First and foremost I am shocked at the bad reviews I've read and feel that most of them stem from long ago or just a bad day?Because my experience was amazing, outstanding, down right phenomenal! Chef Lek and her team are gracious, warm and welcoming. They walked us through the menu being new guests and made sure we felt comfortable with several items from our experience in Thai cuisine. We were here based on reviews from https://www.instagram.com/ana.eats.pgh?igsh=MXZzcnk3bGJxaDYyMQ==This woman knows good food, and she knows that this is a gem amongst many in this great city. Can't wait to come back and try more!!

We found this place as always on yelp. Ordered lunch on a Sunday. We got the shrimp drunken noodles, chicken pad thai n beef red curry lnoodle soup. They were all delicious. Generous portions. Not a morsel left. We will be in Southside flats more often and sure to come back.Thank you for a great lunch.

The food was great! The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Note that their spice scale goes from 1-10; I chose a 5 and it was still pretty spicy for me. They do seem to be understaffed, but the service was ok. Great tom kha!

Stopped by here for lunch with a large group and the restaurant was able to accommodate us quickly. Needless to say, the interior was spacious and the decor was lovely with orchid flowers, hanging lights, traditional Asian style art, along more whimsical, modern artwork. For my drink, I got the Thai Iced Coffee yummy and creamy, though a bit overly sweet with less coffee flavor. The menu was quite extensive and I was having a hard time choosing between Dancing Crab and Corn Fried Rice ($26) and Sizzling Seafood ($26). I finally went with the Crab Fried Rice because I've been craving it. This consisted of Jumbo lump Crab, fresh corn, and savory Thai basil sauce. My dish was the last to come out, and it was nicely presented in a round shape on the plate. There was plenty of crab and I could taste that it was true crab. The rice and corn were cooked to perfection, but I would have liked more basil sauce, as I felt like the dish was a bit dry. Service was solid. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. If I get a chance to return, I would like to try the Drunken Noodle or Duck Curry.

The food here was very flavorful. Service was super slow though. Restroom was a hike downstairs and was a bit dirty/old.The restaurant was cute and adorned with Thai elements such as elephants and fresh flowers on the table. The beef salad was wonderful! Beef was tender and the sauce was citrusy and refreshing. The eggplant with chicken was good, but reminded me more of Chinese food. The chicken satay was delicious. Cooked nicely while retaining softness and the dipping sauce was yummy. The curry was just okay and more on the sweet side. The rice came out in the shape of a heart-shaped- so cute.

Pretty big portions, ambience is nice inside, not that many customers so you'll likely get a table walk in but with big groups do reservation so you can get the long one. We came in 12 people and they fit us 6, 6 two diff tables on the spot but was kinda a hassle, understandably. Food was amazing- good pad see ew, really good yellow curry. Spice varies by dish but I'd say the spicy was very delicious- I'd try to go as high as you can. Had a really fun time here.

With so many Thai options in Pittsburgh, it's tough to know which ones are the best and Dancing Crab easily tops the list. I think every Thai restaurant in pgh is good for different things and I think Dancing Crab has the best fried rice in the area. Stopped in w a couple friends and we had such a great time. The family who owns the establishment could not have been kinder and the service is always amazing. Their Thai tea is the best in the city and is, of course, delicious. Every person I've taken here has said that they can't wait to come back. I opted for the pineapple fried rice with tofu, you can choose between a couple different protein options but I wasn't really in the mood to eat meat. My friend got the same fried rice but with chicken and loved it. You will be asked what spice level you'd like your food and ONLY get the higher levels if you truly like spicy food. That might seem pretty self explanatory but I learned my lesson the hard way since the levels are a bit spicier than you think it would be. It's out of a scale of 10 and I opted for a 2.5. As someone who loves spicy food I felt like this was actually like a 4-5 so this was perfect for me. The portions are large so I had enough food for lunch the next day. I thought the rice was perfect and there was enough of each topping in my fried rice. Such a cute spot and I hope they get the busy business they deserve. You won't regret stopping by!

A nice and popular Thai spot in Pittsburgh. The food is definitely high quality and quite flavorful. They have some very cool (but also a tad expensive) specials, but I stuck to ordering what I like. I tried the pad see ew with tofu and the Thai spring rolls. The pad see ew with tofu was pretty good. They give you a good portion for a very reasonable price. It is quite heavy on the noodles (not as much vegetables, tofu, or egg). The noodles were cooked really well and the sauce was delicious, but I do wish they had vegetables other than just broccoli. The spring rolls were pretty good, too. They again give a great portion. However, there's nothing too special about them. A nice, flavorful sauce on the side, and crispy rolls (they weren't stuffed with much though). Decently good. All in all, a very solid Thai spot. I'd perhaps come back to try some of the specials, and the items I had were reasonably good.

The food was good. I ordered Thai fried rice, pad Thai and spring rolls. I got a level 3 spice but probably could have gotten higher. The service was not good though. There was only one person working and they seemed either overwhelmed even though it was not busy.

Stopped by today for dinner and had the best Thai food ever! First off, the owners are so kind! There is also a lot of fresh flowers and plants throughout. After getting seated, I ordered the Thai iced tea and the red curry noodle with chicken (spice level 6). My parented ordered the pad see ew with chicken (spice level 8). We were so impressed with the flavor of everything AND the spice. Sometimes places don't have spice, but this delivered. Don't sleep on Dancing Crab!! We are already thinking about going back.
