Colangelo's Bakery

A small bakery with lots of amazing options. For me on this visit, I was looking for something sweet. I immediately zeroed in on a raspberry pastry that looked like a stuffed sfogliatella. I had to have one.Once comfortably seated outside, I took a bite and ... it was heaven. The sweetness of the raspberry in combination with the soft crunchiness of the pastry shell. Magnifico! I can't wait to come back and try some of the other items.

Best food in Pittsburgh hands down. This pizza is the most beautiful pizza you will ever eat. It's a strip district staple- I never go without getting a slice or 2, but today I ordered a whole thin crust pepperoni pie, greens and beans, and a chicken salad. I can't say enough about how the flavors in each dish just made my day. Can't wait to go back, and from now on this will be the only pizza I eat!

This has been one of the best pizza spots for as long as I can remember and it makes me so happy to see it trending now! I'm personally more of a pasta person over pizza but when it comes to Colangelo's, I might have to change my mind on that statement. Easily my favorite pizza in the city.

Pillowy pizza and delicious mele's. Walked by on a whim and gave it a try ... such a good decision. Service was quick and the staff friendly. Dream about this pizza daily.

One of my absolute must stops in the city. I never leave without pizza AND the pesto. Never misses. Love to support small and this place has been around forever for good reason!

I LOVE COLANGELOS - when I worked in the strip, me and my coworkers would walk here all the time for a pick-me-up, and it never failed. If you want to find the best lady locks in all of PA, go to Colangelos. They also have amazing soups, pizza, and pizza roles. Anyone who's ever in the strip: this is a great place to go to pick up some food for home or eat it outside at their cute tables!

I love to go this this bakery every time I am in the Strip District! They have the best flaky pastries and the prices are great!

Stopped here on a Saturday late morning while in the area trying different pizzas in the strip district. If you want anything from the bakery, getting here first thing is the best bet- as their cases were nearly empty. We ordered a couple of slices which they didn't give the option to heat up though while eating heard a different person as another customer if they did. Don't know. Not bad, just good.

It's hard to find good a good cannoli and Colangelos has them. The orange pistachio ones are particularly good, as are their other pastries. Service was super friendly and this definitely seems like a place that's been around forever and is popular with locals.

Cannolis and service were excellent! Just the right amount of sweet. Nice old school vibe.
