When I read the review about the terrible service, I did not expect it to be THAT terrible but boy was I wrong. If you are looking to get water prior to your meal, don't bother eating here. I was staying at Hidden Valley for the weekend for a wedding and we decided to do dinner here while the wedding party was having their rehearsal. Let me mention it was no very busy in the restaurant. Waitress took about 10 minutes before she acknowledged us at the table then another 10 minutes before she came over to ask what we wanted to drink. At that point, we'd been waiting 20 minutes and still didn't have water so we were ready to order everything. I got the fish sandwich and asked for extra tarter. She insured me it was a large cup of tarter so I said ok don't worry about it. My husband got the Reuben and we each got a drink. Waitress brought over empty water glasses but did not fill them until seconds before she brought the food. Then, of course, when we got our food I had no tarter sauce and we also didn't have ketchup for the fries. My husband was just about finished with his meal but the time she came over to see if we need anything. By then, my food started getting cold and our beverages were empty. Finally, got my condiments and refills. The food itself was actually pretty good but on the pricy side for sandwiches. When it came time to pay, we were told at check-in that we could charge things to our room so that's what I wanted to do. She seemed so puzzled when I tried to do this. Complained about having to type in a long number? Whatever, I went about my night and just thought no way could it be this bad for everyone. Mistaken, we went back for lunch the next day with a group of 4. Our experience was almost identical. SMH. No way will I be back. Drive 20 minutes and pick up foxes pizza or subway, you're better off.

I waited for about 10 minutes at the "please wait ti be seated" sign to be seated. Two open tables inside. Made eye contact with the waitress multiple times and was ignored. Two groups walked right in and took the two tables. Ended up just leaving since there were no longer any open tables and the staff continued to ignore us.

Not impressed. My husband and I came here to kill time while our kids enjoyed the winter fun outside. We were seated and greeted quickly. My husband ordered coffee and I ordered the adult coffee. The drinks took awhile, especially the one from the bar. Looking over the menu everything was quite pricey. I was expecting a fancy coffee drink and it came in the same mug as my husbands regular coffee. It didn't even have the whipped cream the menu said it would. I said something to the waitress. She said she was bringing me another one. Instead she brought me a dish of whipped cream. Unfortunately, it took so long I was already finished drinking it. I figured somebody just messed up and would get it right the next time, so since I wasn't satisfied I ordered another. I thought for sure it would come out better the next time. Well, it had whipped cream but was in a paper cup. Wow! $12 in a to-go container. Were they trying to get rid of me? At this point we were afraid to order too much since they couldn't even get the drinks right, no way am I opting for the $16 burger. We were hungry so we both ordered a bowl of chili. Good flavor. However, it was in one of those small brown crocks that French onion soup typically comes in for $8. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the server only charged me for one of the adult coffees. There's not many options around. If somebody opened up a small private lodge nearby and did things right, they'd make a killing. If I ever come back here it will be because there's not another option.

So I wasn't expecting much given the reviews, but we stopped in before going tubing and the service was prompt and attentive. The menu looked good and my salad was fresh and delicious. The kids loved their hotdogs and the turkey club was great. Definitely not the experience others wrote about!

I ate here for brunch this past weekend with my girlfriend and 2 other dining companions. The views from the dining room were nice although I imagine much better in the winter than the summer. The brunch buffet consisted of many different hot items, salad bar, waffle bar and kids station. I started off at the salad bar and had a nice salad with great crotons and a good balsamic vinegarette. There also was a tasty soup which consisted of pasta, white beans and chunks of pepperoni in a tomato base. Unfortunately Those two items proved to be my favorite part of the meal as my crab legs were dry and fishy while the stuffed shells and potatoes were underwhelming. The bottom line for me is that I would probably not eat here in the future. The food wasn't that great and neither was the price.

Has higher-end plates for higher prices (tuna steak, fish, sirloin, for $10-$25) and a selection of good sandwiches. Attempts to be upscale, but its hard when the table next to you is dining in snow pants and ski boots. Boyfriend complained about his risotto, which he said had the consistency of oatmeal, and the waitress Brittany brought him out a free plate of french fries. She was spectacular and very polite with our table, that wanted the check split six ways according to coupons, and made a lot of noise. I was appalled to see them leave maybe a 4% tip and tried to cover it with my tip, but I think we were still short of 15% which was AWFUL - Brittany, I am so sorry.

The Clock Tower Restaurant will always be a special place for me and my wife because that's the place where we met back in 1988 when the place was first built. My wife was a bus girl, and I was bartending there in the in the lounge as you walked in. The place was beautiful with its wooden floors, beautiful ceiling fans, and all of the windows surrounding the place that allowed its guests to overlook the slopes. The food served then was always incredible, especially the Outrageous Nachos! This dish would totally fill you up by yourself, so it was best to eat it with friends. My wife and I just flirted with each other back then, as was only 16, and I was 20. She only worked for that ski season, and I continued to work all year long. Our paths didn't cross again until 2001 when I was again bartending at Hidden Valley, and she was working at a fast food restaurant as a manager, and she remembered me. We were both divorced and now single. We exchanged phone numbers and have been together ever since. We got married in 2006 and had a son in 2009. This is all because of the Clock Tower Restaurant!

The food is awful. The Nuttings are the worst owners of community assets. Everything they touch goes down a path of poor food quality, limited open hours, and bad service.

The Clock Tower restaurant does not even deserve one star but I had to give a rating to write a review. When we arrived, we were the only table in the entire restaurant including the bar. We had a brand new waitress who you could tell was not trained at all. In her defense, management clearly did not take the time to train her as she had no idea about anything. Our drinks took entirely too long...remember the restaurant was empty. The drinks were also not full pours and if we insisted on a full pour, we were charged double for it.Very poor service in general and no atmosphere whatsoever. No effort was made to make the place inviting for the holidays including no decorations.Everything was expensive and over priced for the quality and experience. Do not go there.

If you are at Hidden Valley and....Want to feed your kids or grab a bite between runs go to the cafeteria/ food court.Want to drink and maybe eat something...go to glaciers pub.Want to sit down, relax and be waited on...eat at The Clock tower. The food is good, not great but it's fine. Prices are reasonable considering you are in a resort. Great view too. If you are just in the area looking for good food you can do better outside the report
