Cuddy's

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for our dinner. Cuddy's Soul Food is located inside of Lawrence Food Hall and if you want more information about that you can check out my review for them. From Cuddy's soul food I ordered a pork soul roll and a steak and cheese soul roll. I started out with the smaller of the two which ended up being the pork roll. It was a bit on the greasy side but the flavor was good. It was very porky and I appreciated the collard greens which cut through the pork and then the sweet potatoes which added a bit of sweetness. Then the steak and cheese roll is what you would expect. Lots of steak and cheese with a hint of peppers which made it a very tasty roll. Then I would I be remiss to not mention the sauce which was sweet and spicy and absolutely delicious. I enjoyed dipping both rolls into it and imagine I would like it on just about anything.The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I thought that both of my rolls here were good, albeit greasy, and I would be interested in trying some of their ribs in the future.

Great food. I have had the chicken wings, mac and cheese, macaroni salad, and cheese fries. Everything was a nice temperature. Cooked well, Nicely seasoned. Taste great! That food is gone. Sorry, forgot to take pics.

The food I get from cuddly's is always amazing! Love the wings, the banana pudding is great, max and cheese is to die for...honestly I don't think I've had anything bad from here! Cuddy's has the kid of food that is comforting and makes a bad day not so bad.

This Owner operated black owner business in Homewood is a gem. Cuddly home makes his sauces and makes them really well and the go great freshly prepared burgers, fried chicken, fish both whiting and cod, ribs as well as really good French fries. He has an item called a tot-Styx which is as it sounds a potato on a stick. Today I had a simple burger and fries served with his special sauce. The special sauce is a vinegar and mustard Carolina style BBQ sauce. I also had a side a Mac and cheese and a side of greens. Prices are good for the portions and quality. It is no looker in terms of curb appeal but it is a clear winner on taste. Never judge a book by its cover. They sell Daily hug's for 35 cent Fago for A Buck and have chips and cigars and other add ins like toothpaste and ambysol. Call ahead. I had to wait 25 min but it was worth it! Important to note Cuddy's won best soul food in Pittsburgh two years running. The sweat Chili sauce goes great on the chicken!

Great service. Really good food - had chicken tenders, mac and cheese and collard greens.

Food and ambiance was perfect for all occasions on the go lunch, dinner and dine in date date night.

Food is delicious, well seasoned, meat was tender, sides were amazing. If your looking for some good soul food Cuddy's is the place. Bring a friend or two.

My friend and I were first time customers and ordered a slab of ribs (Very Meaty) which included two sides. We opted for the Greens n Cabbage, Potato Salad and Hot BBQ Sauce...all were delicious, service was prompt and courteous and the price was very reasonable. Cuddy's definitely has Two New Customers!

Worst bbq I've ever had. Ribs are not seasoned or grilled. Nasty cabbage and macaroni n cheese. Go to the Showcase if you want BBQ.

If I could give this place a billion stars I would. The food is amazing. One try and I'm addicted
