"We bought tickets to Ritual House's Harry Potter Chef's Dinner for yesterday and we had such a fun time! You walk in and get sorted into a house via the Sorting Hat and get a glass of bubbly that corresponds to your house. You pick your seat from one of the seven tables (each with a detailed centerpiece that corresponds to one of the seven books) and the six courses of food and drinks begin! I thought the food was delicious and liked how they had a mocktail option for each course.I was really impressed by the level of attention to detail. From the intricate centerpieces to the floating candles and keys to the themed food and drinks, I thought it was well worth the money ($135 during their Black Friday sale + taxes and fees). I was so full that I ended up taking most of the last three courses of food home! The staff was super nice and accommodating. They did a great job accommodating my friend's seafood allergy and even hunted down a to go cup for my leftover Butterbeer mocktail. I really enjoyed everyone I interacted with yesterday night."
"Wine tasting dinner last night. 2/2/25WowGreat pairing of wine and food. From soup to dessert food was excellent. Very interesting flavors from the wines. We enjoyed it."

"Firebirds is a solid choice for the area, offering decent food with steaks that stand out. While it feels a notch above a typical chain restaurant, it's a reliable option for a satisfying meal. If you're staying nearby, it's worth a visit, but if you're able to venture into Pittsburgh, you'll find even more remarkable dining options."
""Where friends meet" is a very appropriate tagline for this comfortable and bustling little nook right in the heart of Washington, PA. My family and I love coming here and frequently check their Facebook page which is reliably updated on a weekly basis with specials. These are always worth checking out and there is a wide variety of offerings. Hot tip : if it's crab cakes, get them early because they will sell out. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and there's something for everyone. My personal recommendation is make room for the wedding soup, it's the best! Reservations recommended on a Friday or Saturday night because all the friends will be meeting here!"
"Great food and excellent service. Huge glasses of wine, and don't skip dessert. The stuffed banana peppers were great but a bit spicy. The homemade tortellini were like little purses of ricotta. Got it with vodka sauce 10/10 recommend but save room fir amazing lemon cake!"
"I've been here a couple times, and loved it every time. Had pizza once, and pasta a couple times. Everything that comes out of the kitchen looks fantastic. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.."
"We have been trying to get here for a couple of years. We were in the neighborhood and stopped in to see if we could get a table. Pinos was completely booked but found a bar seat for us. The bar tender Rachel was our server. I can't recall when we have received better service. She was attentive and lovely. The food was delicious. We enjoyed. The wine and drink list were great. The only downside was that the food was a bit pricy. I would definitely come back."
"Honestly, who can afford to eat out anymore? Well if you're gonna plunk down the dough you might as well make it someplace worthwhile. Some place you haven't tried before. So Marla (my best friend since childhood) were looking for something to do on a girl's night out. Niether of us had been to Senti before, so we thought we'd try it. I tried the "Brodetto di Pesce" Brodetto di Pesce, which is calamari, shrimps, clams, etc. The pasta is fresh and w-a-y above what you'd get someplace else. Marla went for the gigli pasta in a vodka sauce and said it was amazing. And of course one must top off one's dinner with tiramisu!"
"So I don't know why this place is getting such a bad rap in the Yelp reviews. We are visiting Pittsburgh for a week and this was on our list after riding the incline up to MT Washington. We went there today and it was really good. The view was stupendous. The food and the service were excellent. Yes you could pay a little less going someplace else, but that view was worth every penny! On a nice day you just can't beat it! Heather, our waitress was awesome and a lot of fun to talk to.I had the garlic burger and I asked for medium rare and that's exactly what I got. My wife had the berry salad with chicken and she loved it. There was nothing left on our plates and we're pretty picky. So I don't want to discount other peoples experiences, but ours was excellent and we would go back in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor and give it a chance."
"Firebirds, a place I've frequented a few times and food was pretty good, but sometimes things change. Today was a simple delivery order, three....simple....burgers. (Two medium and one medium-well). All three arrived sloppy, burnt like charcoal briquets. Missing the condiments, no pickle, no mayo, ketchup, as was ordered and noted. Really pretty simple stuff, aint like three burgers is some botique order that needs the attention of a sous chef. All it needs si someone to do just that, pay attention, show a little care and attention to the order esp at these prices. Oh well"

