Coney Island Restaurant

Went to the Coney last night as it's a local place that consistently serves quality food. Our server (Morgan) was attentive and friendly. The kitchen was slower than normal as the food often comes out fast. The restaurant is inviting as you can sit inside or outside. They have sports playing on the tvs which makes the experience more enjoyable. We got the impossible burger, buffalo wings and sweet potato fries. This is one of few restaurants that actually serve whole wings so you're sure to get your money's worth.

We've been there a few times and also got takeout several times. There are food is always good, they have the shrimp soup on Fridays one of our favorites, very flavorful and very filling. they also have bar service which we like!

Delicious food! You just have to get their wings. The service was super quick and nice even on Valentine's day!Our server was fantastic and it was a joyous dinner date!!!

First time eating here post-covid. Overall not much as changed. (Minus the wing prices... which is understandably out of their control.) They did away with their menus in favor of putting their menus on the placemats. Pro tip: the placemat is double sided! I ordered the Shepard's pie, which honestly wasn't as good as I remember. It had a ton of cheese and potatoes. I can't say it exactly looked appealing. It lacked broth on the bottom and veggies were scarce. Overall, it wasn't bad, but I've had it better. My sister tagged along with me during this visit and she ordered the Coney Italian sub with fries. Her sub was good. Fries were ok. I think it's debatable whether or not they were worth an added 3.79, but it is what it is.Service was as it always has been - spotty at best.

We personally have loved it here! Have been twice so far, I just started college at IUP and this is a go to spot for my family, friends and I when they come up.

Was my favorite place to go since going to school at IUP in the 90's. The service is bad. Have been there several times a year for many years. The staff is more interested in getting you out the door than serving you food and beverage. They are not welcoming. Wing prices have gone through the roof. Draft beer is always skunked - for years. Tastes like vinegar. Very disappointed because I used to take friends there but it is not what it used to be.

It's bar food. There's nothing else to say honestly. Just kind of mid but okay for the price. They have good fish and chips!

Worst experience I've ever had, place is dirty, food is terrible, servers denied my friend on his 21st saying his ID was fake, very rude and unprofessional, will not be getting my business ever again. If you want to go to a real restaurant go to H.B. Culpeppers across the street.

We recently had a anniversary party upstairs at the Coney. Everything was FANTASTIC. Everyone loved the food and the service was great. We had a DJ and lots of space for dancing. Great help from Tim. Jamey, De De, and all the Coney staff. Everyone had a great time. If you are looking for a place for a party, we recommend the Coney. Thank you Coney...it was a fun!!Jerry & Susie

We were a party of four and were made to wait an excessive amount of time to be seated when the establishment was empty. We're very disappointed being long time alumni of IUP.
