Fancy cheese novices. A very patient employee educated and allowed us to taste the cheeses. We ended up with six very different cheeses, hardy crackers, lemon cookies, apricot butter, & honey. We split the goodies. I have hard rolls from La Gourmadine (Lawrenceville) that didn't know they were a perfect pairing for apricot butter.With lead time, they will build your charcuterie board for you. Popped in for lunch for one of their grilled cheeses and the woman working was so kind, she was telling me about their offered classes and events while preparing mine and friends' sandwiches. They have a wide selection of various jams and cheeses, obviously. I definitely will be going back for more!

Went to a French cheese tasting in November and absolutely loved it!!! The host is incredible and incredibly informative about the cheeses and region they come from. The set up and ambiance was awesome--very intimate setting and about a 2 hour event. Highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this cheese shop while in the neighborhood waiting out our time to be seated at Apteka down the street. The lady inside was super sweet and let us try a million samples. They have clearly marked vegetarian cheeses and even had some vegan ones to taste! We took small nubs of a cheddar and rosemary goat cheese - so yum and different from what we've had recently! We grabbed a pack of crackers and nibbled on the cheese as a small precursor prior to our meal and it was bliss! We would've hung out longer if it wasn't closing shortly after we had arrived but happy we were able to have the experience. Definitely worth checking out!

Wow wow wow! I am extremely impressed with Chantal's Cheese Shop. I have driven past this shop a countless number of times and never knew it was here. Before even stepping foot into the shop, my family headed upstairs for a cheese tasting class. The whole vibe of the tasting room was so welcoming. Anaïs, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable. Her sense of humor made this experience that much better. She paired each cheese with a different butter/jam or chocolate, and surprisingly enough, it made the cheese taste even better which I did not think was possible. She was able to answer any questions we had, and was always polite with her response. When the class was over, we headed down to the shop where we received 10% off for being at the tasting. This shop is amazing because there is not only cheese to buy, there is an array of chocolate, sauces, jellys/jams/butters, pastas, and so much more. My favorite part was the "Tiny Bits Bin" located in the fridge. This bin hold small pre-cut pieces of cheese you can purchase. It honestly is a genius idea. This shop also has lunch options, which I NEED to try one day. This was such a fantastic experience, and I can not wait to bring my friends to a class and the shop in the future. Everything about this experience was phenomenal and I would recommend it to anyone!

I've been eyeing this place for about 2 years. Whenever I drove by I kept telling myself I needed to check it out. I'm glad I finally got to check it out. Anais, the owner gave us a private class the other day. I thought i loved cheese, but Anais, who is French, is on another level of passion. It makes sense that she would be a cheese connoisseur, or should i say fromage? The passion and excitement in her presentation were palpable and very much welcomed. We got to try 5 different types of cheese: chèvre, brie formier, Jerseyhoeve, Cabot Clotbound Cheddar, and Cashel Blue, which were all paired with different jams, figs, and mustards. Afterwards, we got to check out the cheese shop.

It's been 5 wonderful years for Chantal's Cheese Shop. They have thrived because they offer personalized customer service and high quality cheeses.They offer a great selection of fine cheeses as well as charcuterie and cheese boards.You can even rent a raclette grill.

Abosolutely the best cheese shop in Pittsburgh, my go-to place for cheese! You can find all variety of cheese, spreads and jams, crackers and chocolates, and salamis from all over the world. Anything you need for a charcuterie board can be found at this place. Everyone is patient and knowledgeable, when I have a ton of questions, they answer with patience and will give recommendation on what I I would like to try or I am looking for.It's the holiday season, absolutely the best time to get some tasty and fancy cheeses and snacks from them, you won't regret! Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things about Chantal's! They have an amazing variety of cheeses, including local and international cheeses and meats. They bake baguettes fresh daily, and have various accompaniments such as jams, pickled veggies, etc. A true one stop shop for a charcuterie board. The workers were SO nice, offering suggestions and tastings. Everything we tried was delicious. I will be returning anytime I am looking for gourmet cheeses or when looking for some appetizers.