Ritual House restaurant and bar serves brunch, lunch, and dinner in a setting with stylish swings, flowers, and chandeliers--and if you are lucky, sparklers and cotton candy. My husband and I ate one dinner here for a late Valentine's celebration. The seating hostess, waiter, and chefs performed their jobs in a timely manner. Here are my ratings for what we ate:Strawberry Shortcake Mocktail - 4.5 stars - This mocktail contained strawberry syrup, coconut milk, and vanilla, and it had a strawberry chunk and cream around the rim. I enjoyed the sweet flavors.Deviled Eggs - 3.5 stars - These deviled eggs were piled high and were topped with smoked paprika and pieces of candied bacon. We liked the bacon but thought that the yolk could have been more flavorful. Crab Fondue - 5 stars - A richly delicious dip contained blue crab, goat cheese, and parmesan cheese. We used fondue forks to dip chunks of bread into this crab-cheese mixture. This appetizer was our favorite food that we ate here, so we recommend ordering it.Beef Short Rib - 3.5 stars - This short rib was a large size, had tender meat, and was accompanied by parmesan grits, onions, and carrots. It was covered with some burgundy-wine demi-glace, but I thought that it needed more seasoning for flavor. Seared Tuna Sashimi - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this entree, and it tasted very good. Slices of tuna were covered in sesame, togarashi, wasabi aioli, sweet soy, pickled ginger, and cucumber.Dessert Sushi Roll - 3.5 stars - This sweet dessert consisted of sushi-shaped lemon-vanilla sponge cake and lemon cheesecake that were filled with red-fruit gelee and passion-fruit gelee. On the side was blueberry syrup. The total price was $150 *plus* a tip. We did not think that the quality warranted the price, but I felt happy to try this restaurant.

The food was delicious! The bread was 10/10 and the dipping oil it comes with is superb. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was one of the best I've had. The chicken that usually comes with Alfredo at other places is typically dry- but at Roman's it was flavorful and you could eat it on its own! The service was not ideal- the waitress we had was not very friendly, very short with us and gruff. I would return here and try other items!

It's a really nice place inside. Dark and cozy, it's a nice place to hang out, have some drinks and a meal. Had been here about 4 years ago or so so came in for a steak after flying all dayHad a bourbon while I looked over the menuDecided on the wings for an app and an16oz ribeye with a baked potato and steamed vegetables Wings were delicious. Very full of flavor and cooked perfectly Got the BLT salad with the garlic ranch dressing. It was very good, I practically licked the bowl! The steak was a different story. It was cooked well and tasted ok except it was extremely salty. I couldn't eat the whole thing it was so salty. My tongue was still burning the next morning! Potato was excellent and I ate it skin and all. Veggies were ok, nothing specialHad the lemonade too, was good, definitely tasted fresh squeezed Service was good very nice and attentive

We were in the area visiting family for a long weekend. Stopped for an early dinner at the Union grill. I had the halibut with spinach, peppers and onions with mashed potatoes. My sister had the Cajun linguine with chicken. Portions are large and food very high quality. Great value for the price. Food was absolutely delicious. We split the almond layer cake for dessert. Our server was Nicole and she was amazing and welcoming. 10/10 highly recommend eating here.

OMG ITALIAN HEAVEN !!!! THE greatest I have ever had ! Server was absolutely above and beyond any kind service I've ever had in any state or country ! Stuffed banana peppers beyond good and filling. Angel hair with red clam sauce would make a baptist go to confession ! And the capper was the mushroom brie bisque. If I'm ever on life support I pray one of my IV is that decadent, rich, warming creation of God !!! Wheeling you have something magnificent here ! When I'm here I'll be eating at Figarettes no doubt about it ! BEYOND 5 STARS !!!

Food and service is always outstanding and consistent. We eat here regularly, can't recommend more. Welcome surprise, they installed sound dampening tiles on the ceiling and walls. Significant improvement in atmosphere!Way to go Pino and Jen!

While I'm admittedly not a fan of Italian food, I can't knock Senti as a whole! The restaurant is more than willing to cater to dietary restrictions, offering vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The bruschetta is to die for and the servers are highly knowledgeable on the menu. The atmosphere is sophisticated, but welcoming. We were fine bringing in our backpacks after work. The small parking lot may have been my favourite part: right across the street and makes a usually hectic Lawrenceville parking situation a non-issue. Senti is the perfect place to bring out of town guests or visiting scholars.

