"Yay! Page's Dairy the BEST. This is THE place to be. Pgh has had all kinds of new places popping up all over the place and nothing can beat the standard that Page's sets. The menu is amazing. Truly. AMAZING. We usually get soft serve while there and ice cream sandwiches to take home. If you want ambiance, this is not the place. There isn't anywhere to sit. You are going to find yourself eating in the parking. It is in grimy South Side. Their menu makes up for the experience of downing your food while standing next to some old van, down near the river."
"This place is amazing! I had the banana split and it was sooo good! It is also cozy. The people who work there are also friendly."
"Generoasta is my favorite lunch spot. I work nearby so I come down here most weekdays because it is the perfect chill spot to relax and unwind in the middle of a busy day. I typically get the southwestern chicken rice bowl and it is absolutely fantastic. Couldn't recommend it more. As a stark, raving carnivore, I couldn't be happier (there's bacon in there!!). Also the service here is excellent, the staff are as cheerful and friendly as they are good at what they do. Plus, good tunes, a fire pit for the winter and outdoor seating in the summer. Also.... wine! Highly recommend!"
"Frio is definitely my favorite place in Pittsburgh that I've been for ice cream. I may be biased as a Penn State alum, but they carry Penn State creamery ice cream and you just can't beat that. Even though I'm vegan now and can't enjoy the creamery ice cream I love that they carry it and you can get it in Pittsburgh! I also love Frio because they have vegan ice cream and it's so good! Every time I've seen at least 3 vegan flavors. I love the vegan pistachio and the vegan blueberry lavender flavors."
"Coming from the National Aviary on a hot sunny day, me & my friend wanted to get some icecream. Luckily this place was just 3 minute drive! So good!"
"Pros: Super cute place for ice cream, they have so many different flavors which made super fun for us. I can't recall all the odd flavoring but the one we did get was something Pittsburgh since we were in Pittsburgh visiting and it was perfect (dark chocolate pieces in chocolate) and we also selected something blue (forgot the name of it) - my daughter liked it.. And we had chocolate with marshmallows.. also very good. They will let you try then also before getting.Another fun part is, afterwards we went on a short walk down the street, some really cute shops, coffee place.. just a very chill vibe neighborhood (so come before 5 though since everything is closed shops wise- coffee place was still open, along with a couple of other restaurants).. Meter parking - 50 cents per hour before 5pm, free after 5pm... we were looking for an ice cream store and just happened to come across this place after going to another one that was closed.. a fun random discovery and fun random area we haven't ever been.Cons: they don't take bills bigger than a $50... the only day I had $100 bill"
"Toasted coconut is to die for. Perfectly balanced and true coconut flavor. MUST EAT! Really good!"
"I may update my review when I come next time, but I had a nice experience with the breadsticks! I was hungry and super anxious after walking in the area and I decided to try this place out. It's definitely on the smaller side on the inside. I got the breadsticks and they came out really warm, covered with a light layer of garlic oil and parm. I also got some marinara dipping sauce which was a little thinner than normal marinara, more like a standard spaghetti sauce. The highlight of the breadsticks was the fluffiness! They were light and fluffy instead of those really dense ones. I ate the whole box and didn't have a stomach ache! Good first experience. I can't believe I never tried it before. I'll get a pizza or something next time!"
"I can't believe I went my whole life without even knowing about this place until last year. The ice cream is phenomenal. It's not your average self-serve. It's rich, creamy, and so flavorful. The portions - goodness gracious. It's probably the only time I can ever order a small and it's still more than enough. Very wide selection of options including Dole whip!!!"
"Ice cream should be served all year round anyway so the fact that they are open in the winter is deserving of 5 stars. When you walk in, there are about 6 seats so not much for sitting but in the summer, you don't need it but in the winter you can eat in the car I think. I got two scoops one of chocolate almonds and strawberry. Chocolate almond had sooo many almonds and strawberry had so many almonds. The scoops were so big. It was the perfect amount of ice cream for me. It was decently priced for what I ordered. The ice cream is out with labels so you can see all the flavors. I think there was at least 20 options to pick from. They also had yogurt too but I didn't have any. The parking is first come first serve on the street. There are a lot of other places to eat or drink, so it's hit or miss for parking."
"Is it the best pizza. No, but it's good enough and the toppings stay on the pizza unlike cappezuttos. Rialtos is quick, has a nice enough eating area, high chairs, and beer."
"Really tasty subs. The cheesesteaks are as good as advertised. Their chicken cheesesteak which they call is very good also. It's their version of a BBQ chicken sub or a Buffalo chicken sub if you're curious why there isn't a Buffalo chicken sub on the menu it's the chicken cheesesteak and then you can add the sauces you want to make it a Buffalo chicken. The staff is very friendly and good to have conversation with. It's take out only but the staff is quick with making the subs and they are very quality. The subs however arent overly filling and pretty easy to finish. The prices of the subs might be a tiny bit high also but the taste is worth it. Overall a very quality sub shop"

