I'll start by saying that I am typically NOT a fan of Italian food. I think I have in my mind that Italian food is simply pasta and red sauce and maybe a chicken parm or something...But let me tell you...DiAnoia's was a TREAT! I came here with a group from Pitt, so we had the upstairs event room, and it was a buffet/catered experience. The choice of cocktails was very good, and I ended up going with a Manhattan which was very smooth. For dinner we had a salad that was AMAZING. I'm not sure if it was the house salad or not, but the crunchy chickpeas were so good, so much so that I started buying these to make salads at home! For pasta, I went with the Cacio e Pepe - and I can't say enough about how cheese and pepper can taste so good. There's something special in their recipe that reminds you of eating your Nonna's traditional dishes. The shrimp scampi was also a treat, and I definitely overate. And there was so much food left over that they encouraged us to take home left overs. I took more salad and saved for a snack the next day, reliving the joy of eating it the first time!DiAnoia's has changed my opinion of what it means to eat Italian, and I would definitely come back here when I was in town!

If you are in Pittsburgh and you want to check out a cool restaurant. This is the place for you. The restaurant is very cool inside and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had the bread dish as an appetizer and it was delicious. You got to try it out. The pasta is delicious and fresh. Well worth the trip

Delicious and authentic Italian food in Pittsburgh. But of course! Pittsburgh has a great Italian population, so I'd expect nothing short of a meal that tasted like it came straight from a nanas kitchen. We when we first arrived, we were greeted right away. The vibe is more casual than I thought it'd be. The bar was centrally situated so it made for a great sound as cocktails were being shaken. I had a mocktail bc I wasn't feeling great. The service was great. We had crispy Brussels, short rib ragu, cassccere al funghi, some desserrs... all of it was yummy. I definitely want to go back to try more dishes. The menu has so much to offer and other tables seemed to pick additional items worthy of trying.Already looking forward to my next visit.

Great spot for lunch in the strip! During lunch hours you order at the counter, get a number and sit at a table and food is brought to you! Service was quick and friendly! I got the cold caprese panini and my friend got the house salad!

I mean if you are looking for top of the line italian food... look no further! Fantastic, delicious, so tasty. The bread with the whipped ricotta is iconic and an immediate yes. The pastas are all so fantastic, but the rigatoni with nduja meatballs is unmatched. The sad reality is it can be hard to get a reservation here, but if you get in go go go !!

I went with a big group and we did family style. Everything was so good. And I loved getting to try multiple dishes. The house salad I could easily eat it everyday. And the fresh bread and whipped ricotta...I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing. The pastas were all delicious. The staff was so great.

One day before grocery shopping in the Strip me and my gal friend stumbled in here without a reservation. We wanted great drinks and great pasta as we heard this place was delish. I went with the Cavolo Nero which was Spaghetti with Kale, Pesto, Roasted Garlic Chili Flakes, Burrata, and Pine Nuts. The pine nuts make this dish perfectbecause I love the crunch, Also the spicy rainbow carrots were everything! The people were friendly and the service was quick. It's not a place that I'll go often as it got a little pricy quickly but it was a nice treat.

A fantastic birthday dinner spot, four of us snagged a reservation to celebrate! I love when you can order wines by the bottle for groups, especially when they have such a great selection. Getting the whipped ricotta along with your bread is a nonnegotiable and totally worth the addition. It's fantastic and light enough that you'll still want to dig into your pasta. The short rib pasta was amazing, and tasted fantastic the next day for lunch too! I was very jealous when I had a bite of my partner's meatballs and gnocchi dish. I'll definitely order it next time! Parking is always a battle in the Strip, make sure you get there early!

Italian food in Pittsburgh that really lives up to the hype! We had a reservation on Saturday night and got sat early which was wonderful. The service was excellent! We started with the fresh bread which came out warm and covered in oil and Parmesan cheese. I would consider the gnocchi and meatballs to be perfect. It was exactly what I expected it to be; the tomato sauce was sweet yet tangy and the gnocchi were soft pillows of joy. I don't typically go for meatballs but these were so good. The rainbow cookie was good, but these tiramisu was some of the most delicious I've ever had!

I somehow had yet to try the gnocchi pumpkin bowl at DiAnoia's so I made dinner reservations about month ago. It was really busy for a Wednesday but totally worth the visit. The gnocchi pumpkin bowl was worth the hype with pillowy soft gnocchi and a delightful pumpkin cream in an actual pumpkin! It was SO much food - we were fools to think we could finish our bowls in one sitting and took home lots of leftovers. They plan to offer this dish through October and maybe November (availability depends on their farmers). Also, shoutout to the delicious short rib ragu and the two plates of focaccia that we devoured within minutes.
