DiCarlo's Pizza - St Clairsville

Being a pizza connoisseur I thought I had tried every regional variety of pizza. Somehow I missed one, The Ohio Valley Style Pizza. While working in the area and staying in a nearby hotel, I discovered this pizza that has been missing from my life. To describe this style of pizza, it is a square pizza with delicious crust, and it is baked with sauce, then cold toppings including shredded cheese are added after baking. The cheese melts slightly on the hot crust. An excellent pizza!Service was very friendly and helpful. I asked a few questions since it was my first visit, and the employee gave me a very detailed explanation of the Ohio Valley style. He described the various toppings available, and made a recommendation. I ordered my pizza, a veggie with every vegetable available, and returned at the time he stated it would be ready.When I returned my pizza had just been taken out of the oven. The employee told me that it looked so good he thought about making another one just like it for himself. The small dining g area was very clean and tidy. There were several tables available but I decided to take my pizza back to the hotel. My pizza was delicious! I loved the sauce, the toppings, the cheese, and crust. Definitely I will return the next time I am working in the area.

Absolutely yummy!! we ordered the full tray deluxe pizza. It was loaded and they took extra care to cook it to perfection.My tip: get their salad to go with it. Their house Italian dressing is by far.

Pizza by the sliceThey have a very unique Sicilian style of pizza. The cheese might appear unmelted. The bread goes in the oven, the cheese never goes in the oven. The heat from the bread melts the cheese. For $3.50 (July 2023) you can get two slices of cheese pizza, GREAT VALUE.

The gluten free pizza was homemade and fresh! Usually, it's outsourced. I was very impressed!

Outstanding pizza! Great Service. This is the best pizza in the area by far. Wish we had one in Morgantown.

Of all DiCarlos, and I have tried many, this one finishes in last place.Ordered pizza, and I totally get the idea that with square pizza such as this the cheese never goes in the oven. However, I opened the box, and the cheese was completely unmelted. (The idea is the heat from the crust melts it)I took a bite, it was cold. I put a food thermometer to it and the pizza surface under the cheese was 64 degrees F.If you want square pizza in St C, drive 2 blocks down to Papa D's

Service was on time and the staff were very friendly. Pizza was delicious and consistent with the brand!

Typical Ohio valley style pizza. I don't normally like canned mushrooms, but they somehow work on this pizza. Not as good as Home Pizza used to be, but still good.

Great pizza, great service, you might have to wait a little while, but everything is baked fresh so it is worth it!

Terrible service and rude. I order pizza and paid over phone. I went in on my phone told guy my name he hand me pizza and RIPPED back out of my hand and put back on oven. I hung up phone and he went back over and handed it to me again, SAME PIZZA, I ask what was wrong. He point at sign taped to counter and said no service while on cell phone. I said " you got to be kidding" and he started to lecture me a 50 year old man. I told him that was stupid he did not even talk just handed me the pizza. He said few select things but said if want pizza HANG UP PHONE. I said a few select word back and he told me to "GET OUT" does not need my business in his place. I will never return!!! I ask everyone to stop going or do not go!!!! SERVICE AND PERSONALITY TERRIBLE!!!!!
