If you like the idea of a brewery in an old church.... This place is for you!The church part makes it a really cool spot. Lighting is a little dark for meNot a beer guy so can't opine on that but the best fall off the bone bbq American ribs in Pittsburgh by far. Solid friesService was ok but nothing specialNice little gift shop as well if you want some beer glasses or more.

Short review as we only experienced Church Brew Works for one beer, but we had a great time! We stopped in on a Saturday night around 6:30 ish. It's a big restaurant/brewery and it was packed! I heard the host citing a wait of 45 min to an hour. We were just there for a drink so we were able to snag one seat at the bar.We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the beer was tasty. My husband got a mango beer and I got the Mexicali beer.

Amazing space! The stained glass windows are rad!! Good service, okay food. Wasn't overly impressed. My guy said the beer was good. I had a Paloma that was totally underwhelming. There is some parking right outside.

This setting is superb. What a beautiful church. There are brewing cylinders on one side and magnificent stained glass windows. The place is clean and the service was really friendly. We had a great guy coming to check on us at regular intervals, checking to see if allwas okay, and refilling our water. The food was okay. I had the Philly steak sandwich. The meat was not very tender, and the taste was somewhat old. It might've been the fact that had been used. I did not really enjoy my meal too much, however, everyone else in my team seem to enjoy their food. Overall, it is a fun place to go with a great setting

This brewery was fantastic! I'm so glad we made it a stop on our trip to Pittsburgh. We each tried a different beer, and each were delicious. I also had my first-ever pierogi here, and it was delicious! Our waiter, whose name I wish I could remember, was incredibly friendly and helpful with our orders. He gave great recommendations and was genuinely kind and upbeat- a true sign of excellent customer service. Now talk about location! This totally looks like a converted church. So cool! Lots of space inside and even has a bar area to sit, or you can get seated at a table. I definitely want to come back if I'm ever in Pittsburgh again.

This is such a unique place. An old church converted into a restaurant and brewery. They sold mini kegs of beer too which was really cool. I am guessing they held about 8 beers. It was close to October so I got the most German inspired dish because they were setting up for Octoberfest. I started out with cauliflower with a beer mustard. Very unique and really good. After that I went with brat Mac and cheese. Creamy with pieces of onion and bacon. Great dish.

Great service and ambiance. Lots of open seating. The beer was good and affordable. We found the food was really good as well and filling. The pierogi appetizer and elote dip were my favorites.

Cool space...definitely something different. A church converted into a brewery is very unique...to say the least. They even kept the stain-glass windows!Lots of space inside...tables and bar seating. It was very empty around 5pm on a Sunday. The staff said they usually get much busier when the local teams are playing.Great selection of beer and some interesting food options. I was only there briefly for a beer ($7ish) and some meatballs ($13ish) but they were both good. The hostess and the bartender were very nice.I would love to return to try some other things. Prices were reasonable. I believe there are also some happy hours specials so you may want to check those out.Lots of street parking on the main road in front.

One star for the ambiance and the uniqueness of this place. The beer is absolutely awful. I got a flight and not a single beer was good. I can typically power through beers im not a big fan of but not here. This spot was recommended to me so we stopped. It's a super cool concept but a shame the beer is so bad. We didn't have any food but the folks next to us said theirs wasn't good. There's a lot of potential for this place. I'd suggest getting a cocktail if you venture here.

This place is so cool! The food is absolutely delicious as I had the traditional Pittsburgh salad and the beer is tasty. My kids even had a blast and the atmosphere can't be beat.
