"A friend and I stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner on a December warm and sunny Saturday, a very busy day in the Strip District. We stopped in about 2:40pm with about a 35 minute wait to be seated. We gave our phone number for them to text us when ready. giving us time to continue shopping. The menu held many options we both were interested in. In the end, we both opted for the Grinchmas cocktail of pear vodka, schnapps, and pineapple with the coloring true to that of the Grinch. Nice and refreshing.Next we both opted for the same street taco combo of a mahi mahi taco and a Baja shrimp taco, both in a flour shell. They were huge and filling.Lastly, dessert. Of the choices of a chocolate mousse, creme Brule, and key lime pie, I took the mousse and my friend the key lime. The presentations were so eye appealing and no complaints on the taste. Our server was attentive and helpful."

"This place was excellent, the staff was very polite and attentive. This was one of only a few places that had all you can eat menu that included sushi, fried appetizers, noodles, and many other items for only $23.99 per person. The inside was no special place, simple and functional.I will definitely return next time in town"
"I've been a student at Pitt for 3 years now, and this was my first time trying Oishii bento! Very impressed, and sad that I didn't try it before! I got the beef bulgogi bento box with rice, japche, pickled radish, and vegetable dumplings. (Online it says that it comes with kimchi too, but seems to be outdated info). Food took a little while to come out, but the food was hot and fresh!! I could totally tell that they cooked it to order. Normally I would have taken my food to go, but I decided to eat inside. There's a small seating area upstairs (probably about 15-20 seats at various sized tables). Workers were fairly nice, and the food was reasonably priced for the portion. My bento box was $14 ($15 with tax) and was very filling. Can't wait to come back and try more from this place!"
"Top quality, Chinese food, authentic recipes like pepper pot a wide selection of choices . The restaurant is family friendly and they also have a home delivery service . You won't be disappointed"
"Been to Tokyo (my staff member's uncle was a sushi chef), worked in New York, and enjoyed sushi in coastal seafood meccas like Portland, Maine and Vancouver. This King Salmon Chirashi (sourced from Hokkaido) blew my freakin' mind! This place is so good and unpretentious, but casually refined. Will come back again and again."
"Had not visited in about 9 years and now so glad I am back!!! The sushi is AMAZING! Willing to wait when it's busy. No reservations. They also have hibachi and ramen options. Each time I have seen couples and families, there is something for everyone. Tip- they do put lemon on salmon. So if you don't want that tell them ahead of time!"
"Hit this place while visiting Pitt for a student tour. Entry Is a bit misleading as it is pretty small but there is a decent eating space upstairs. The donut was fantastic; spicy tuna, tuna and salmon with avocado. So good! The other sushi (can't remember what we ordered) was also excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful in finding the best combo for our first visit. Won't be our last visit."
"Came in on a hoppin Saturday night 10 days before Christmas and the place was packed! If you come on the weekend reservations are probably a good idea. Parking will be hit/miss, you might get somewhere close. You might park 4 blocks away like I had to. The inside has a nice vibe as it's situated in an older building with lots of brick. The place is loud if it's busy so be prepared for that. The food is all really good, from the pho to the rangoons and egg rolls to all the sushi. My only chief complaint and I'm offering grace here because I know it was busy, is that it took a solid 25-30 minutes to get the appetizers after we got our drinks. Otherwise the service was good as well as the food. Check it out!"
"Always a great experience at Mizu. I felt adventurous and decided to try something new, so I got the Bento box."
"We've been going to Sushi Tomo for YEARS.. they honestly have upgraded their sushi over the past couple of years and it's delicious! They have multiple types of Toro that rivals Gi-Jin! My favorite is the Copper River salmon when they get it in for a few weeks a year ..yum! they always invent new rolls that are large and fresh..and we love their ginger dressing on the salad. They are always consistent with their fresh fish and the servers are always so friendly and on top of it. They also have special tastings through the year which are so fun! If you haven't tried out this true gem on McKnight Road..get going!"
"Let me start by saying I didn't pick this place. It was one of my daughter's volleyball teammates who picked it for a team dinner. I wasn't very thrilled because of the limited vegetarian options. While we were waiting for a few in our group to arrive I went to my my favorite review app to see what I was in for. I was disappointed to see how low their rating is compared to the price. That being said, the service was fantastic, the food was tasty, and I would definitely recommend if you like hibachi. Personally not my thing, but that's ok. The server and chefs were very very attentive to making sure everyone got exactly what they wanted and cooked it to their liking."

