Cicero's Bar and Grill

This local place is always busy and seeing the menu and having the food I understand why! They run nightly specials in addition to a ton of options on the regular menu. I ordered up chicken salads pasta fish among other items for a crowd and it was affordable with generous portions. You never know who you may talk to sitting at the bar either! Everybody is related to somebody or knows somebody you know.

The food- is horrid. I ordered lobster bisque (was on the special board) Horrid. Was a sweet white curdled mess. Ordered the Rueben - horrid. Rubber meat? Never had that before??? Ordered wedding soup - just reg old can soup. Ordered the Godfather - not bad - not good. The best part was that they had Pepsi in a can, good service, and the chips were good. Can't give more than two stars.... Such bad food. Would never go here again. MSNBC on four of their eight screens and news on two of the others. lol. Not a sports bar - but more so a really bad news bar -

Good service, good food, great experience! So happy we stopped in!We started with the too many appetizers because the selection was huge! Smothered fries: they had a crispy breading that kept it's crunch even after the gravy and cheese sat for a bit. Loved!Stuffed banana peppers: I would come back just to have this as my main entree. It's spicy so be ready!Fried pickles: they are pickle spears, but too much breading, our favorite!They have a kids menu with was classic. Grilled cheese, chix tenders, mac n cheese bites. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the Uncle Charleys sausage sandwich. We were stuffed!

First of all, I was expecting something good. However, the food is mediocre and overpriced. For example, the sauces for pasta and for wings are all jarred and bottled products; not homemade. It's basically nothing you couldn't grab at the store and heat up for yourself (aside from the stuffed banana peppers, which are homemade!). The only difference is that they triple the price to heat it up. Waitstaff is iffy during the day. They seem less than thrilled to be there.

I ordered an appetizer and a pasta dish for lunch. They do not serve pasta till 4 PM. And I am glad for that because the appetizer left a lot to be desired. The presentation was poor I don't know exactly What they were going for but they missed the mark. Hopefully dinner taste better for everyone.

Had the Godfather sandwich (like an Italian + roasted peppers ) & homemade potato chips, very good. Seating in dining room not very comfortable. Bar stools may be a better choice. Service was good.

The food is good, the service is good, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. A very enjoyable place to go for lunch or dinner.

We enjoyed great Liver & Onions there tonight. Very tender & generous portion. Very good!

This place might be ok if you can get waited on. Went in, nobody around. Everyone outside smoking, mind you this is lunch time. These employees saw me walking in. 15 minutes to get acknowledged, another10 just to get a soft drink another 10 to take my order. When my salad came it looked 3days old if not older. So pissed by then I had to leave. Good luck with this one. Haven't been back.

They have good whole wings but other than that the food isn't great, its a slight upgrade from going to a Kings restaurant up the street tho.