The atmosphere is top notch. They are celebrating their one hundred year anniversary and have plenty of items throughout the shop that are a walk in time. Everything is handmade and delicious. They even have a kid center to keep the kiddos entertained while you wait for your order. We love it here!

My husband and I have tried this place a few times and still have not found a good tasting coffee. Some days the coffee is burnt and undrinkable. They have a cute spot and a big menu. We are hoping we will find something here soon.

Celebrated Ice Cream Day at Happy Day Dessert Factory! I live a half mile away so we always walk to HD. It's on Western Ave. right on the Northside. I am a sucker for custard so that is all I've ever gotten! It's so good! My fiancé gets a Twister with their almond milk soft serve & cookie dough bites. I love that they have dairy free options in good/regular flavors. Some other places only have wild DF options lol. They also have homemade hard ice cream, water ice and more. There is seating inside but since we walk, we always have our dog with us & it is not dog friendly inside so we haven't had the chance to sit and eat in. It's always good service & so happy to support a local Black-owned business!

Pig in the park pizza is so damn delicious!! The crust was nice and thin but not too thin that it's crispy. The toppings were generous. Value for price is excellent. Suffice to say, pizza was good.

"First visit thanks to my daughter's recommendations. She could not believe how fabulous all of the salsa dips tasted, and clued me in to this newer taco eatery. However, today was not a salsa day for me because I discovered that Penn State Creamery Ice Cream is also available here, so ice cream ruled. There were 3 flavors available, and usually change once the next Penn State trip occurs to replenish as needed. The shop itself is small, but very quaint, cool, and inviting. The owner was exceptionally friendly, and well-equpped to start, and maintain lively conversation about his background, travels, and the passion he has when it comes to creating healthy, and tasteful products and meals . It is a family run operation, and he and his wife are working hard to offer the community quality food in a comfortable setting. I look forward to the next visit to give the tacos, and salsas a try, and to find out what new ice cream flavors await me."
"Quite a remarkable ice cream shop that also offers Boba Tea, Coffee, and more. The service is excellent and the ice cream is very good. I got the waffle bowl, which was 8 dollars with 2 scoops, but it was so unique, I had to try it.The ambiance is hip, with music playing by Kage Ni Natte when I walked in the door. It sounded like a streaming service, and I loved the variety. There is ample free parking, but it took me some time to find the front door."
"I keep seeing various friends pictures of cakes from scoops so when it was time for my birthday I needed to scoops birthday cake! I opted for the half cake half ice cream birthday cake and it did not disappoint. Delicious. Was able place order in the morning and pick up same day ! Cake was huge and amazing"
"You can always rely on Shake Shack for a good burger and shake that goes down a little too easily, and this location is no different. One of my favorite things about this particular spot is that you place your order on a tablet, which allows you to easily see all the customization options they offer. My favorite customization is hot peppers - they go great on nearly everything they have! I particularly love adding them to their cheese fries (which are delicious) and on my burger. Though you have to get a burger if it's your first time, they also make a surprisingly delicious grilled cheese as well as good chicken bites! Of course, a milkshake is a necessity as well - my favorite is their black & white, modeled after the famous NY black and white cookies! Overall, it's definitely worth stopping by if you haven't had the fortune of trying Shake Shack before!"
"How do you review an ice cream shop? Got a scoop on Graham Central Station on a waffle cone and loved it - sweet with crunchy pieces of Graham wirh honey and chocolate bits. The guy behind the counter was really nice, and they do take cards. I think they had toppings and syrups available but I kept mine simple. I enjoyed this place and would come back to try more flavors next time I'm in the neighborhood."
