This place is so great and it never gets oldDon't forget there's a water room at the very top so bring a change of socks for the kiddos, just in case. They have new exhibits seasonally and we've been to two children's birthday parties here and the kids had a blast. I love the Mr Roger's puppets and Dark Crystal Puppet on showcase in a fun interactive room for kids.

This place is absolutely incredible for children and adults!!! If you love mister Rogers then you will definitely like this . It has little touches of him and the original puppets. My kids spent hours here. This is the best thing in Pittsburgh for kids

I've been here countless of times as a child, but more recently, and more reflective of my review, I've been here with my kids; once very recently and once more during the COVID era (not sure when exact but we are wearing masks in our pictures). The COVID era rotating exhibit was Inside Out (which I also saw in DC and is awesome); the current one was about making things. My daughter loved playing construction worker. The water play floor is super fun too. Highly recommend bringing a change of clothes. We got to experience some of the outside play this time with it being summer. Also loved the art materials available on the first floor. Parking is available but the lot can fill up. Street parking is available.

I was a member and frequent visitor for many years. It was a marvelous place for my son to encounter new developmental challenges and socialize with others. The staff here are well trained and enthusiastic and always seem to enjoy their work. The exhibits are carefully maintained and new materials are introduced.More recently, I have attended several events here, and I find the Museum makes a fun venue for adults.

If you're ever in the beautiful city if Pittsburgh make sure you take your little ones to see the Children's Museum! There are 3 floors to explore and all of them are exciting and so colorful! The first floor has a huge climbing area that goes all the way up the 3rd floor and all the kids race up it. The 1st floor is so vibrantly colorful that it's my favorite place. The Cafe is also fairly priced and has great food. Not to mention ALL of August it's free to go! Also on the first floor you can explore all the sensory areas and even paint . There are so many activities that the kids can do it's insane. Also on the first floor you can see some of the late great #andyworhol masterpieces and sense who he was as an artist. On the 3rd floor is where all the water activities are which is perfect place to have fun on a hot9 summer day the water activities are safe for all ages and is super fun for all the kiddos. Make sure you check this place out if you ever bring the kids to Pittsburgh!

A great place to take the kids to on a cold and rainy Sunday when you can't get outside. So many activities for young children. Climbing, sensory activities, slides, games, art and a floor with just water activities so take the suits! My grandkids loved it, and loved watching them there.

Stopped in today with my 5 yr old and he really enjoyed it. We stayed away from the water level on top but went through everything else. A great place to bring the kids for a few hours in Pittsburgh.

Perhaps one of the best Children's museum we've been to. So much to do, with plenty of variety for all ages. The water-play floor was a big hit (consider bringing a change of clothing, or a swimsuit). The toddler area had plenty to do for little ones. It includes admission to the MuseumLab next door. It may be advertised for older children, but our small ones still enjoyed it a lot. It's a neat historic building as well. Highly recommend stopping over for a bit after the Children's Museum. We will be back again someday.

We had so much fun at the museum. Visiting from out of state and the weather was going to be in the 40s so we needed somewhere indoors to play. All 3 of us had an absolute blast in all the areas.