"An unexpected pleasure. Excellent food, well presented. A beautiful atmosphere, and professional knowledgeable service. This is my go to location for taking friends when they're visiting in the area. Recommended."
"Great food, service and ambience. We've been going there since it opened and it's always excellent."
"Family style restaurant with friendly ambience and a varied menu. Monthly early-bird specials are usually tasty and a good value."
"Excellent place for lunch and dinner! Their ribeye burger might be THE BEST I've had in the entire area. Smokey, rich beef flavor and just the right size for lunch. Also, their breaded citrusy cod bites with garlic aioli are fantastic! #yumFinally, their French onion soup is delicious and tops off a great lunch in a warm, inviting atmosphere ~ lounge style seating around the bar. Dessert: Tiramisu!A great place to indulge in a drink, or two and enjoy a hot and hearty delicious meal!"
"I love The Nest! We do all of our event celebrations here, birthdays and anniversaries and stuff. Cozy, old-timey feel. Classic seafood/steak offerings. Always reliable. A diamond in the Jeannette rough."
"I love grabbing a pizza here from time to time because they are one of the rare establishments that offer VEGAN CHEESE!! Oh how I wish more pizza places had it, but Avalon does! Their crust is amazing and the pizza itself never disappoints. The folks that work there are always nice, too. It's a bit loud honestly if you dine in, but that's to be expected with a pizza place and it was never so bad that it bothered me. Will definitely be back again and again!"
"Essence was my server and she was phenomenal! My glass never went empty! She was extremely attentive! The ambiance is nice would be a lovely date night location!!The food is everything I hoped for and more! The bread comes to the table nice and warm. The fresh wedge of butter tastes fresh like they are making it in the back.I ordered the Chicken piccata and It was very authentic!!From the delicious sauce to the perfect mushroom and artichokes!! The chicken was so tender I didn't need my knife!!Will I be back! Yes this is hands down the best Italian restaurant in town. Very impressed"
"Market Street Grocery is located right in Market Square around the corner from the Simple Greek. I used to visit the wine bar in the back often before the pandemic. They served Collefrisio wines and had great cheese plates. My friends and I would go for their happy hour for half priced glasses of Riserva wine. It was a very laid back atmosphere. I don't think the wine bar has reopened, but I visited recently for a coffee. De Fer Coffee & Tea is now the coffee provider inside the grocery store. I guess I haven't been there for a while, because there were a lot of changes! The macaron stand isn't there any more, and they have seats instead. I was so glad that I took my laptop with me, because once I saw the seats I decided to stay and work. While sipping on my oat milk latte, I watched all the Downtown work people come and go ordering custom sandwiches and hot foods for lunch. They have a good selection of food and the prices are reasonable. I remember one time ordering salmon, veggies, and something else and it was only about $10-$12. They served it to you on a plate, and I ate it in the wine bar. I didn't eat anything on this most recent trip, but I enjoyed my latte from De Fer. I'm glad to know they have seats now because I definitely plan to eat/work there more often. They also have a restroom downstairs that is kept clean."
"To start, I wanted to note I came with a big group, which I know typically makes things a bit more complicated at restaurants. We all ordered at the same time, however, the food came out at veryyyy different times. It also seemed that it was dependent on what was ordered. For example, everyone who ordered salads and pastas got their meals first. Then about 10+ minutes later, the pizzas and meatball sandwiches came out. It was a bit disappointing considering we expected to eat together, but by the time we got our meals, the rest of the families plates had already been cleared since they had a bigger jump start on eating. Also, we ordered appetizers but those came out with the meals, not before. Which was a bummer, again considering we wanted to have something to eat together. I would recommend the meatballs, they're absolutely worth the hype!! The only downside was that they came on regular bread, not the cibatta noted on the menu.Overall, the service was great and the staff was very friendly!!"
"Very cool old building (the only drawback is that noise bounces around it). Their steaks are great even as leftovers, which isn't the case with most restaurants. Their steak salad is the best around."