I recently went on a date to Luke Wholey's Wild Alaskan Grille. It's been a while since I've been there but everything is just as delicious as I remembered. My date made a reservation and we were seated right away. We started with the Maine Mussels (choice of Bianco wine sauce or spicy marinara). We went with the spicy marinara broth. They were really good, and the broth had a little kick but wasn't overall spicy. For our entrees, I ordered the shrimp and scallops and my date ordered the English style broiled Atlantic cod. Both of our entrees were really good. A small critique is that my date mentioned that the cod could have been broiled just a little bit more. Overall, everything was delicious and the service was wonderful as always.

If I could have packed this lil spot up and taken it back to Charlotte with me I would have. Umami was the absolute highlight of my quick trip to Pittsburgh last weekend. I came off of the recommendation of a good friend and it did not disappoint. I came alone on a busy Friday and asked to sit at the bar, and it was packed in there. The host was SO kind to literally grab a stool from who knows where and squeeze me in at the bar. Truly so kind and so appreciated. I was perfectly happy to sit elbow to elbow with some really nice folks at the bar. Someone gave me some recommendations on food and the bartender was amazing too!For drinks, I ordered the "old osaka" which is their take on an old fashioned with tori whisky, china china and shiso honey. This drink was phenomenal!!! So flavor forward, but so well balanced. I also tried one of their rare liquors called "cor cor red" it's an Okinawa molasses rum and it was pretty dang strong and tasty. I had to try it because it's something I've never seen on a menu. The drinks were amazing and so was the food!!! For food I ordered spicy pickled cucumbers, and these skewers: wagyu beef, brussel sprouts and shisito peppers. They were all delicious! The absolute STAR OF THE SHOW though, was the "takoyaki" which are fried octopus balls. My goodness! These were so good I almost ordered a second helping. Seriously delicious! My entree was the gyudon which is a beef rice bowl and it was also really good!! The funny thing is I ate ALL of this food, all of it. I can't express enough how fun of a culinary experience this was. From great food and drinks to awesome service and ambiance. This was truly a dinner to remember and I'll visit this place every time I'm in Pittsburgh!!! Truly a 5 star experience!

For a $24 dinner sushi buffet, i expect a lot more from Sushi Bomb. First, the waitress had troubles getting the correct orders for our table but considering we are a big group (8), i understand it could be difficult. We ordered many dishes from each category and we didn't like a lot of them.Crab rangoon was over fried, didn't have a lot of stuffing in it. Fried calamari was super chewy. The single sushi pieces were disappointing. The rice kept falling off and had no flavor.Yellowtail Jalapeno didn't taste fresh.I find it quite frustrating that the raw fish at a sushi place doesn't taste fresh.

This place never fails! They've been consistent throughout the years. You know you get a good meal whenever you order from there. Also, you can't go wrong with anything you choose from their menu. This place gets busy and it's best to order online for a pickup. In terms of seating, there's limited space available. Best bang for a wholesome healthy meal!

