El Hefe

This is such a great place! We've loved everything we've gotten here. We love the (BOGO 1/2) fajitas on Wednesdays, but we've been there on other nights and explored the menu deeper. Love this joint!

Just moved around the corner so we have been visiting more often and we have loved everything so far! The 4 dip app is the best! We have had the bowls, the tacos, the fajitas, and more. We will be back!

I went here while visiting nearby. We had cocktails and shared appetizers. I had a cucumber jalapeño margarita. It had a little heat, and I enjoyed it. We shared chips, salsa, and guacamole. I had a chicken chimichanga. Others had tacos with various fillings. The chimichanga was great. Andrew was our server and took good care of us. I'd definitely go back.

We drive past this place a few times a week always saying we're gonna stop by, today we finally did and it was worth the wait! Saul greeted us as we entered and seated us with no wait. It seemed a little slow but we've seen this place packed more often than not. Wednesday is fajita night, buy one get one half off. From start to finish El Hefe is not your typical Mexican food restaurant. Starting from having unique decor (no Jarritos bottles lining the walls or Dia de los Muertos decorations all around) to chicharrones as complimentary treat instead of chips and salsa. Don't worry, you can still order some chips and salsa for an appetizer. We went with the medium salsa (you can do mild, medium, or hot), green and DELICIOUS!! If you've had fajitas once then you can guarantee to have had fajitas at most restaurants in your area. NOT HERE!!! Ordered chicken fajitas and this was the most delicious, juiciest chicken laid on a bed of sautéed onions, peppers, and mushrooms with refried beans and rice on the side and plated, not on the overdone sizzling pan on a slab of wood. I ordered "The Boss" margarita, a pineapple margarita with Tajin on the rim - MMMMMMMM!!!Dessert we had a cake sampler which consisted of a slice each of Tres Leche, Chocoflan, and Carlotta cake. I wish I would have ordered some to go, I want more. Saul was an amazing server and helped make our night perfect.

Took my team here for dinner after our sales meeting. They can accommodate large groups and the staff was very attentive. Great food and nice bar menu. Everyone loved their meal, Al pastor was good, the steak tacos were my favorite. Pinche Dips app has something for everyone, and the Queso Fundido was really good. BUT, the star of the show were the CHURRO WAFFLES!!! Amazing!!! Some of the best churros I've ever had!!!

A new entree on their specials menu worthy of an update. I had the seafood Quesadillas which were fantastic. Consisted of four quesadillas stuffed with shrimp and white fish and then topped with a few more chunks of shrimp and whitefish smothered in queso and lightly garnished with greens and radish slices, this made for an absolutely delicious meal. A side of rice and a small river of queso made this dish simply divine. Highly recommend.

One of the best margaritas I've ever had. Food is always on point. Especially the dips. The service is always pleasant and timely. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Ohio.

Great food, found El Hefe on Yelp, went to check it out and I am far, far from disappointed. Great atmosphere too, good music always going, super friendly staff, quick service. First time going but I'll be a repeat customer for sure.

We were blown away on how good the food and service is. By far the best steak within 100 miles. The mahi mahi was great as well. The deserts was unbelievable as well.

I enjoyed this restaurant too much - the food was all good, and I ate too much of it! It had a nice atmosphere with a solo guitar player/singer plying his trade. The servers were friendly and helpful. I had a strawberry margarita, chicken soup (tasty), the chips & 4 salsas plate (the corn mix was excellent; the verde delicious; the queso very good but runnier/thin than expected; the guacamole too tart for me), and the three tacos plate (I got shrimp, ground beef & steak: The shrimp was great, the others very good). The tacos were supposed to have crunchy shells, and the server offered to replace them. I recommend El Hefe and would eat there again.
