This was our third time and the last time we will be eating at this restaurant. When we stopped for breakfast we were hopeful this visit would be different. We were so wrong. The employees were arguing because everyone was late to work except for one employee that was serving and cooking. They were swearing at each other and at the kids they brought to work with them. The one child was running around the kitchen area. The restaurant just felt dirty and the food was just okay. Definitely do not recommend.

Decent. Famous poor boy is surprisingly unremarkable but good double decker burger. Desperately in need of a better open sign. Place had CLOSED in a window visible as you pull in, yet it was open. Fairly clean "greasy spoon" style diner. Support local.

I had a group lunch for some of my military friends. We had good service and everyone I talk with liked their meals. I had the hot sausage sandwich with onion rings. Very good. Nothing special, just good food at a good price. Stop you see for yourself!

I enjoyed lunch at the Cadet with two of my brothers and my sister-in-law. We all remember the Cadet from growing up in the Kittanning area and wanted to give it a try since coming under new ownership. We all decided to order the Poorboy Platter that includes the double-decker hamburger sandwich, fries and coleslaw. The burger and coleslaw were delicious. I'm more a fan of regular, fresh-cut French fries but the coated fries were pretty good. The service was fast and the food was hot when it arrived at our table. Our server was very pleasant and checked on us just the right amount to refill our drinks and to ask if we needed anything else. I also spoke with the owner and she was also very pleasant and asked about our experience.I highly recommend the Cadet for good food in a reasonably priced, casual dining place. I visit Kittanning frequently and will definitely return to the Cadet in the future.

A cute little hole in the wall diner. I had breakfast... Scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, and a pancake. Everything was good. My husband had poor boy double-decker burger, and said it was great! He also ordered fries but not his favorite bc they were those double dipped fries everyone seems to have these days. That's nothing against the diner though, it's just his preference and I thought I'd mention it here in case someone else doesn't like them. He ate my home fries and love those. Service was very good and never felt like I was waiting for anything. Clean and charming little place with good prices. We would definitely eat here again when passing through.

Cool old place to sat the least. Had the poorboy burger. Nice size burger. Solid but not anything to brag about. Onion rings were very good. Ham and cheese omelette was solid with average potatoes. Blueberry pancake was literally burnt bad but we were full and wasnt worth making a fuss about . Incan see why its been there forever. Solid and really cheap prices.

Stopped here for breakfast driving through the area. The place is certainly a dive and is well-dated (*understatement*), but the breakfast was ample and good to eat. Plus, it's pretty cheap - which is never a bad thing. The place had friendly service, too - so combine that with a 30 foot statue of a cowboy holding a hamburger, this place is worth a shot if you're driving by and want some cheap eats. I'm giving it 3 stars to help their ratings, though it's probably a 2.5. Time to eat, cowboy!!

The inside of the restaurant is very cute! Old, country diner vibes. We got the fried app platter and it was good. I got the country Chicken n' Biscuit which was as expected. Overall a fun experience!

Very nice relaxing simple restaurant. Had breakfast with my boys. Great chocolate chip pancakes and top notch sausage. I tried the blueberry lemon pancakes which were also delicious. Service was excellent and prices very reasonable.