We were in the area and the 4 of us wanted Chinese food for lunch. We wanted a place that had an authentic Chinese menu and an American Chinese menu. This place came up on our Google search. The restaurant is very clean and modern, we were greeted straightaway and sat down. Our waitress Aislinn provided wonderful service with a smile and helped us with recommendations. She was attentive and took care of us. We ordered the lunch specials and added the dan dan noodles and scallion pancake for apps. Both of these were good. The soups that came with the specials were very good, warm and satisfying. The egg drop soup is GF and so met the need for one in our party. The dishes were all tasty and you get a lot of food that we had to take things home. All in all great place for Chinese food in a nice atmosphere with great service.Knocked off a star though for very high price of hot tea, which was simply a tea bag in hot water in a mug, which costs $5. So for 3 mugs, that is $15. Besides the pricing on the nonLunch Specials, overall good.

Mola is one of my favorite lunch spots for sushi! The waiters are always super friendly and the modern ambiance inside the restaurant makes it an enjoyable sit down experience.I love the lunch specials they offer specifically getting to pair a roll with a bao bun. My favorites include the shrimp tempura and eel roll. The Mola Vegetables are also a must try appetizer.

| Mt. Lebo - Pittsburgh, PA | Little Tokyo we're a family that loves little Tokyo! They have something for everyone. Hibachi for me, sushi for the rest of the family. That's why we chose to go here for my mamas birthday. Sweet potato sushi is ALWAYS a top choice esp for those who don't like seafood /sushi but wanna fit in I wish more places offered it, so I swipe it up every single time I see it on the menu!! This was the first time I had fried ice cream and it's also wonderful. So i'm a happy clam and this is a #GOUDapproved restaurant from me!! Hibachi Filet Mignon + miso soup $29.95 sweet potato sushi $6 for 6pc i'm not gonna lie I have no idea what rolls are what and I forgot to write them down. fried ice cream $7.95

The sushi always tastes fresh, is made quickly, and easily available on a bunch of delivery apps. To my surprise, the poke bowl was actually pretty good size and filling. The House special bowl has both tuna and salmon, which were tasty and fresh. There was a good amounts of veggies in a savory mild spicy sauce. The sushi was tasty. The steeler roll was my favorite. The shrimp tempura was well made and gave a good crisp. The seared part of the overlying salmon was fine but didn't add much or make a noticeable difference. The Mount Everest roll was good too but it was almost too much to appreciate all the different things in the roll.

