Found this place on Yelp while traveling through the area. We love these family owned restaurants and try to frequent them as often as possible.The staff were super friendly and well trained. Our meals come with a side salad and roll and the food was well prepared and hearty. The dining room is homey, not a lot of frills, paper place mats, plastic cups. But you're there for the food right? There is a row of booth seating along the side of the kitchen on the hallway leading to the restrooms, and the main dining room in front which is wooden tables and chairs. There was a pretty brisk take out business happening during our visit, as well as a decent amount of tables in the dining room. Clearly this is a spot the locals know about and frequent.

Diner style food and environment. The place to stop for a nourishing bowl of homemade soup or chili.Friendly service and very reasonable prices. Probably the best place in the area for quality tasting cakes and other freshly prepared desserts.

Short staffed on this Friday evening but waitresses were hustling. Food came out fast and I was happy with everything I ordered. Also, very fairly priced and their dessert selection looked excellent though I was too full.

I have no idea why this place is only 3 star. Old country style family place, not trying to be anything else.Everything was excellent, from service to homemade food. Stuffed cabbage rolls with mashed potatoes, my partner ate chicken parm. We both had dessert... pumpkin pie & apple pie, do yourself the favor... save room for pie!!I will def come back when in the area again!

Despite the name, this is actually more like a diner than a family restaurant, and that is absolutely okay. I ate here every night during my stay in the area, and I never had a bad meal there.The wait staff is extremely friendly (you seat yourself), its trackside so you can see and hear when a train is passing, and the food is definitely plentiful and affordable. They don't rush you out the door, and make you feel at home when you eat there. Plus, its right across the street from a Sheetz, so convenient! And it is also right up the road from US Route 22, also so convenient! And their hours are fair so you can't miss eating there at all, plus the parking is plenty and easy to get to off of PA Route 53.When I come back to the area, I'd much rather eat my dinner here than anywhere else!

Good breakfast value with a ham, egg + cheese muffin for $2.79, plentiful "real" home fries for $2.29, and OJ for $1.00! Can't say I recommend the coffee though (nasty Maxwell House for $1.79). Dotty's service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Good place to hang out and study or read the paper!

Average food, good prices, cute atmosphere & very laid back. My fiance and I came here almost every Sunday while in college to have a quiet weekend morning breakfast. Cute decor with old pictures and rustic items.Would definitely recommend for a laid back meal. I think breakfast is the best thing here, personally! Served all day - love that!!! Their deserts are also home made!
