Cedars

A true hole in the wall bar. But the food was excellent. Called in a to go order. Had to call 3 times to get through. Staff was very pleasant. Reasonable 30 minute wait. Easy location to get to. There is good parking available. Building is in serious need of a power wash and some paint. Entry in was rather dingy with some sketchy stairs. There was a side entrance with a ramp. Bar is small inside with maybe 10 stools. Looked like maybe a few tables around the corner but I didn't venture over there. Inside definitely had an old bar perfume going for it. Had a wait before the single bartender arrived from the kitchen area. She was very sweet and had her hands full with pick up orders and new arrivals to the bar. She could have used some help. Made sure to tip her well. Based on that so far, rating would be about a 2. Food seriously elevated the review. Lamb salad was massive. Good quantity of iceberg without being all lettuce. Had the usual salad toppings plus melted cheese, hand cut fries and lamb. Asked for medium rare lamb and they delivered perfectly. Nice, big juicy chunks of lamb on the rod. The hand cut fries were still a bit crispy (25 minute drive home) but pillowy inside. Overall, excellent salad. Price was fabulous for the amount and quantity of food. With a generous tip, still less than my usual spot closer to me. Way more food and better at Cedar's, too. Shout out to my friend for recommending this place. Not somewhere I would have normally gone to without the rec. Will be back! But take out only because it's pretty dingy.

I was referred by a local priest. Coming from a funeral, I was way over dressed. It is a very casual establishment. The restaurant/bar is located in the middle of a neighborhood. Street and lot parking are available. The reuben was good. The jalapeño poppers were really hot. The stuffed grape leaves were very good. I am accustomed to short sqaut stuffed grape leaves. The long skinny version was full of flavor.Unfortunately, the fries didn't travel well. While waiting for my to go order, I observed many people enjoying the fries. The restaurant prefers cash over credit cards.

Cedars is a great spot for a beer and dinner or lunch. Have eaten here a few times with Linda, and we both love it. The service is great, ate in the dining room this time. Just so we could relax. I got the lamb and chicken dinner over rice. Linda got the Lamb Dish which has cheese melted into it. You can't go wrong with anything at Cedars, but we generally get the lamb because it's so good. You can eat at the bar too if you want. And they have a #### ton of draft beers, at a nice reasonable price. Never had anything but good service and delicious food every time we've been here. Highly recommend.

Good bar food...very filling for a decent price. We were in area when traveling to see family and decided to stop for dinner. Note to newcomers, walk in from the parking lot onto ramp. Atmosphere is very local bar...everything was quite clean. The special for the night were wings, and there are specials every night. We had the chopped sirloin sandwich and the angus burger. Both were very satisfying and came with a heap of French fries ( not crispy but tasty) servers hustled, lots of laughter and conversation in this local establishment.#

I've eaten here a few times today we got wings and their chicken over rice very delicious, asked for extra crispy wings and got them exactly how I wanted , staff is very nice they have great specials every day ! And pretty great prices and food in general

Cedars is always a solid choice. Almost everything on the menu is good. I've been here so many times and had pretty much everything. All I can say is it's a good place to go and meet with friends, grab a drink and get a bite to eat. Or even just get dinner or lunch with your significant other. I normally get the cedars special (double cheese burger on Syrian bread) or the Reuben. Their wings are very good. Also you can't go wrong with lamb or chicken on the rod with the garlic and pepper sauce. Like a said I could go on and on, you just gotta go there.

Everything we got was very good. The chicken and greens sandwich!!! Delicious!!! I would eat here again!!!!

Went for Mothers Day 2024 and it was empty when we arrived. The food took FOREVER to come out, the server was incredibly terrible. The kitchen staff was talking very loudly about our table and order. It was not great. Went back again to see if it was a fluke and the wings had more sauce than meat. It was underwhelmed. Typical bar ambiance.

We dined in on 7/21/24. Service was horrible. The waitress was running around between us and bar, never received any refills, only visited table when giving us food, and then 15 minutes later the bill. Food was COLD (After waiting over 30 minutes for it). All 3 of our dishes... raviolis were still cold in center of both meals, sauce on top was luke warm, sandwich was warm as well. Not to mention the flies that were hovering around us which made it non-enjoyable. They also charged us $2.50 for a cup of water. And they had a customer helping them take orders, take away dishes and drinks. To top off our terrible experience, they were BLASTING "Scream-O" music from the kitchen and we heard it from where we were sitting. Unacceptable! Will not be returning.

Excellent food. Great people. Hometown favorite especially for East Siders. Many good weekends!