"Second visit for sushi, this time we enjoyed the (16 pcs) oceanside sushi combo for my first time dine in experience, as I greatly enjoyed the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai...what a treat to be served a sizzling hot meal with the perfectly recommended level of spice/heat. I highly recommend this Burmese, pan-Asian restaurant that includes sushi, Thai and Chinese food, combined with excellent service for an enjoyable dinning experience."
"Cute spot in market square that I never knew existed until my friend mentioned it! It's down a side street so it's easy to miss, but definitely not something you'd want to miss out on! The sushi was DELICIOUS! Prepared super quickly and for a reasonable price. The person who took my order was polite and did a great job taking orders. I will definitely be back again, and I 100% recommend you get their shrimp tempura roll!!"
"Aug 27th 2024 I love Taipei Tokyo !!!! I tried Moo Goo Gai Pan and loved it , I also can't get enough of the Gyoza Fried Dumplings. Highly recommend no stop go directly to Taipei Tokyo in Monroeville!!"
"I was fairly happy with this buffet. It's been years since I was here last. I came at a weird time between lunch in dinner after work on a Saturday at 3pm.The majority of the food was filled and staff was keeping up with replacements. The items on the far right seemed to be older and not as hot or fresh. Some was cold. Everything else I had was decent.Habatchi grill is always worth getting and cooked right in front of you. There was a good amount of different sushi to choose from as well.I wasn't sure what my bill would be. It was 3:35 when I finished and know the price changes at 3:30 but got there at 3. They must have a grace period as the time was about 15 mins behind on the bill and still got brunch price. There is the notice outside and on each table about not wasting food or charging more for."
"Incredible sushi with a good variety. We got the edamame and miso soup to start. We ordered several specialty rolls and a few nigiri. Everyone was super friendly and the restaurant looked clean. We can't wait to go back!"
"This location in the south side opened just a couple of weeks ago so of course my trusty sidekick and I had to try it out and wow what a flavor explosion! The fish and all the other ingredients were so fresh and delish and the person helping us was very patient and gave us great recommendations! I really didn't think I'd like mango in our classic burrito or in the Pittsburgh poke bowl but just do it - it was a nice balance to the heat we had in both dishes. Lots of space to eat and location and as nice and clean - want to come back for sure and try more !"
"The sushi was excellent and abundant much more than usual for the price we really enjoyed it and the miso soup was also very very good"
"I have been coming here about two a year for the last 6-7 years, and I cannot believe I have yet to review this place. The sushi list is endless and if you're not a sushi fan, the hibachi is just as out of this world ! I've been here about a dozen of times and I've never left disappointed. I have sat at the hibachi tables as well as the bar. The tuna tartar is my absolute favorite and my husband loves the filet mignon hibachi dinner that comes with all the sides such as rice veggies soup and salad. It is always pretty busy anytime we have dined in this establishment considering all of the entertainment places they have surround the restaurant ( improv, movie theater, shopping...etc). What I genuinely like about this place (I see it mainly with the bartenders ), is that no matter how busy or frustrating things may be they still take great care of you and hussle for fast service . I wish I remembers my bartenders name last Saturday because she was absolutely wonderful."
"First time visiting and we were fairly impressed between both the excellent service and quality of the sushi. Our waitress was kind and attentive for the entirety of our meal which was appreciated. They clearly do a LOT of takeout business as there was a constant stream of Uber/DoorDash drivers and other folks stopping in to pick up their order. The jalapeño yellowtail was the stand-out appetizer for us. We've had this at many different sushi restaurants, but this was high quality yellowtail with the right amount of spice. We tried 4 different rolls, all of which we enjoyed - some had a little too much going on to really taste the fish, but that's mostly on us for what we ordered. We would definitely come back!"
"Ya Fei is a locally owned Chinese restaurant that my family and I eat at very often. We have tried a handful of their menu options and a majority of their sushi rolls and it never seems to disappoint. My personal favorite is the fried rice, whether it is vegetable or shrimp. They are flavorful and full of veggies. Their sushi is also extremely tasty. I believe it is better than other surrounding sushi restaurants. Our rolls are always fresh and delicious. The owners are very sweet and willing to help. The employees are very hard working and will do anything needed to make your dinner the best it can be. Overall, I definitely recommend Ya Fei to anyone looking for a yummy Chinese dinner!"
"Wanted to include a pic but we ate everything up without thinking twice about it! The service was quick and attentive, atmosphere was good, as was the food. We had the gyoza and a couple sushi rolls. My picky 1-year-old approved of the gyoza, and no complaints about the sushi, except that I personally like smaller rolls that I can fit in my mouth in one bite instead of trying to bite them in half and have them spill out and make a mess lol. I would come back!"