"One of the best meals I've had in a while! The vibes of Golden Gai are unmatched, it doesn't even feel like you're in Pittsburgh. It gives a really exclusive feel, I love it! It's all counter seating facing the bar & kitchen so you get to watch all of the action which was really entertaining. There are about 30 seats in total. Our server was awesome and was really knowledgeable about the menu, especially since this was only their fourth day open for dine in service. We started with steamed soybeans and cocktails. I can't remember what my cocktail was called but it was delicious. Next, my husband and I each ordered a sushi roll. I had the spicy tuna and he had the spicy scallop. We both agreed this was probably one of the sushi rolls we've had in Pittsburgh. The seasonal fried rice was incredible - I loved the pork belly and the runny yolk egg. We also had the fried chicken - amazing. Perfectly battered and fried. It comes with a gravy that I could drink LOL. We ended the evening with the soy brownie topped with miso caramel. I could smell it cooking and it smelt so amazing that I knew I had to order it. Absolutely fantastic. It's topped with freeze dried vanilla ice cream that I have never had before and it was almost like whipped cream. Overall, absolutely incredible experience at Golden Gai and cannot wait to return!!!"
"Just moved around the corner so we have been visiting more often and we have loved everything so far! The 4 dip app is the best! We have had the bowls, the tacos, the fajitas, and more. We will be back!"
"We chose CharBenay because were were seeing a show at the Robbins Theater and wanted to be able to walk to it since we were coming from out of town. I called on Saturday morning to make reservations for five for that evening with no problem. We had no problem finding it and their ample parking lot made things simple. There was no hostess to greet us but our table was distinctly marked so, easy to find. I'm glad I spoke to the person taking reservations because she had explained there serving method. We pick up menus at the bar, made our decisions, then went back to the bar to order our drinks and dinner and pay for them. Our drinks were immediately made for us and we carried them to our table. Our dinners were served to us fairly quickly. Three of us had a mussel and shrimp pasta dish with lobster sauce. It was terrific, with oodles of sauce! A steak burger and fries and a vegetarian burger and fries were ordered by the others. Everyone was happy with there choices. Two of us chose the "flight" of wines. It was five samples for $9 and was fun to try some many different tastes. We had been told that there would be a band, but didn't really realize we would be seated so close to it. The band was ok, but rather loud. It made conversation over dinner really difficult. I would love to go back when there was no band or if we could be seated in a different room. (There was a private party in the room I would have preferred to be in). It also appeared that there was a rather large patio for warmer weather."
"Food was different and great! Little bit of a New Orleans flair and feeling. Live music. Clean! Will definitely return."
"I was in Pittsburgh this week and I stayed at the Double Tree hotel where this restaurant is located. When you are on the road, it is really a plus to have a good restaurant right where you are sleeping. I had one dinner and two breakfasts here. Dinner the first night was fabulous - I had a beef soup that tasted homemade, I even remarked to the server that the broth tasted like my wife's gravy. For my main dish I had linguine with crab meat, shrimp and scallops plus peppers and garlic. I always seek out pasta/shrimp dishes and this one was one of the best. I was the only person in the dining room for quite a while as not too many people travel here for business on January 2nd, so needless to say the service was superb. My two breakfasts were delicious, Denver omelet with a side of ham, English muffin and cranberry juice. Hot and fresh and served with a smile. Great way to start the day.If you are traveling here I recommend eating here as well. Food is great and the prices reasonable, no expense report problems."
"The restaurant has just opened this past week. We had been looking forward to it as we love good Asian cuisine. The place is pretty spartan, but appears to be moving in the right direction with regard to ambiance. It's bright inside, there are a few dine-in tables. It was clean, and well maintained. The staff were very responsive to questions about their offerings, they seem very friendly and polite. The food was pretty good. We had the sashimi sampler, which had white tail, tuna and salmon, fresh and delicious. The shrimp shumai were tasty but tiny. We also loved the chicken udon noodles. It was made with bok choy, cloud ear mushrooms, and strips of steamed chicken breast. (Most places just toss in broccoli and carrots, so it was a nice difference.) The sweet potato roll was excellent. It was crispy and sweet. Try it with the owners secret wasabi mayo (he makes it himself), it's a very nice flavor contrast. The city roll was also nice. I would have liked it to have been more aggressively spicy, but it was still very tasty. We will be back for the Bento lunch specials. (We will definitely provide an update. They sound promising.). Two people, two appetizers, two rolls, an additional entree and two sodas, with tax and tip were just under $50. Very affordable for a night out. It would have helped the ambiance to have had some Asian music playing, and maybe some softer lighting. But this is a new establishment, and the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff tells me they will have a lot of opportunities to grow and improve. We really like having a sushi/fusion restaurant so close to home! So, keep up the good work!!"
