Dana's Bakery

These are the best donuts in town! Giant Eagle could never. Dunkin' could never. And dare I say it, Publix could never . The donuts are always fresh, made with real ingredients, and cost effective. I walked out with 18 donuts for $19. And they were a combination of glazed, specialty, and cinnamon rolls. Like, where does that happen? I go early in the morning and I'm never disappointed. You can also grab a fresh cup of hot coffee.

SERVICE: The grandson was working the bakery the day we went. Cool people, good serve, easy to find street parking, and good prices. The facility is old, but I respect them for still existing and hope we all continue to support them. FOOD: Not my first time here, nor will it be my last. Grew up going to this place. My father, Lew always made his way to Dana's to get a box of donuts. During this past trip I ordered a few glazed donuts and the pineapple cake mini. My mother order a half dozen of cookies which did look suspect lol but I didn't eat those so I have no comment. They had cookies, donuts, ice cream, and mini cakes. Enjoyed my donuts and the mini cake was very moist and flavorful. As always, a great experience. WELL: I'll always return.

This is a grandma knows how to make donuts kinda place. Hands down the best donuts Steel City has to offer. It is a small hole in the wall type of place. The coffee is hot, do t expect much more, but you came for the donuts!

It does not make sense how absolutely delicious this bakery is. Truly one of Pittsburgh's hidden gems. The donuts are divine. They are the best in Pittsburgh. Hands-down. Every time I go into the bakery, I am greeted with a smile. Their menu items are always fresh and handcrafted. It's such a small and unassuming a little store, but there are a true culinary treasures inside. Trust me on the donuts!

You gotta get to Homewood for their sweet potato pie! One bite and you're transformed to the South; it's that authentic.The doughnuts are always fresh and airy. I'm a big fan of the cinnamon rolls too.

My husband grew up in Homewood and has raved about Dana's since we've been together, so I decided (years later, which I know greatly regret) to check it out. I found myself wide awake last Thursday at 5:30 AM, so I decided to drive over to Dana's for some donuts and cookies before work. He opens at 6 AM every morning (except Sunday when they are closed). I got there around 6:15 and I was the only person in there. He has so many varieties of donuts to choose from. You have to try a pretzel donut when you go though- it's one of his signatures. I got a half dozen of donuts and a half dozen of cookies for myself and I delivered a half dozen of donuts and a half dozen of cookies for my friend too! So a dozen of donuts and a dozen of cookies for under $13 total! Everything was delicious! Fast forward to last Saturday. I called my mom and raved about Dana's so I met up with her last Saturday at 6:30 AM and we went to Dana's so she could get some donuts. I also got a few more half dozens of donuts to make surprise deliveries to a few friends. Everyone loved their donuts and cookies. Everything I tried was so good! I highly recommend trying out Dana's and supporting a small business. You won't regret it!

Very very affordable. Very very diverse selection. Very very delicious!!! This is a great bakery find. Yes, in a very bad part of town, but worth the trip for the donuts. Got a couple dozen and couldn't have been happier. Great texture, great balance... nice icing. The donuts were really working. A sweet and successful morning

DELICIOUS coconut donuts, cherry turnovers, oatmeal raised cookies, & pineapple upside down cakes. I delivered 3 of the mini cakes to an elderly couple. They called 2 days later thanking me for them. They LOVED them they reported! I tried all the above goodies, and plan to try more of her creations.It's a no frills bakery, with lovely people behind the counter, east parking on the street, and very reasonable prices. Best hidden treasure bakery in Pittsburgh, and I've tried nearly all of them. Go to Dana's. You won't be disappointed.

yesterday after dropping my partner at work, i wanted to treat myself to a donut, so i headed to the nearby dana's bakery. immediately took note of the incredible service and incredible selection of freshly baked treats. i had a large black coffee and two donuts. i am not exaggerating when i say i have never had a better donut in my entire life. i'm gonna probably end up coming here at least once a week because im local but this place is a MUST VISIT if you're in pittsburgh or western PA in general! i also paid 3.50. no excuse, GET YOUR TUCHUS TO DANA'S! :)
