This place . This is a regular date spot and I love coming here. The building is beautful, the space is beautful and the food is amazing. We had a reservation but I arrived during happy hour and the bar had a TON of space (very unusual, but likely due to a Halloween parade event happening that night) so we decided to stay at the bar for dinner. Dinner: First order, not pictured, was the house red wine on special. It's a blend and it is on tap! Very nice, approachable wine. They also have mini pizzas on special during happy hour so I decided to order the pesto, and let me tell you it was one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. I am so sad that I didn't get a photo, but we inhaled it. Mortadella, pesto, burrata, pistachio, parm. I was still thinking about it days later (and even now). My partner usually doesn't go for things like that, but also loved it! We did a full sized New Yorker, which never disappoints. That pepperoni is . We also shared the tortellini in brodo, which was very good but I felt it was missing something. Maybe I expected the pasta to be more soft and delicate in the broth . It may just have been that I was so blown away by the pizza. I would order the pasta again, but it just wasn't the star of the night for us. The broth was delicious, everything had good flavor. For dessert we had the cannoli, 2 perfectly sized for sharing. Also, no photo. When we get to chatting and dining, I frequently opt to stay present and then miss the photo op for the food. Oops! Well keep going back to this spot and it's a great place to dine at the bar too. The stools are comfy and the bartenders are always very friendly. If you have not visited, it's worth the drive out of the city!

Della Terra is a perfect restaurant if you are looking for delicious food and drinks. The atmosphere and staff were upscale and welcoming, while the food and drinks were fresh and flavorful. Each couple ordered a different appetizer, but we ordered the meatballs. You receive two meatballs over polenta, which was the perfect size for two people to share. For dinner, our group ordered just about one of everything. Not one person had anything negative to say about their dish. Each flavor in the pasta dishes paired perfectly with each other, the steak was cooked just the way all steaks should be, and the pizzas were tasty. They do have a happy hour, but our waitress explained that it is only at the bar. If you plan to bring a cake to celebrate a birthday, be ready to pay a $2 fee per person. The parking situation is not the best, so be sure to arrive early to find a spot. Also, the menu options change often, so a dish you love may not be available next time you dine here. If I am ever in the area again, I would love to try more dishes from Della Terra.

Disappointed, very salty, overcooked, claustrophobic. Positive first: Really nice atmosphere - downstairs. Quite excellent, properly attentive server. Helpful staff when we were 4 minutes late arriving. Salad had great ingredients and properly chopped but... too many buts. Enough for a negative review and I usually don't do this...Please put down the salt. Great potential on flavors BUT everything, everything over-salted, and we aren't a "salt-free" home so that's saying something. Noodles ("pasta" would he generous) both under-cooked (not yet "al dente" and yes I know what that means!) AND over sautéed. Sauces salty.Salad had great ingredients and properly chopped but over-dressed, super heavy on the cheese and more salt than could accounted for in cheese and anchovies. Meatball over-compressed and again salty. I was excited to see "Speck" on the menu but so over-cooked that bacon bits had better texture. Yes we arrived 4 minutes late but were pleasant and even joking with the staff and, with only one other couple in the cramped, dark, not-scenic upstairs room (not recommended) our group of four was seated right next to the only other guests there, in a corner... and they never filled up.In response to this restaurant may say "well, why didn't you say something? "... Often times reviewers are there with friends or family, and it would be inappropriate to return an entrée and suffer, waiting a half an hour for a replacement to arrive, or being perceived as a "Karen ". I am also summoning up a conversation we had once leaving the restaurant, as I did not know our dining companions were equally disappointed while eating, we were all being, as it turns out, too polite. On our way out we may have found one reason why: a crowd of mainly "young women in their twenties" at many tables, and lots of raucous drinking. Not recommended for any social setting other than that. And we had such high hopes.

We had a great visit for dinner and took out of family with us. The pizzas and pastas were delicious and could easily be shared if you grab a few items for the table. Can't wait to be back!

Delicious. I love the modern interior and eclectic menu. We were seated earlier than our reservation, and service was excellent all night long. We started with hearth bread and antipasta and our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! So much phenomenal food. The charcuterie hit all the right notes - salty, sweet, acidic, savory, and of course, yummy! The bread was freshly baked and the perfect accompaniment to the antipasta plate. For entrees we had the Bianca pizza and the cacciatore pasta. The pizza had all the flavor notes -good funkiness from the bleu, sweetness from the honey, and crunchiness from kale made for a mouthwatering bite! The pasta - I'm struggling with right adjectives. Think of a slow-cooked sauce from grandma's house. It was divine. We split both dishes, and it was plenty for 2. Tiramisu to top of meal was delicious. Della Terra entered our top 3 Italian restaurants in the Pittsburgh area after this fantastic meal!

1st time here...3rd stop with my pizza passport. Snuck into a single spot at bar 10 mins after open which shows how popular they are. Had a spot right next to the fire to watch the kitchen bust their butt to put out great looking food. Ordered the nduja pie which came out as a 4 cut (thought it was 1 slice). The nduja and fresh mozz paired well but the real stars were the roasted shallots that pulled everything together. The sauce was thin and delicious. Crust had a perfect char up top...super thin and a bit floppy in the center. Had the tiramisu for dessert and it was a great end to the meal as well. Bartender fantastic...super sociable and talked about their product passionately. Mad respect for that...I'll be back soon to explore the rest of menu!

I wish I'd tried this place years ago!Wonderful service and amazing food. Definitely a new favorite. Like so many others, loved the Caesar salad (although I would have preferred a little less dressing)! Fried Artichokes were delicious. Hubby had the New Yorker pizza which we loved.
