Ate here as a kid in 90s then slacked off till about 10 years ago when my wife and I started taking our kids. It's a gem the house wing sauce is amazing and I normally buy some to take home. The wings are always large, whole, and perfectly cooked. Service is always great

Growing up this place was the best pizza around. You looked forward to a Saturday night, ordering pizza with family or friends. They also have a great dine in service. You can dine in and they have some amazing dinners available. In addition, they have a sports bar as well that's opened. This is a place that has been in Masontown since I was a kid, and still is going strong. Small towns like this need this in their lives.

I've had good times here and not so good.Food was never big city gourmet ,but geared towards the mill hunky coal miner looking for a night out.Like a pair of well worn shoes, one eats here because its comfortable and familiar. No snails or foie gras, but hearty caloric dense comfort food that makes the kids happy and pleases the rest of the family. This is the lifestyle that the folks in San Francisco and west Hollywood ridicule. This place reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting of an era that is no longer in style.Pretty much a beer, wings and pizza joint for the working class with large portions of seared meats. To sum it up ,nostalgic.

First off, I have always loved Dolfis. As a kid, it was the one place on which the whole family could agree. I loved their pasta and scarfed down lasagna like Garfield, so Dolfis seemed like the perfect Mother's Day treat, but I have to say that I was a little disappointed. Yes, my lasagna delicious and the service really was quite good, but beyond that I thought my favorite childhood dinner spot could use a bit of an upgrade. Now, I don't really want them to change the dinning room to much, because for the most part it was just as I remembered; however, I do think that they are in desperate need of a new sound system to drown out the conversations of other patrons. I really didn't want to listen to some child explain why he liked chocolate milk over regular for 10 minutes--not even sure they have chocolate milk--"Chocolate milk is the best! Yeah, we get it kid, it's chocolate...nuff saidHowever, the worst part about the whole dinning experience was the incessant chiming of a door bell (seriously, I'm not kidding here) every minute or so to alert the waitress(s) that someone's meal was up. I think that I would have preferred a cook screaming from the kitchen, "Order up!"...At least it would have had Diner, Drive-ins, and Dives character. No, for me the bell has just got to go. I really don't think the wait staff needs such a contraption, for my waitress was very smart and capable of figuring out when someone's food was upFinally, I wasn't too impressed with the pizza, but the rest of our meal was just as I remembered from my youth. With just a few easily fixed items, I think Dolfis could once again be the 5 star experience of younger days.

I hadn't been to Dolphi's in years, my family use to go every other week, so I thought I'd give it a try. The place hadn't changed in all these years. It looked exactly like I remember (which is not a good thing). It smelled like a dirty mop and looked worn down. I went in to the bar, to order take out. It was empty, with no employees in sight, I waited over five minutes before a kitchen worker came in. He let me know he'd tell someone I was there. That took another five minutes before a waitress showed up. She took my order and got me something to drink. The bartender came in several minutes later. Right after she came in two of her friends came in too. She did not acknowledge me at all even though I was sitting in front of the cash register. My food took twenty five minutes to be delivered. It was the first time I saw the waitress since she took my order. I only ordered a pizza and salad. Now, this was a to go order, I then had to wait on the check. I couldn't get the bartenders attention, she was to busy talking to her friends. The waitress finally showed up so, I asked her for the check, she told me the bartender had to give it to me. The waitress finally asked the bartender for my check (after I again had to wait over five minutes) and the bartender told her I would have to wait, she was busy. So, I waited again. When I finally got the check I wasn't sure if the tip would go to the bartender or the waitress, since the bartender closed out the check, so I tipped. If it was going to the bartender I wouldn't have.I don't recommend this place. The food was very mediocre, you can get better pizza at just about anywhere, and the salad was served with brown lettuce. The service was terrible and the staff either rude or uninterested.

I should have known from the sign advising slow service due to staff deficiencies that this was going to be an interesting meal.Here. I can solve the issue for you real quick. You don't need more staff. You need to get rid of your waitress "bunker" where they hide from your patrons. We were one of four tables in the dinning area and there were two waitresses in that area. I saw a bar tender and another waitress while we were there too. One table left before we had our appetizer served so that's two waitresses to three tables. No drink refill offers. I had to flag someone down to get a second beer after the empty bottle sat for 5 minutes and the waitress avoid my glaze every trip to the kitchen.Table of five.Three kids. One ordered an adult meal.Wife and I ordered full meals. Two dinner rolls for the table. If they only go with full meals, that still leaves 3 people to get rolls with three adult meals. When the appetizer arrived, we were asked if we wanted more rolls. They came after the meals were served. The salads were horrible. They were very cold, like they were nearly frozen. The lettuce was a bitter iceberg, and the cucumbers looked wilted.Stuffed banana peppers were good, but they were butterflied. This was our app. We got to eat it off the serving plate because no appetizer plates were given. Our daughter also ordered an app of cheese sticks. If they were true appetizers, it would be hard to share them with no plates. Were the waitresses overworked?Nope! They were often leaning up against the bar window hidden behind their little alcove, or they would enter the kitchen area and you could see them standing and BS'n though the kitchen window. My wife later told me she could see one checking her phone on the regular. There were less than 14 people between the three tables. If two waitresses can't handle 3 tables, you might as well give up now. They would come out and avoid direct eye contact. No "can I get you anything?" "How is everything?", or "would you like anything else?" They were no serving mentality displayed. Maybe they are not allowed to offer refills because the place serves everyone out of 16oz pop bottles. We had water and iced tea. Everyone got a bottle and a glass. No one was offered a refill and we had hot banana peppers as an app... No logic. The flounder was good. The corn side was smothered in butter.Pasta was mediocre.I hadn't been here in two decades because it is out of my way in a direction we rarely go. Probably will be another 20 years before we would try again.

A casual, family friendly moderately priced place with good cocktails! They have amazing full size wings! The wings are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They have their own "special" sauce that is delicious. We've been going there for years and I like everything I've ever eaten there. I've had steaks, crab legs, specials, fried zucchini, pierogies, burgers, chicken salad, and the desserts are delicious! Prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly.

So the food is usually really good but today it was okay. I got the cheeseburger with some fries and it took one hour to get it. The meat on the burger was really good but it would keep breaking which was annoying but that's okay but overall really recommend the pizza is amazing.

An institution and legend in these parts. As in everybody knows Dolfis pizza. It is a local love and not all will get it, but it is worth a try. I love their pasta. Veal or Chicken Parm is very well done. Ours love their steaks. This place hasn't changed since the early 70s so expect kitschy mixed with a western flare red leather and knobby wood. It's a fun place with good food at moderate prices. Give them a try.
