A stop at DeLucas for deli meats, cheese and their wonderful rolls has become an anchor point for my Saturdays. The biscotti is next level. So glad to have this business on the boulevard!

I wasn't sure what to expect from the place due to the mixed reviews, but I was in the mood for some comfort food, so I decided to give them a try.I ordered Delivery via Doordash. The meatball hoagie was very good, though it just had 2 meatballs and was smaller than I would have expected. I think 3 meatballs is better, as to balance out the bread, but everything was so delicious and flavorful! I also built my own sub with turkey and roast beef and cheddar, and it was excellent! All items that I requested were included, with generous portions of lunchmeat, and the vegetable toppings and dressing tasted super fresh. The mini cannoli was deliciousThe Napoleon dessert was pretty good, with a beautiful decorated icing topping. It was a huge square slice of what tasted like a vanilla pudding with crispy thin layers in between. Everything was well packed, especially the Napoleon, which was packaged in one of those beautiful bakery boxes.I would definitely recommend them for fresh, delicious food at a great price. Preparation and delivery were fast, and everything I ordered was there. Please support local businesses during this time!

I came here as this was the 2nd stop of our Pittsburgh Food tour and it was really lovely. The original family running this store is no longer there, but the folks currently running the place are still using the original recipes. Our tasting here consisted of a plain biscotti (pretty decent) and a thumb print cookie. I also spotted pizzelles, cannoli and tons of other traditional Italian desserts. There's such a variety of stuff and everything tasted very local and home made. However if you have been to Italy, you can totally tell that the stuff sold here is a bit more Americanized in taste and that's not a bad thing, but just a heads-up in case you decide to bring your visiting Italian cousins.Another thing that did get get me excited was that they were selling Tarrone imported from Rome, since when I was here, it was around Easter time.Yelp Review 41/2017

FYI- No one here wears a mask and they have signs on their door that say you don't have to wear a mask to enter, and they basically discourage people from wearing them.

Favorite bakery. Stop here almost every day for coffee and pastries. Worth it! They have a wide variety from doughnuts to snacks to cakes. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner; they go above and beyond. From a small snack to munch on to a full lunch sub with sides; they do not disappoint.

Excellent local Italian bakery/deli, which is my dream combination. They offer sandwiches to order, which have all been very good, and also lunch meat sold deli style. I love boars head, which is what they sell, and they often have nice sales, as boars head is known to be a bit pricey. My favorite thing to buy here though hands down are the cannolis!!! It's not easy to find a good one in Pittsburgh and I'm so lucky that I can get them right down the street!!

Great bakery! Except rude customer service, my boyfriend and I were greeted rudely and rushed to make a decision on what we wanted.

Icing disgusting, owner rude. I recently had a cake made for my daughters birthday. We always get our cakes here because they've been so good in the past. I even took 2 buses and an Uber home, JUST to get a cake from here! This time they changed the recipe of the icing and it's nearly flavorless and greasy. We contacted them using the form provided on their website, but never heard anything back so we left a review. They initially replied to the review with a measured response, so I was going to call them, then noticed it had been changed. The owner of Deluca's, Rob Deluca, was extremely rude saying: "Instead of posting try the old fashion way of calling and leaving your name and phone number so a manager can get back to you." And then admitting that they lied in their first response, that the icing had been changed, suggesting for me to "read up" on trans fats. He finished with "Had you spoken with a manager this would of been settled the correct way." As stated, we DID contact Deluca's, using the contact form PROVIDED ON THEIR WEBSITE, which they apparently don't check and will castigate for using instead of " try the old fashion way". I always suggested this bakery in the past, and now I regret that and giving them my money in the first place since Rob Deluca has been so rude.

They make a great sandwich and their lunch meat is high quality. I also love their brownies. I have been supporting this neighborhood small business since they opened, and every time I shop here the ladies get progressively more rude. The employees roll their eyes and make snarky remarks about other customers after they leave the store, etc. Granted I'm sure many of these comments are deserved, but it makes me very uncomfortable to have to stand there and listen to it knowing they will probably insult me once I leave as well. The last straw for me was when I ordered take-out lunch meat during COVID-19 and the woman who took my order over the phone gave me wicked attitude for asking if I could pay over the phone. I love supporting all of my neighborhood small businesses but if they are unkind I can get sandwiches elsewhere.
