Meal: House Salad with Spaghetti and Meatballs (requested the bread as well) Drink: WaterTimeframe: Dinner I've been to Dennison yard many times but this is my first time providing a yelp review. We had a large group for an early dinner before the polar express ride! The yard was extremely busy but the service was great, even to the point that the hostess helped accommodate our large group by keeping an eye on another large party so we could have their table when they finished. Our server was attentive and kind. The ambiance was a mixture of a bar type feel but had cozy vibes due to different memorabilia on the walls. Although the yard was on a limited polar express menu, my meal was okay, the red sauce was a little sweet and unfortunately they were out of the homemade spaghetti noodles. The star of my meal was the house salad with their house Italian dressing, very tangy and delicious. The best part was we didn't have to rush and got out in plenty of time to make our train ride!

If you're looking for a local staple that never disappoints, "The Yard" is the place to go!I have eaten here many times in my life and it is consistently great. Last night I swung in with two other people. We were initially nervous about a wait time since The Polar Express, which is a major event held literally across the street during Christmastime, was occurring. While there was more traffic, our wait time was still very small as they were quickly moving the service along. We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and enjoyed their holiday drink menu. The peppermint martini was divine, as was their Christmas ale. For an appetizer we ordered the Italian nachos. The come LATHERED and the serving size is great. The one in the photo is just a half order (the lighting makes the color look a liiiiittle off - they really are delicious!) We also shared a pizza with the works. Their pizza sauce is always a little sweet without being too much. Our server was extremely friendly and quick, visiting the table the perfect amount. Once again, I was impressed with the speed of service considering how busy they were without them appearing to be rushing. Just excellent. The restaurant is decked out with local memorabilia. The one side of the restaurant has doors that will open up in the summer to transform it into a patio space. It's the perfect small town feel with an authentic dining experience.

Small restaurant in Dennison. Has a great bar with live music on Wednesdays in the Summer. Great service and beautiful bar. I don't drink but everyone looks like they are having a great time. There is an outside patio that is very inviting. You can also have your event catered. The photos inside are pretty cool, they are from the 40s or 50s.

Absolutely amazing! Gluten free pasta, pizza and salad. I had the JoPa pizza - soooo yummy. Told it's in separate pan and GF. SUPER cute restaurant. Erica provided terrific service, my tea was always topped off!!Great gluten free items, huge portions, yummy food and wonderful service!!

The food was good but the serving sizes are a joke. For $14. I got a very small serving of pasta, with less than a handful of spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, sweet peppers and garlic, combined.... Very disappointing.........The service was good from the start and waned through the mid portion but came back around when the food finally arrived. The ambiance is definitely one of the best things about visiting this establishment. It's decorated in an early Americana, retro, vintage, with a local sport flare. Great atmosphere and vibe. Too bad the food quality and serving sizes don't match the decor.

Service was good. Lasagna was great. Atmosphere was good. Margarita pizza had far too much sauce on it. Far too much. Bathrooms were cryptic. If you don't want to clearly label your bathroom, don't roll your eyes when someone uses the wrong one. Instead of a large picture of a person eating pasta where there are lights creating glare, maybe just write words... seems easy. And prices felt inflated. Saving grace here was the servers nice smile and the lasagna.

Visited Dennison Yard for a late lunch recently. The patio was a great place to enjoy lunch on such a beautiful day. We started off with a plate of Italian nachos for an appetizer and they were pretty tasty. But the meatball sub was lacking. It was advertised as being open faced, and for $11.50 I thought I was going to receive a nice portion of meatballs. Alas, it was your standard small sub bun, closed up with three average sized meatballs, too little sauce and too little cheese, making it a bit dry. The meatballs tasted ok, but they were a bit dry as well. Our waitress was attentive, providing good service with a smile.

Great pizza!! Great music. Amazing service. Highly recommend. 10000000%. Get there early. Or call ahead though. They got us in pretty quick on a Sunday night. 20 min wait. During peak Christmas train hours.

Dennison Yard is the only decent place to eat here. It's more of a bar. Their specialty is pizza. It's a good place for watching a game. They get lots of locals and tourists. It looks like one of the few restaurants in Dennison that's not a chain. It's across the street from the railroad museum. This is the reason many tourists come here, to see trains. It seems to be more of a bar. This isn't exactly family friendly. Anyone bringing kids from the museum may just want to go somewhere else. They serve pizza that comes from Pangrazio's. It's a locally owned pizza place that's just a few blocks away. That would be a better place for kids. A problem that may be big for a lot of people was that they couldn't serve alcohol. It appears they lost their liquor license, so that sucks for them. I ordered a calzone. It's about $8 and toppings are a dollar each. This comes with a very good marinara sauce. It was good even though they had no drinks. The food made up for it. This is definitely the best restaurant in town.

This should be more than 3.5 stars. I had the Pittsburgh Pierogies and kids had Ravioli and Meatball Fomaggio. All was exceptional, perfectly cooked. There was no waiting on the wait staff even though the place was packed on a Tuesday evening. And to me the price wS inexpensive. 50%-60% of what I'd pay in NY for same
