When we entered the parking lot, the awesome smell of wood smoke hits your nose! It seemed to be an encouraging sign. When ordering (a Saturday at ~12:30 p.m.), we were informed the ribs were not yet ready. No problem, things happen. Instead, we settled on a trio of sliders (brisket, chicken, and pork) and a brisket sandwich. It was disappointing to see foil pans opened and our meat reheated. Typically, I associate BBQ restaurants with products straight out of the smoker. It was "OK". The service was pleasant with a very sweet cashier. I overheard someone mention "it was a tough morning", so maybe this was just an unlucky trip.

This bbq place is surprisingly serving up some of the best po boys in the area! My friend and I got the oyster and shrimp po boys to split last week and we absolutely loved them! I used to work at a seafood restaurant, and shrimp po boys were a favorite when I worked there. Doc's poboys we're fresh and chock full of hot, deep fried goodness! There is a considerable amount of bread on the sandwich, but it's a top quality hoagie bun. The oyster po boy was my personal favorite but the shrimp was also incredible; the oysters were cooked perfectly and the batter stayed in tact. I haven't had fried oysters in years and Doc's reminded me why I loved them so much! The remoulade sauce was also delicious. I didn't try bbq, but, based on the po boys, Doc's easily gets 5 stars in my book - this is probably my new favorite restaurant in Cecil! Prices are also very reasonable too.

Don't bother stopping here! The reviews misled me. Or maybe I'm wrong about everything I know about making ribs! Got a half rack today for $14. They would have been ok if they maybe sauced both sides or just added enough to cover them. They'd would have been ok if said sauce wasn't from a jar. They would have been ok if they would have put some sort of seasoning/rub on them not even salt and pepper. They would have be ok if they weren't boiled then reheated for 5 minutes on a grill and servered. If you make your own ribs or just know what good ribs are supposed to be like keep driving. Very disappointing.

Really enjoyed my experience here today! I got the special of the day, which was cheesy potatoes topped with chicken, bbq sauce, cheese, and onion straws. It was a huge portion for $7.99 and really filled me up!When I was waiting for my food I also saw some tasty looking mini pies and decided to grab one of those, too. It was delicious and a great compliment to the savory meal.I just have to mention the friendliness of the workers as well. The man and woman I encountered were just so nice and welcoming. Definitely a great little spot and you feel good knowing you are supporting very kind people as well.Would recommend and I will be going back!

Really a great place to stop if you are in the area. The staff and the owner were out talking with us as we ordered and making recommendations. I always seem to get the brisket and it is very good. Also, had the slaw and it is better than most. The smoked meatloaf look great. Will definitely have to stop back and try that next time.

We went there for lunch today and it did not disappoint!! We had a rack of ribs, pulled pork sandwich, Mac-n-cheese, and southern fried cabbage. Everything was delicious and we had enough left over to have dinner! We will definitely be back!!!

I am not a huge bbq fan. It has to be fantastic. Doc's bbq is fantastic. The brisket slider is perfection. The wings are big, flavorful and the perfect spicy. The ribs fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. The deviled eggs are so good I can't believe they are deviled eggs. Don't get me started on the hand held pies.Try everything. It is so good!

Just moved nearby and have driven past Doc's many times, finally got a chance to give them a try and was very impressed. Penny at the front was super nice! Had the ribs, brisket and brisket chili with chuck wagon baked beans and an order of greens. Not enough BBQ places around here serve greens so happy days here. Ribs were great and you gotta get those beans!

smoked baby back ribs were done to perfection. Extremely tasty and good smoke. The other treat was the side dishes such as the cabbage and bacon and the greens and ham.
