Emerson's

This spot is ALWAYS a 10/10 and I have recommended it to so many friends recently! I'm just getting around to posting about their winter drink specials, but the Toffee Tinsel Tini they had for the holidays was something special, and so delicious. A friend and I stopped in on wine Wednesday and also shared a bottle of Sauv Blanc! (50% off on Wednesdays!!) and we of course indulged in the truffle fries because you just have to. They're cheesy, salty, and perfectly seasoned served with a garlic aioli you'll want to eat with a spoon, I promise. Special shoutout to MC, who took excellent care of us as we sat by the cozy fireplace.

Emerson's restaurant is located on the second floor above the Market St. store. It is open for happy hour and dinner. The menu lists foods such as charcuterie, salads, sandwiches, pork chop, filet, salmon, mussels, and penne. This restaurant also serves cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beers. My husband and I ate one dinner here. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation, and the seating hostess immediately seated us. Our waiter spoke courteously to us, but he took some time to bring us a drink, our foods, and our check. Here are my ratings for what we ate:Sherry Cobbler Sour - 3 stars - This cocktail contained bourbon, sherry, lemon, demerara, egg white, and cherry bitters. I thought that its flavor was OK. Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes - 4 stars - Two crab cakes were a medium size and contained much crab meat. They came with sweet chili aioli, lemon, and arugula. I liked their flavor.Emerson's Burger - 2.5 stars - The burger consisted of a brioche bun, beef patties, American cheese, onion, lettuce, special sauce, and pickles. My husband ate about one-fourth of this entree, and he described it as "bad." I took my one bite of his burger, and I thought that it tasted OK. I ate a couple of the side truffle fries, and I agreed with him that they were overcooked and too crunchy. The total cost for this one drink and two entrees was $73 *plus* a tip.

Had a delicious meal at Emerson's last week! We had a reservation at 7:30 on a Friday and were seated right away when we arrived. Our waitress was kind and friendly. While everything we ordered was delicious, the appetizers were especially good. The cornbread was more like a dessert. The Brussels sprouts were also really good. They had a great selection of cocktails, including a seasonal menu as well as bartender's choice. I did the bartender's choice and the waitress asked me a few questions so that I could have a drink to my taste. I'd definitely recommended Emerson's!

Everything (but the server) about this restaurant was pretty much just ok. Granted, I didn't order a cocktail which looked to die for, but still. The fried chicken sandwich was soggy and all dark meat, which was unexpected. The pasta had good flavor, but unfortunately the salad also lacked dressing. The brussel sprouts were just the outer pieces roasted so hard they basically disintegrated with a fork. It was unfortunate because it is so cute inside and the server was so so kind. Would maybe go back for just drinks, i dont know

I don't know where to begin. This place is amazing!!! We sat right by the cozy fireplace and had a delicious meal of so many flavors. Our waitress was wonderful and service was quick! I can't rave about the vibe enough - you have to check it out. It's eclectic!The food: Meatballs. Get these. So tender and packed with flavor. I wanted another order. Mezze platter - so good. The toasted pita were perfect for the BEST hummus I've had. The whole chickpeas speak to both freshness and texture. So yummy, and I loved the accompanying crudités. Burrata - I couldn't shovel this down fast enough. It was so good, and I loved the peppers and arugula it came with. The combination of flavors was on point. Crab cakes - I hate when crab cakes are overloaded with lemon flavor, and thankfully Emerson's was not. Chunky crab pieces with a perfect salt level. Trust me - these are fantastic. The dressing it came with tasted like French dressing but with a nice slight heat. I had a pumpkin espresso martini, and tis the season for sure; I chugged this! It was so good. Tiramisu dessert was the perfect night cap. Perfectly done. Come here, folks. You'll make your next reservation while eating your dinner. What a great meal!!!

I made a reservation for 7:30pm on a Friday for me and some out of town guests. They were super nice and let us push it back a little since we were running late. The vibes inside are lovely and cozy with their fireplace. Our server was super friendly. The cocktails and food were excellent. My guests loved everything and we had a great time there. Would absolutely go back!

We had reservations for Valentine's Day. We arrived a little early, but the hostess asked if we wanted to be seated, so we didn't have to wait. She offered us a complimentary glass of champagne as we walked to our table. The space is open with a nice sized bar and good amount of tables. It is quaint with dim lighting and lots of natural light. Our server was amazing and very attentive. He suggested different options on the menu and was very easy to make small talk with. The food was delicious. The meatballs were light and fluffy. The salmon and risotto was done perfectly. And for another appetizer we tried the fried olives with aioli sauce. They were different, but very tasty. Price wise, this was extremely reasonable. It is in Market Square. I expected prices to be higher, but was pleasantly surprised seeing our bill after we had drinks, apps, meals and desserts. We will definitely be back!

The best hidden gem in Market Square! Small and quaint restaurant that is a great date night or girls night spot. We got drinks and appetizers. The truffle fries were amazing. I cannot express that these are the best fries I've had in my life lol they taste better than the picture!!! Also the bartender was the sweetest and most accommodating.

I love the ambiance in Emerson's The cocktail bar is so quaint and unique This bar gives you a city bar feel The cocktails are always amazing & the apps are some of my favorite The pork chop is so good - and my fiance loved the chicken sandwhich The burrata is always my go to app - so yum Love the staff - they're always so kind.

Emerson's is such a cute hidden gem right off of market square! Blink and you'd walk right past it, but once you're in the restaurant space the ambiance is so cozy but still bright and airy. I loved the armchairs around the fireplace, the green walls, and the funky light fixtures. The highlights of my dinner there were definitely the drinks & appetizers. The cocktail list had a lot of interesting options to choose from, including a large seasonal cocktail list. I got the pumpkin espresso martini - yum! They also have a great wine list with interesting selections (ranging from a barbera to a chenin blanc/vigonier) both by the glass or bottle. The appetizers were great sharing portions and really yummy! The crispy brussels were cooked perfectly & served with a bright lemony flavor. The burrata was also delicious - I especially loved the roasted peppers it was served with. I could definitely see myself stopping back for happy hour drinks & apps!The only downside of the meal was the someone disappointing entrees. While nothing was particularly wrong with them, they just didn't blow me away at all. I ordered the pork chop and it was fine, but it read more interestingly than it tasted. Service was also somewhat slow, but the servers were friendly.Overall, I think Emerson's is super cute and the ideal way to experience it is for apps & drinks!Food: BDrinks: AService: BAmbiance: A-
