It feels cozy and warm and is a great place for a date night or a dinner with friends. We had the special Four course Tasting Menu. The Sea Bass was the best I have ever had! "I've been a student at Pitt for 3 years now, and this was my first time trying Oishii bento! Very impressed, and sad that I didn't try it before! I got the beef bulgogi bento box with rice, japche, pickled radish, and vegetable dumplings. (Online it says that it comes with kimchi too, but seems to be outdated info). Food took a little while to come out, but the food was hot and fresh!! I could totally tell that they cooked it to order. Normally I would have taken my food to go, but I decided to eat inside. There's a small seating area upstairs (probably about 15-20 seats at various sized tables). Workers were fairly nice, and the food was reasonably priced for the portion. My bento box was $14 ($15 with tax) and was very filling. Can't wait to come back and try more from this place!"

"We've been going to Sushi Tomo for YEARS.. they honestly have upgraded their sushi over the past couple of years and it's delicious! They have multiple types of Toro that rivals Gi-Jin! My favorite is the Copper River salmon when they get it in for a few weeks a year ..yum! they always invent new rolls that are large and fresh..and we love their ginger dressing on the salad. They are always consistent with their fresh fish and the servers are always so friendly and on top of it. They also have special tastings through the year which are so fun! If you haven't tried out this true gem on McKnight Road..get going!"

I wasn't very thrilled because of the limited vegetarian options.While we were waiting for a few in our group to arrive I went to my my favorite review app to see what I was in for. I was disappointed to see how low their rating is compared to the price.That being said, the service was fantastic, the food was tasty, and I would definitely recommend if you like hibachi. "A beautiful flight of delicious food and fancy. We really enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the Chef's do their thing. I would definetely recommend making a reservation on peak nights if you want a table- either way you will receive great service. My favorite was the salmon Teppanyaki. I have never had such crispy salmon skin. Do not skip the takoyaki. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Hiroshimayaki (the pancake just wasn't my thing) but my partner cleared the plate happily! Drinks were also great and good variety."

The miso black cod course was an absolutely fabulous interpretation of this classic Japanese dish, and we really enjoyed the 5 piece sushi course at the end as a Grand Finale!They have a great wine / beer / sake / cocktail list - I'd love to see some Sapporo and Asahi on tap, as well as some NA options, to really bring it home.The dessert course was also fantastic, as was the service - the place was packed, but she really made us feel well taken care of.Oishii desu! I came at a weird time between lunch in dinner after work on a Saturday at 3pm.The majority of the food was filled and staff was keeping up with replacements. The items on the far right seemed to be older and not as hot or fresh. Some was cold. Everything else I had was decent.Habatchi grill is always worth getting and cooked right in front of you. There was a good amount of different sushi to choose from as well.I wasn't sure what my bill would be. It was 3:35 when I finished and know the price changes at 3:30 but got there at 3. They must have a grace period as the time was about 15 mins behind on the bill and still got brunch price.There is the notice outside and on each table about not wasting food or charging more for."

I ordered two of them and white tuna a la cart and octopus a la cart.Everything came out timely. She forgot I ordered a second sashimi lunch, so I had to ask for it again. The salad was delicious and fresh, the dressing light. I liked the salad. The sashimi here was pretty small and thinly sliced. I didn't know it would be a sliver of octopus for $7. That's too much for what you get. Though everything was fresh, it was all very small. My sister wanted a rainbow roll. It was one of the smallest rolls I've ever seen.Probably won't be back for a while. Not impressed."

"I have been coming here about two a year for the last 6-7 years, and I cannot believe I have yet to review this place. The sushi list is endless and if you're not a sushi fan, the hibachi is just as out of this world ! I've been here about a dozen of times and I've never left disappointed. I have sat at the hibachi tables as well as the bar. The tuna tartar is my absolute favorite and my husband loves the filet mignon hibachi dinner that comes with all the sides such as rice veggies soup and salad. It is always pretty busy anytime we have dined in this establishment considering all of the entertainment places they have surround the restaurant ( improv, movie theater, shopping...etc). What I genuinely like about this place (I see it mainly with the bartenders ), is that no matter how busy or frustrating things may be they still take great care of you and hussle for fast service . I wish I remembers my bartenders name last Saturday because she was absolutely wonderful."

Followed by soup and salad (the dressing was good but not prefer more ginger/less mayo) and then we shared a hibachi dinner (filet and shrimp)...the steak wasn't that flavorful but overall the dinner was good and a generous portion (forgot to snap a pic) we had great service especially on a busy Saturday night. We opted to sit in the back at regular tables instead of the hibachi tables since we mainly came for sushi. The Hibachi tables sounded really fun though as there was a great crowd in the restaurant."

"Ya Fei is a locally owned Chinese restaurant that my family and I eat at very often. We have tried a handful of their menu options and a majority of their sushi rolls and it never seems to disappoint. My personal favorite is the fried rice, whether it is vegetable or shrimp. They are flavorful and full of veggies. Their sushi is also extremely tasty. I believe it is better than other surrounding sushi restaurants. Our rolls are always fresh and delicious. The owners are very sweet and willing to help. The employees are very hard working and will do anything needed to make your dinner the best it can be. Overall, I definitely recommend Ya Fei to anyone looking for a yummy Chinese dinner!"

We had the gyoza and a couple sushi rolls. The restaurant did have a sign that said that they are hiring additional employees, so maybe they are understaffed. The top of the table was a little dirty from a previous customer. Our waitress was very friendly, and she quickly brought out our appetizers and entrees. Here are my reviews for the foods:Side salads - 4 stars - The salads tasted good, but they contained way too much dressing. After we ate the lettuce, we had deep puddles of dressing on the bottom of the bowls.Side soups - 4 stars - These clear soups tasted good and contained a small amount of vegetables.Tuna sushi - 5 stars - My husband likes tuna, and he said that this sushi could not get anymore tuna-like. Vegetable hibachi - 4 stars - The vegetables included carrots, onions, peppers, broccoli, zucchini, and mushrooms, and I liked the taste of the sauce. My side of white rice was cooked well. Chicken katsu - 5 stars - My husband described this entree of breaded chicken as "really good" and "so big"."

And no, it doesn't mention that on the menu. If you are a fan of this appetizer, then you know typically it's fresh (raw) yellowtail slices, in a ponzu or similar sauce, with slices of jalapeno on top. It's fresh, light, and a good way to judge the upcoming dishes. I wish I had ordered that without ordering anything else, as I would never have expected it to be deep fried with cream cheese! Their crab is fake crab, which is typical, but to have it *in* and *on* a roll is the epitome of mediocrity. The escolar was stringy and chewy, which is just downright strange. Can't recommend.Positives: The eel was decent, the house wine was cheap, and as I said, the waitresses were nice."
