Dicarlos Pizza - Highlands

Yummy as always! This location is clean and quick. Always gotta get the extra cold cheese. Cheap too! Great, fast dinner in the Highlands when everything else is a 45 minute wait.

It's hard to rate Dicarlos comparatively to a typical pizza place. Dicarlos is anything but typical, in a good way. Basic menu. You order by squares. It's cheap and great value for the price. I ordered the six square for $8. It comes with one topping. What's unusual about Dicarlos is that the toppings are added after the crust and sauce has been baked. For those that have to have it traditional they will melt the cheese if you ask. I'm adventurous so I figured why not see what Dicarlos tradition is all about. On advice from someone I ordered it extra crispy. Great call as the crust had that nice crunch to it. The sauce has an nice tang with a little sweetness to it. Crust as i said was awesome. The cold cheese was a neat spin. Honestly I liked it. The only part I didn't care for was the cold uncooked pepperoni. I mean come on. You gotta render that fat and let it sink into the sauce and such. But it was placed on top of the cheese so if you are going to cook it you have to add it to the top of the sauce and then throw the cold cheese on top. I suppose they would have done that for me but I wanted tradition. So I say keep doing what you are doing Dicarlos but consider cooking that pepperoni to render the fat and flavor profile.

Di Carlo's Pizza at the Highlands is excellent. Probably one of the best I have had. Customer service was great very polite and courtesy. I Recommend everyone stop by and try a slice.

Absolutely blown away. Just like it used to be when I'd get it as a kid growing up in Pgh. Nothings changed. Same crispy crust , same great sauce, generous toppings. Truly worth the drive.

This place is trash..... check your pizza before you leave i wish i did the crust is cooked but everything else is still un cooked.

Pizza is delicious! The Dicarlos brand of pizza is different from other chains. The cheese and pepperoni is placed on the crust after coming out of the oven. It doesn't make it wrong like another reviewer complains. It makes it different but delicious! Give it a try !

Great pizza, much better than Patsy's (as long as it's fresh and not reheated).Fast service and very friendly staff. I've been recommending them whenever the subject of area pizza comes up!
