Dee Jay's BBQ Ribs & Grille - Racetrack Rd

We made reservations for a Saturday night, but it wasn't crowded at all when we arrived, so probably wasn't needed. We were seated immediately, and the server also came over to wait on us right away. We were very impressed with the service, as well as the quantity of food for the price. My chicken sandwich was a little dry but nothing a little BBQ sauce couldn't fix. The twisty fries were so good, too!

I've been coming to this location since it was Buford's. This place has a great all around American menu and they are well known for their ribs. On this particular visit I came with a customer to discuss business and have a bite to eat. I ordered the chicken salad and it was good except I couldn't help but notice the vinaigrette dressing that the salad was tossed in was tasteless. No biggie, I ended up asking for some ranch.

Now that I've been here for dinner, and brunch.. I'd like to give this place a five star review! Service has always been really great both times. They always have deals on their prize wheel and money off for signing up for rewards. I've loved the space since it's been Buford's, very fun and relaxed. The food was incredible and we even had free dessert offered to us for "national dessert day" will definitely be back!

Not as good as it used to be. The salad was a big disappointment, even though they were not busy- the waitress never checked back and no refills offered.

See Jay's has theeeee best ribs and you can't tell me any different! You'd be absolutely insane to go to Dee Jay's and not get the ribs. A whole rack is big enough to share. My husband and I like the share the whole rack and the 2 sides and maybe get an app or two. Surprisingly enough, the strawberry daiquiris are also delicious!

We have eaten at this location of Dee Jay's on two occasions, both of which were very good to excellent. On January 28 we went to the restaurant for a reward celebration of my wife's birthday. Firstly, the server who helped us was Anne (sic?), who was personable, professional, and helpful. The food we ordered was respectively, a baby back rib combo with sweet potato fries and a second side for my wife and a crispy chicken dinner for me. The food was outstanding, with the smokey ribs perfectly sauced, with a crisp bark and a lovely smoke ring, tender meat and great fries. My 24 hour marinated chicken strip (large strips, not thin tenders) was moist, hand breading crisp with no grease from frying at the right temperature, and the best I have had outside the finest southern state versions. Prices are reasonable and the portions are generous, not undersized nor over the top. This was fine dining in a casual setting. On the previous experience, a Mothers' Day crowd overwhelmed the place with near SRO customers being the order of the day. The service with our table of 10 was just as gracious and careful, although very busy crowd made for a different experience for brunch; the food however was just delicious. Try the location and see.

Their "beef on weck" has the beef, but not the weck. "Beef on weck" is supposed to be served on a kimmelweck roll, a roll coated with caraway seeds and coarse salt. Mine had neither.Get with the program, DJ's.ll

Ribs, Loaded Potato Skin...salads are Great! But forget the new Beef on Weck sandwich! The beef was just ok, not great, but the roll was the most disappointing! Was not a true Kimelweck roll! And never, never is there Sause on it....but Horseradish is always offered! The chef needs to take a road trip to WNY! And visit The Bar Bill, or Charlie the Butcher who even has a recipe for Kimelweck rolls on line...just saying!

This seems like a hit or miss kinda place. So I'll just put in order first what I absolutely recommend to last do not even bother getting. The jalapeno Mac and cheese, the ribs, green beans, Bloody Mary, the 3 small shrimp that come with the rib and shrimp combo.

The ribs were good and would recommend going for the ribs. I ordered the combo of ribs and grilled shrimp, and was very disappointed. This maybe the worst "combo" I have ever had. Again the ribs were good, the shrimp on the other had.. Dee Jays should be ashamed to call this a combo. There were literally 3 small, tasteless shrimp. Grilled? Not really. Very disappointing.
