to feed four included turkey, ham, eggs, olives, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, green peppers, red onion, croutons & cheese on a bed of lettuce.

I've heard great things about the Villa for at least 20 years. First time here. Service was outstanding!Wife and I ordered spaghetti and chicken Parmesan. We also ordered a dry red wine. The side salad was one of the best I've had. The marinara sauce! The sauce! The sauce was on par with a $1.59 jar of marinara that you can get at Giant Eagle. Overly sweet. Did I say sweet?!?!! Chicken parm had a crust that was also too sweet. Not particularly good. Ordered two glasses of Chianti. First was very drinkable. Ordered another and it was atrocious: bitter and stale. Same wine, one glass apart, one good, the other rot gut. $18 on very unenjoyable pricy wine experience. Very huge menu with every variety of dish you could ask for. People rave about the portion sizes. True, but who cares. Better pasta with a jar of Rao's. I'm sure there is enough on the menu to satisfy but we came for the "signature" dishes and couldn't even get consistent wine, glass to glass. it's a one and done for us. Big bill. Left a big tip. But there are better options.