"Since moving to Pittsburgh, we've been on a mission to find our new favorite Chinese restaurant. Sesame Inn was our 3rd try and they nailed it! We got pork fried dumplings, pork eggrolls, general tso's chicken, orange chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything delicious, the chicken was tender and not dry, and they have the brown fried rice instead of the usual yellow stuff. I've been searching for a place that did not have the boring yellow rice and I'm so glad we found it! It is pricy, but it may be worth it because otherwise it ticks all the boxes. Can't wait to try more from here. We ordered take out. The staff was kind and we didn't have to wait too long for the food. The restaurant was clean and peaceful. We'll have to sit down to eat sometime. Portions were very big as well, which makes the price a bit better."
"Fantastic food! We ordered take-out when family came to visit, and everyone was very happy with their orders, and this can be a tough crowd to please! Every Sushi roll was wonderful. The Bento boxes were very tasty, the soups were flavorful. The restaurant is conveniently located on Boardman-Poland Road (224).' We will definitely be coming back for more."
"This was a great little Chinese / Taiwanese place that popped up in Yelp when I was in Fox Chapel. The interior and decor are reminiscent of old school Chinese restaurants from my childhood, which I love. The food was nice - spring roll was very crispy, the crunchy noodle and sauce were tasty (like how they fill you up with chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant), and really liked the main dish too. Everything in it was cooked well and had good flavor ( my dish was heavy on the umami taste side due to the mushroom/tofu combo). Service was friendly and fast - they did forget my hot tea I ordered, but I let it go, and otherwise, no problems. Anyway, it's a great place, and I can't wait to get back to check out more menu items."
"I've ordered takeout from Katana a handful of times, and my experience has always been a good one. The food is fresh, hot, and very tasty. The Crispy Roll is my favorite sushi item. Try adding asparagus to it, and thank me later :)The hibachi is very flavorful, and portions are good. Some highlights were the chicken and steak hibachi, and the chicken katsu. If you try it you won't be disappointed!"
"I really enjoyed this place; it's a little hard to get in and out of on the curve on University, but I think it's worth it!I ordered the sizzling pineapple chicken and it came to the table with a bit of table side prep still needed, which I loved! It was almost like a sizzling fajita! The sauce was tangy and vibrant, lots of great flavor and aroma. The chicken had a crispy exterior until it was doused with the sauce so it gave it a really nice texture. Only thing I would say is they do not give you very much rice. Other than that, delicious!"
"The sushi is made to order, and I had heard about Asahi from my colleagues some time ago.I was driving through Washington County on the way to Columbus, Ohio, and decided to stop through. Lunch cost me about $20 plus tip, the service was prompt and the food was decent. The restaurant is clean and spacious.I recommend giving this place a try. I didn't have a chance to try the hibachi. Perhaps next time."
"While the servers were very cordial and nice, and the atmosphere is pleasant, the food was just not good. Their yellowtail jalapeno appetizer is deep fried with cream cheese... And no, it doesn't mention that on the menu. If you are a fan of this appetizer, then you know typically it's fresh (raw) yellowtail slices, in a ponzu or similar sauce, with slices of jalapeno on top. It's fresh, light, and a good way to judge the upcoming dishes. I wish I had ordered that without ordering anything else, as I would never have expected it to be deep fried with cream cheese! Their crab is fake crab, which is typical, but to have it *in* and *on* a roll is the epitome of mediocrity. The escolar was stringy and chewy, which is just downright strange. Can't recommend.Positives: The eel was decent, the house wine was cheap, and as I said, the waitresses were nice."
"The owners are very nice and the food is always good. The restaurant is always clean and I never feel like I'm being rushed out."
"Amazing fresh sushi and hibachi. Very big portions! Totally worth the money. Service is average, nothing to complain about. I recommend J1 roll it is our go to everytime, but they have so many other great ones"
"Don't be fooled by the humble looking stair case before the entrance. Everything about this place was fantastic. The sushi had amazing taste and each bite was full of fish. The salmon and yellowtail quality was very high. I even think they make their own spiced soy sauce. I sat at the sushi bar to wait for my take out and wished I could sit and stay longer! The staff were so kind and friendly. Will definetely be back to try more items. Another customer had tempura and it smelled amazing. The vibe is very relaxed but also clean and polished."
"This place is an amazing find!!! So happy with our food and the kindness of the staff and hostess. We ordered takeout and haven't tried everything yet but the hot and sour soup was the best I've ever had. Literally! If everything else comes out this good we will be back whenever in the area!In fact, I'll come just for the hot and sour soup and I live in Maryland"
"My friends and I ate here tonight, there were 6 adults and 3 kids and is a good atmosphere for young kids. We each had various delicious hibachi combinations along with a few sushi rolls. I split the Spicy Santa Roll and enjoyed the shrimp and scallop hibachi along with my strawberry lemonade (the lemonade was the only photo I took). Some notable tidbits: our entire group had to be present to be seated, we were able to have separate checks (we asked when ordering), and we were able to order a to go order and have it prepared as our meals were prepared."
