I've been to Carnivore's many, many times throughout the years. I always enjoyed my food. Last handful of times, it's not been very good at all. We wanted to order fried cheese sticks and I asked the server how they were and he enthusiastically said, "They're good!" When I said that's good because I didn't want frozen ones like you'd get at Walmart, he kind of paused and then tried to explain what they looked like. That pause should have been a tipoff. In retrospect, I wish they had been from Walmart instead because these sucked. When you choose that caliber of product from your supplier, you don't care about what you're serving to customers. Bacon cheeseburger came out NOT medium rare but at least the bacon did. It was pretty much raw. I could put an 8 year old in charge of letting someone know when the bacon is done by looking at it while it's cooking. Apparently, they need an 8 year old in the kitchen...Interestingly, their fries were and still are very good. Maybe the fry guy should watch the bacon too. The portions of them also are large. My wife got a house salad and it looked excellent and was very big. You don't score a lot of points though with me for being able to make a salad. She got a side of shoestring fries and they were excellent and plentiful. The server was nice enough but I had to all but tackle him to get a drink refill (water) and he never asked if I wanted another beer. So, below average service.The reason why this is a two and not one star review is it feels like they're trying to hold the line on prices. They're certainly higher than they have been in the past but it feels like they're trying not to send them through the ceiling like a great many other restaurants are doing. I appreciate that very much. That said the food simply has to get better. They used to have pretty good pizza but got rid of them which is a shame.

It was pretty loud for trivia night but the food still came out in a timely manner. Server was really nice and checked on us often. Portion sizes are huge. I should have just went with 1/2 the order. Good selection of beers. Saw a ton of people I went to high school with a million years ago so I would definitely categorize it as a local watering hole.

Definitely a casual spot. Good place to catch a game as they had a lot of TVsPlenty of beer here, advertised like 500 beers. Didn't try any as was a business lunch Ordered the Barrel aged steak salad with French dressing. Was good, plenty of steak over a salad. Steak was very tastyService was good. Nice and helpful without being too much!

Great food, friendly staff.Ordered the Fall Menu Long Island iced tea and it was pretty good, loved that it came with a caramel Apple lollipop those used to be my favorite! The nachos were really good, the toppings were spread throughout and not just thrown on top. We added chicken and it had a great flavor.The Italian stallion hoagie was fantastic. The bread was nice and toasted, and it had a good meat to bread ratio. Got a side of shoestring fries and they were delicious.

Friendly welcome and fast service! The Rueben was great, but I wasn't a fan of the fresh cut fries. I do t like fries that are too we'll done and these definitely were. I probably would t eat here again.

Food is so good! Wed is $.50 wing night. The draft selection changes often and the Blockhouse Pumpkin Ale is delicious especially since the cinnamon sugar rim the glass! The service is quick, courteous and helpful! Jonah was awesome!!! He suggested a few beers and brought 2 samples for me to pick from. Needless to say I went with his pick of the Blockhouse Pumpkin Ale. So good I go had 2! I even invited my friend and her husband to joined us next time. We will ask for Jonah !

Great value with 50 cent wing night. Wings were pretty quality with 8-12 sauce offerings. Loaded with sauce...I don't mind that but some are turned off by that. The draft lineup and beer cooler was definitely quantity over quality which was kind of a bummer. Ended up getting wings then inner groove for craft beer down the street. I'll be rotating between here and off the rail on Wednesdays with the draft lineup at each being the tie break each time.

My friend and I ate at Carnivores the other night since neither of us been. The menu has typical bar food nothing distinctive. We both had fresh cut fries. She had the beef nachos and I had wedding soup. The service was great but the food was just okay.
