Cibrone M & Sons Bakery

Super cute place with very friendly staff. They aren't open on Monday's and have a hoagie special everyday but Sunday (see pic). It's a bakery and small grocery in one. All of the available bread the day I visited was pre sliced. Pasta was a good price for shapes you can't find anywhere. There is also a deli section. The only confusion was the sandwiches, it's not clear what and when you can order what. After asking you can always get a cold sub but I didn't see a menu or prices. They also have pre made Italian hoagies in the cooler. I'll def stop back when I'm on that side of town.

A perfect little family run Italian bakery with everything you would want but not so big that quality suffers in any way. From the heavenly Sfogliatelle (that Oakmont can only dream of producing these days) and other bakery items to the fantastic pizza and excellent deli - you won't leave disappointed. The staff is genuinely friendly and always helpful - just a real pleasure to visit.

This is such a gem! I stopped by to grab some treats around lunch time on a Friday, and it wasn't too crowded. The staff helped me narrow down my choices and was super helpful. I got a bunch of stuff and two loaves of bread for $17! My favorite was their chocolate bomb. It's so moist and creamy. Their baklava was good too, very buttery. I also liked their coconut walnut cookie. Didn't think I would like coconut cookies, but that coconut walnut combination worked so well together! There's plenty of parking in their lot. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

YUMMMMMMM. Such a great place to pick up delicious bakery items (& other things). We chose a chocolate doughnut, pineapple upside down cake, baklava, chocolate covered cream puff, banana bread, and limoncello tart. Everything was amazing. I always love a giant cream puff - the chocolate icing on top of this one was really good. There are chocolate-less cream puffs too. The banana bread and limoncello tart really surprised me with HOW good they are. The banana bread is super dense and moist with a thick cream layer in the middle. The limoncello tart is such a good lemon flavor with tons of lemon curd filling topped with thick whipped cream.

My 'go to' place for a cold Italian hoagie. The hoagie roll is sooo fresh. The lunch meat and cheese are plentiful, fresh and tasty.Five bucks, I'm in and out. We'll, I would be, but I'll just grab a fresh loaf of Italian bread, and an assortment of their delicious baked goods for my lovely bride, a fresh pie for dessert and I'll just check to see what they're soup of the day is.THEN, I'm out of there. And I need a little more than five bucks. But it is so worth it.

I always forget about this little shop as I drive past on Grove Road, on the way to or from somewhere else. A friend swears by them and this time I actually turned around after passing to go back and stop in around lunchtime. They get busy! Many of the Italian groceries you might want, from pantry staples to fresh mozzarella and Parmesan; it's not Penn Mac, but think of a similar concept on a much smaller scale. Also a full deli case; they sliced two cheeses for me thinly, with paper in between. So nice! I also got a fresh-sliced loaf of homestyle bread -- all the breads looked amazing! -- a big pizza boat to heat and split for lunch, a loaf of frozen garlic bread and, because you can't walk away from that bakery case empty handed, a chocolate cake roll. Everything has been DELISH so far. There are cases of frozen pastas to boil or just heat up at home, and fresh lunch specials like a sub and soup that were attracting a bit of a crowd at I was leaving (this is a place where there are clearly regulars who stop in often and know one another and the staff). I will be making a point to stop in here more often, and next time I am definitely trying a piece of tiramisu from that bakery case because I've been regretting passing it by since I was in the checkout process.

This is a very nice Italian bakery, deli and small grocery store. They have a daily sandwich special and I got the meatball hoagie that they offered for $7. It was a big sandwich with tasty meatballs and shredded cheese. I checked out some of the other items and their bread and cookies look really good. They have fresh loaves of Italian bread for $1.50. Prices are pretty good on the baked items. There is also some pizzas ready to bake--there looked good and the price wasn't bad. Many of the grocery items could also be found in supermarkets at a lower price so I wouldn't come strictly for those items. Service was very friendly and efficient.

Cibrone M and Sons is more than a bakery. It is an Italian grocery store where you can buy dry goods, Italian breads 2 for $3.00 daily, and refrigerated items including dairy and cold drinks. Want to make a pizza? They have premade crusts here.The deli section has a good selection of fresh meats, side dishes, and they do offer daily lunch specials. If you want to eat it then you need to take it home or eat in your car. They had a nice selection of baked goods as well. I was intrigued with a cookie they called pumpkin cranberry, with white chocolate chips in it. These cookies sell for $6.00 dozen but I opted for one just to top of my lunch. I loved how they decorated the sugar cookies for Halloween.Took my cookie which was unusually different but still very good. Cibrone is located on Grove Rd across from Bob's diner. Getting out on the road can pose a bit of a problem with traffic coming down the hill from Caste Village. Nevertheless I was glad for the opportunity to stumble on this place and am looking forward to trying some of their other pastries.I did not get a chance to price the groceries since there was nothing that interested me but they do have a great selection of Italian foods for whatever you want to make.

I grew up in New Jersey, but I lived in the south for over twenty years, and one thing I grew to deeply miss was a real Italian deli. Jersey Mike's and Wawa just didn't cut it because neither of them could get the bread right. When I moved to Pittsburgh, I found delis more faithful to my memories, but not quite. My husband and I saw Cibrone's while we were having breakfast at Bob's Diner across the street, and I made a mental note to pay a visit.So I did, on a day it was running a sausage sandwich special. Hot sausage sandwiches are one of my favorites, and the first bite almost made me cry because the bread was right, the sausage was right, EVERYTHING was right. In addition to its fantastic sandwiches, it sells some of the best Italian bread I've ever eaten. The cost? $3.30--for two big pre-sliced loaves. Everything I've tried, from brownies to pepperoni rolls, has been nothing less than amazing. Best yet, it's not far from my house and the prices are excellent. If you're anywhere in the South Hills, you owe it to yourself to come to Cibrone's. It is, as the kids say, dope and legit.

Always have fresh baked goods & always delicious. All the clerks are polite and friendly ! The store clean and well stocked with Italian food and ingredients. I absolutely love the store, never disappointed
