Used to be good. Not anymore....smaller portions that lack ingredients (burrito with no rice.) Dirty booths, dirty menus, dirty silverware, dirty glasses. Bugs spotted. Super careless service to the point you feel forgotten. Used to be a favorite, roll but be back.

Salsa was really good. Now it tastes like crappie tomato soup. Burritos are so boring. Not going bad. Used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Indiana. Now, its just horrible!!!

The food here is delicious and very reasonably priced. I've tried the al pastor tacos and the arroz con pollo, both of which I loved! Their jumbo margs are also a great deal (only $9!) and they even have specials on their margs during the week for even cheaper. Only complaint is that there is no ac, so it can get hot inside but the food more than makes up for it!

Stopped up Indiana to visit my alma mater and decided to stop at El Tesoro because it was so darn cute. This particular day there was only one hostess (okay fine it happens) but the service was still pretty on point. The food tastes...not traditional to say the least lol. I mean, I don't expect Cozumel in Indiana but the cheese on my nachos was way too reminiscent of white American cheese. Also, my nachos were naked (not a tomato, lettuce, cilantro, etc. in sight), turns out I needed to order the "supreme" nachos. When I think of nachos...I think of the whole enchilada (no pun intended). Their burrito situation that'll be a no too. I won't be venturing back to El Tesoro BUT their churros were bomb (lil bit on the dry side though it need some sauce).

Had the camarrones diablo. It was delicious. I was also quite pleased they had sweet tea! Being from the south it's a staple, but these Yankees didn't disappoint! Highly recommended!

My partner and I recently moved from Southern California to Indiana and we were loathed to give up Mexican food. This place is incredible and is already our favorite spot after one visit. The staff is amazing, the atmosphere is great, and the food tastes just like home. If you're in the mood for authentic Mexican food, make sure to give this place a try. Particularly the carnitas and/or carne asada street tacos. Absolutely worth it!

We have always loved the food from this restaurant, but I was shocked at the rudeness of the staff when our food came out wrong yesterday. My husband ordered a California burrito, and it was filled with ingredients that were not on the menu. Due to severe food allergies, and bad allergic reactions at restaurants in the past for the same reason, we questioned it and asked them to make the food with only the ingredients listed on the menu. We were met with bad attitudes, rolled eyes, and were told that it's normal for food to have ingredients in it that aren't on the menu. The rest of the stay was us trying to eat quickly and get out as soon as we could because of the short tempered attitudes we were receiving. Again, the food has always been delicious, but this was very upsetting and disappointing

The food is great, but service is slow. The waiters don't have any urgency to get drinks out to you. I had to ask 2 times for a water and got my margarita after my food came out. We also had to go up to the bar to get our check because he didn't come back to our table after he brought out our food.

My friends held a surprise party for me at El Tesoro. The staff were so amazing and really helped pull the surprise together. Kam and Luke (the manager) truly made my birthday so special. El Tesoro has always given us the BEST food and service, and would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again to all the staff

Went for a casual Lunch with my sister. Hostess met us at the door and quickly seated us. The waitress was attentive and quick to bring awesome chips and salsa. The salsa was so good, and certainly had a little kick. I ordered the Chile Rellenos per the waitress recommendation. (I'm a Vegetarian) They were the best I've had. My sister ordered a chicken dish. Can't remember which one, but it good. Portions are large. We both needed to go boxes which quickly got gobbled up by my Brother in law. Come hungry and leave full. I'll be back the next time I'm in town.
