Capstone Grill

Recently had dinner at Capstone again for the first time since my last review. It was excellent! Our server was awesome but I forget her name sadly. I haven't had crab cakes here in years and I don't know why - they were perfect! Our group also liked the bruschetta and zucchini fries. Drinks were great too.

Stopped in with some pals after golfing 18 nearby at Lindenwood. The place is nicely set up, clean and seating was comfortable. Our server was wonderful - friendly and she kept checking in and refilling drinks. Food was excellent...I had a red Roquefort salad and some stuffed banana peppers. Very tasty, especially the salad! The bread and dipping oil was exceptional. All good here...definately recommended!

Great service and good food. I had the manager's special which is filet mignon and crab cake. I've had better filet mignon. Overall a good experience.

Wonderful evening celebrating my mother in laws bday! Party of 8. Food was fabulous. Our server Melissa was excellent. Thank you MelissaAnd staff for making this a memorable evening.

A group of us came in here on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was pretty busy but we called on the way there to see if they had a table for us. We ordered a bunch of appetizers. The three cheese bruschetta was my favorite. They also brought out fresh bread which was delicious. For my meal I ordered the salmon with the Cajun honey mango prep style. I would definitely order it again in the future. For my sides I got the green beans and a cup of the chowder.

Capstone grill has the best crab cake in town, that's a fact! Better than Monterrey bay! And if you are gluten free, you can ask for it to be made GF! Everything I've tried here from the salads to the fish dinners are excellent, and don't forget their seasonal featured beverages- always a treat. I have to add the service here is second to none, and even if you pop in a little before closing(30 min) they've always been good to us and happy to have the business. Friendly servers, great food in Peters township, what more could you ask for!

Greatest treasure in the South Hills Area. Reservations not accepted.I suggest that one arrives early for diner specials are sometimes out. .The food is wonderful. Reminds me of the small beach places. It is family run and they treat you like a house guest . Try the beet salad and the creme brûlée .Any entree is excellent as well as the crab cakes . You'll love the place.

A good neighborhood restaurant and bar. The menu is all American and one of the few venues in the area that serves liver and onions, one of my faves. The service is good and when you are there you know where you are.

I have dined at capstone many times and always with a group of people. This particular night a group of friends went to dinner to catch up. I would like to note that this group is a group of service industry workers, from restaurant owners,servers, bartenders and retail. We have all done something with the public for many years. The kitchen took longer than normal to prepare our food but we didn't care because we were having fun catching up. Our original server was very nice and this review isn't about them. They had to step away momentarily. The second server( who the review is about) took over for a few minutes. She felt the need to reprimand us and tell us that we were rude, mean and asking for too much and that why our original server had to step away. We were shocked to hear that, (we felt we were nothing but nice) but mostly shocked that we as customers were being spoken too that way. In all my years of dining I have never been spoken too that way, not even at a dive bar. Needless to say she killed the mood. While we originally planning on having a few more drinks and some dessert. We just ended up leaving with plans to never return. Maybe we should have spoken to a manager but honestly we were shocked to be treated that way.
