Sometimes good but changes need made. We've had good to average experiences each time we came here to dine. Fish on Fridays is decent. They give you 2 menus a regular menu with seemingly 100s of items on it, and a print out specials menu. We always order from the specials menu (which is quite large itself) because we're scared that the regular dishes cannot possibly be be fresh. This is something I hope they change. Another thing I thought was tacky was the Halloween decorations everywhere you look mixed with a clutter of classic Italian decorations. Just makes it look messy. On a good note the staff all seemed kind and helpful. The complimentary bread and oil is also actually quite nice. I hope the management can streamline the decorations and menu, because we like this little Italian restaurant and we hope it succeeds.

Saw an ad in the newspaper for this place. Never been here before, but I thought I would give it a try. It was Friday, so I thought I'd order a fish dinner. You can get broiled, fried panko coated, or beer battered. They also offer your choice of a regular fish dinner, a dinner with an extra large piece of fish, or all you can eat. I chose the panko coated extra large fish. It comes with cole slaw and bread and butter, and your choice of side: either French fries, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, or a baked potato. I selected mashed potatoes. They scored big points with me as the mashed potatoes are REAL potatoes and not instant. The fish was outstanding... perhaps the best in the Mahoning Valley. It wasn't greasy. It was a generous size piece of fish, served hot and delicious. My wife who is not a fan of fried fish at all couldn't stop from taking "samples" from my plate. It's that good! The restaurant is a little out of the way, but it's worth the drive. I'm going back soon to try some of their other menu items.

Never had a good experience here. Service is incredibly slow and the owner is rude. The food is very good just a bad experience.

If DeChellis' was in the middle of a city, I'd give it three stars -- because it's quaint, clean, laid back, and reasonably inexpensive for the quality of the menu offerings and the execution of the recipes. But because of where it's located -- basically in the middle of almost completely rural nowhere, in a non-descript but well-maintained building (the purple awnings are a smart touch, because they're the only thing that stands out amid a slow river of grey cinder block and beige brick buildings that line the Rt 170 roadside) -- it gets four stars. Because it's a rare and happy find to stumble onto a place like this without any forethought.Go with reasonable expectations for what it is -- you'll be pleasantly surprised, and you'll leave happy. Would make a nice impromptu date for a new couple, or one that finds themselves in transit and hankering for a decent sit-down meal.

We returned to have dinner after a Steelers game. Sadly, DeChelli's is going downhill: the table next to us complained that their fried mushrooms were soggy and tasted off. The stromboli I ordered was half the size they used to be. And it tasted like the dough had been frozen for a while. My friend got the skillet pasta and she said it was okay. Something is off here. Call it a lack of caring, lack of attention to detail, but it sure isn't the same place it was 5-6 years ago. Bummer.

I believe they may be closed. There is a for sale sign up outside. The restaurant has been going downhill for years now.
