This is a great brewery-probably one of my favorite spots in Pittsburgh. The beer always hits, they have a spacious taproom with indoor and outdoor seating. Great vibes, great people. They have a lot of styles to pick from ranging from hazys to more traditional styles. They make a great Pilsner and Schwartz. Their Lustra pale ale is one of my favorite beers. They recently built a nice deck outside around their permanent food truck, Blue Sparrow which is super nice in good weather. I also love how there are always plants inside to purchase or a free propagation wall. They have great merch and also feature a local artist on a rotating basis so you can buy art there too! They always have cans and/or bottles on site for purchase. There is a decent sized parking lot on site or street parking throughout Sharpsburg. This brewery does not allow dogs, but I respect it . They're part of the Pittsburgh Brewers Guild-so you can get a stamp and prizes here.

I'll be honest, I almost didn't come here, twice! The first reason was because I had one of their beers at another bar, and the quality was really low, at the time I thought this was a result of their just not bringing very good beers, but now that I've had beers on tap at their brewery, it probably had something to do with the way the keg and lines were treated at the bar.The second time was because I accidentally went to their old location and thought they were closed.I am happy to report that they have a pretty expansive selection of beer, although most of them are IPAs. They still had a small amount of crisp lagers on tap though, and they were really well-designed beers, I wish they would do a Cold IPA or a West Coast Pilsner! My favorites were definitely the festbier and dry-hopped pilsner! The permanent foodtruck they have here (Blue Sparrow) is delicious and inventive enough that this brewery is worth visiting even if you don't drink beer!

One of the top breweries in one of the best if not the best breweries in the city. They have great IPA's , always, and their 'Dunkel' is amazing.

6+IPAs on draft, with fun names, fantastic art work, on-site parking, & an outdoor patio area....sold! not only sold, but we added a * must-visit when creating our self-made Pittsburg beer tourI had no idea at the time they had won America's favorite brewery, & while it wouldn't necessarily claim a top spot in my favorites, I can agree their flavors & ambiances were fantastic beers ranging $7-8, ample variety, and friendly bartenders allowing for small sip samples to decide- we were very impressed with a number of their IPAswe selected Galaxy & Better One or Two Two- had samples of Etch, Gravel Grinder- all had very unique hazy flavors ranging levels of lightness, rich & creamy, crisp & juicy, or dank hopsI really wish 1. they offered flights 2. they offered mix&match to-go packs (lucky Buddy's on Carson has a lot of their IPAs in their mix&match cooler, so we were able to pick up a good variety to bring home)plenty of inside & outside seating, food truck was on site at the time of our visit, big screens to watch gamesoverall, excellent visit- would frequent if we lived close & would definitely have my fridge consistently stocked with Dancing Gnome beer

I stopped by recently, but I was disappointed when I pulled up and walked up to the building to see that they were closed, but then I saw a sign on the door that they had moved down the street to a new location. So my disappointment soon turned into excitement as we walked up to a brewery marvel. The exterior of their new location is electrifying in all regards. The exterior lighting to the architecture inside and outside of this location is beyond your typical brewery and the parking is plentiful. Listen, I get it that they grew beyond their old walls and that speaks volumes of the brewery scene in Pittsburgh, but those old building breweries with all the character will always have my heart.Btw: Sharpsburg happens to be one of my favorite neighborhoods in the Pittsburgh area and the growth that has happened and is happening is a beautiful thing to see.The day I visited they were jam packed and they had a BBQ food truck that was popping and from what I was seeing people eat it looked amazing and even though we didn't eat I am sure they had something vegan I could have tried. The service was fast and the beers were delicious.I can't wait to come back and spend more time here and drink more of their beers and meet some cool peeps.I also purchased a couple of their mugs and glasses which I now love drinking my craft beers from. Great job Dancing Gnome :D

no wine or local distillery options. Just surf side and stateside canned mixed drinks. No flights available. No tastings either. You order by half pint or full pint at bar after standing in line. Plenty of seating seating inside and out. And has some tables you can stand at. Big screen tv to watch the game on inside. No dogs allowed. Small parking on lot. Street parking also available.

The Dancing Gnome is a very friendly brewery located in the heart of Sharpsburg. They moved into a well lit and open space. Today, they had two different food trucks on their property. With seating inside and outside, there's plenty of room for you and your friends. They have a nice selection of beers, theirs and it looked like they had some guest breweries to choose from too.

I've known of Dancing Gnome for years, and finally a friend and I decided to check it out. I'm so glad we did!Dancing Gnome - located in Sharpsburg - has both indoor and outdoor seating, which I definitely appreciated; it would have been too hard to talk with my friend in the busy indoor area (which had both full tables and folks stopping in buy beer to take home). Rather than fighting to make ourselves heard, we got comfortable under some shade at an outdoor bench. Drink-wise, the only in-house brew I sampled was the Tentacle Squad - an IPA with tropical fruit undertones. I also had a can of Arsenal Cider, as I admit that I'm not a regular beer drinker, nor am I an IPA diehard (which Dancing Gnome specializes in). I know, I know: what was I doing at a brewery, especially this one, if I'm neither a frequent beer drinker or an IPA diehard?Well, in addition to always being open to trying out a local brewery at least once, my friend and I wanted to taste some of the food that was available that afternoon! Dancing Gnome doesn't have a kitchen, but it does host food trucks. The big draw last weekend was Blowfish BBQ, and boy were they a treat. My friend and I ordered a brisket sandwich and their brisket mac and cheese. Oh man. I had sampled food from Blowfish BBQ before, but a full meal was next-level - both the brisket and the mac were perfect!I left full and happy, and I'd definitely come back to the Dancing Gnome in the future. I love the vibes here, I actually want to try their German Gose, and I'd love to pair it with some great treats from another food truck...or from Blowfish BBQ if I happen to catch them again!

Dancing gnome is a cute brewery. They brew the beer on sight and the Blue Sparrow food truck has great food. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and they give great service. Their beer list is mostly IPAs though, so if you are like me and don't like IPAs, just be aware.

Dancing Gnome is one of my favorite breweries in Pittsburgh. They are very IPA heavy which suits me just fine. However, they have branched out into other styles in recent years. Today they have a Dunkel, a Kölsch, a Pilsner, a Czech- style lager and an English Brown Ale available. I love that they display which hops are used in their IPAs and can explain what flavors different hops bring to the various ales. The tap room has a large projection tv that is showing a Pens game tonight. Blue Sparrow delivers food to the tap room and several folks are eating delicious looking pizzas. I just stopped for a beer, though. The new tap room is a fantastic space! Stop in if you're in Sharpsburg!
