Every thing. Food & service were top notch. I'd give 5 stars, but the ambiance isn't there. For us, it's perfect. I'm there for the food, that matters most to me. If I want to spend $150 or $200 I'll go to a fancy restaurant. On second thought, that's why we go to Ciccanti's. Food service & price. Gives it 4 stars in my opinion.

We came in for an early dinner with a party of 10. My in-laws have been coming here for many years. We did make a reservation. We were quickly seated and greeted. Our server was the daughter in law of the owner. She was delightful. But all of the employees worked together to ensure that all the guests were well taken care of. Our orders were quickly taken and we began our journey into a food coma. My mother in law ordered two orders of the fried zucchini. It was thinly sliced and crisp. It was served with marinara. If you are debating it, skip the appetizer. They were delicious but your meal will be so filling you won't need it. My husband and I both had chicken Marsala. You had your choice of minestrone soup or some type of clam soup. We all got the minestrone. It was full of veggies and great flavor. Very good. They also brought big baskets of garlic and regular thickly sliced fresh bread. That was followed by a large salad. So much food. I was full before my entree ever came out. The chicken Marsala came in a brown mushroom gravy. You could get it with pasta, fries or spinach. I got the spinach. The chicken was tender and the spinach was full of flavor. There is lots of garlic in the sauces. Did I say yet that there was so much food? All ten of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was beyond great. The food was great. I would definitely come back. We had a wonderful evening.

To start the service was amazing and that definitely helps make a meal better. I ordered the veal parm but only because they don't have chicken parm. It came with a salad which was a nice portion but head lettuce if that isn't your thing. It also came with soup which I had the red clam chowder and it was good. The veal was a very adequate portion and delicious alongside a nice portion of pasta. The sauce was a tad *off* bland I'd say as I prefer my marinara on perhaps a tomato or sweet side. All in all this was a very nice *First time* visit. Yum

I am an Italian cuisine snob. My daughter and I really enjoyed our meal here. This was my second time here. The first time I had the prosciutto sandwich and loved how stacked it was.We loved the escargot appetizer. My lasagna special was fantastic and filling. I have a new local Italian restaurant favorite.

Very good food. Personable staff... order taken and courses brought out in perfect time. Dimly lit. Very nice atmosphere... they have a bar. Road by this place for 43 years and never stopped. I'm glad I did this time! The wife and I will most certainly be back.

This place doesn't look like much but STOP INDining room is dated but it felt super warm. The waitress was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu but the best part was when the actual chef came over to the table and told us what his favorite menu item of the evening was.The veal is a d*** revelation. i had the steak with crab and it was excellenThis is one of those old school Italian joints. Where your dinner comes with a salad and a postal course and the ministrone soup is no joke there are so many vegetables. The food was absolutely delicious and high quality. You don't know what hidden gem you have on 51. I love this place so much. I had my birthday dinner here. stop in and eat. I know you have always wondered how the food is. And I am here to tell you it is freaking fabulous

My husband and I wanted to eat here for a while. I called ahead as I have a mollusk allergy and they have a heavy mollusk presence on their menu, and they assured me the prep area has allergen quarantining protocol. We started with the mozzarella sticks which weren't uniform which did tell me it's not frozen store bought bullshit, but they could have been cooked a little better. The breading completely fell off just by picking them up and they were pretty greasy. The marinara sauce was very good however. I got the portabella stuffed ravioli with marinara on special. Again, not uniform in size, so indicative that it actually is handmade. The portion was good, but I wasn't heavy at all. Ingredients seemed very fresh. The house Cabernet was a nice pairing, and got a decanter. My husband got lobster ravioli with a creamy marinara. He said the sauce overpowered the taste of the lobster, but the portion was again good, and the food wasn't heavy. We finished with the tiramisu, which was almost over moist, but I'm sure that was just an indication of homemade rather than frozen/refrigerated premade dessert. Would've probably been good with a cup of espresso, but I didn't need anymore caffeine that day. Good spot for food. Not very lively. My husband and I are in our mid 30s and we were the youngest people there. And the hours are pretty short. Looks like a typical family owned Italian restaurant on the inside.

Veal Scalopini a la Marsala had very thick sauce that was more like a gravy. It seemed to be a mushroom gravy and no marmalade. Husband loved a special that had shrimp and scallops. Tiramisu had a cake-type base layer that was mushy. Felt like it was refrigerated for too long.Prices are reasonable for the large portions and sides.

My wife and I always drove by the place commenting how busy it always seems to be, so last night we decided to stop in & try it. We were immediately seated and it began a night of superior service. Waitress was fantastic in explaining the special, in which I chose a tilapia stuffed with crabmeat, and when they say 'stuffed' they really mean it. I've never experienced so much crabmeat at one sitting and it was cooked to perfection. No need for a knife, cut it with a fork and it melts in your mouth. My wife had the stuffed chicken marsala, and again, the food taste was one of the best. Both dishes came with BOTH salad & soup as well as your choice of pasta or vegetable, so quantity and quality of food for the cost is out of this world. Even the teens bussing the tables were courteous & prompt in clearing any unnecessary items off our table. Combination of quality, quantity and service makes this restaurant well worth the extra 2 minutes it takes to pass all the chain restaurants just up the road.