"This place is soooo cute!!! I was actually walking to lunch when I saw this place and I had to go in and try their ice cream. Since it was a hot day, I decided to try their vanilla ice cream root beer float. The root beer hit just the spot - it was light, crisp, and refreshing. The ice cream was amazing too, as it held its form in the root beer and didn't melt too fast. The composition of the ice cream was interesting, as it had a stretch, which I thought was so cool. They have a lot of options to choose from, ranging from coffee to homemade sundaes."
"I found this spot on the map after a day at the beach when I was looking for "roadside attractions" to take my daughter to on our way home. We have visited nearby lake Aurthur at Moraine State Park a dozen times but never knew this gem was hidden right next door!Just five minutes down the road from the park, you will meet one of the biggest snowmen you have ever seen. This snowman survives the summer by dishing out "yeti" sized cups of shaved iced in any flavor imaginable. In addition, the menu also includes shakes, cones, sundaes and doggy ice cream cups complete with a milk bone. My daughter chose a unicorn, or rainbow, shaved ice which came with a candy horn. I was feeling basic and settled for cherry shaved ice. The price was great and the ice was even better! Alongside the snowman is a few tables with umbrellas for visitors to sit and eat. Also, in the corners of the lot are a few beautiful wooden swings which make for the perfect ice eating ambience on summer nights. We are huge fans of quirky places and yetis so this ice cream shop is everything we love. This will definitely be a necessary stop for us everytime we are in the area!"
"Tastyland is indeed quite tasty. Made a stop a few days ago, ordered the cheeseburger, fries and apple cider milkshake. The burger is delicious - drippy and messy with the perfect amount of condiments. It's absolutely what a burger should be. Fries are hot and crispy. The milkshake tasted as if a whole slice of apple pie was blended in. It's staffed with mostly high schoolers and they do a great job. Polite and efficient. All seating is outside, and we found a spot near the hillside where we could view the beautiful Pennsylvania fall colors."
"What is there not to like? My wife and I have been here on several occasions now. Typically we have our dogs along and Bruster's has a small treat for them. My wife love's ice cream, but I think the dogs may have her beat. On our last trip I ordered a small cup (2 scoops) of chocolate raspberry truffle and chocolate pecan. I really liked both of the flavors, and I think chocolate raspberry truffle might be my favorite of all there (this wasn't my first time ordering it). Bruster's has solid ice cream and the price is alright. A small cone/cup is almost more than I would want to eat, and I am always happy with the flavors. They do a good job rotating the flavors and typically have at least 10-15 available at a time to try."
"Fast service convenient and spacious area to just hangout and enjoy your treat! Ice cream is delicious."
"Allegheny Ice Cream is really good! We were visiting the area, and the ice cream shop I had originally wanted to visit was closed, so we randomly found this spot, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise!I opted for a double scoop in a waffle cone, and the ice cream was absolutely delicious! Especially the pumpkin flavor I had (our visit was in October). Plus, as an added bonus, the views from the spot are awesome! If you're in the area and hankering for some ice cream, Allegheny Ice Cream is a great spot to check out!"
"Meadows custard is so delicious! If you haven't tried it yet, you must! Lots of options for how you like your ice cream such as milk shake, sundae, etc. Service is quick especially through the drive through. There are a few tables inside for seating as well. Typical interior of any ice cream shop you might expect! Totally worth checking it out if you like ice cream!"
"Of all the breakfast places I eat at this is the best. Very flavorful with big portions. I get the ham and cheese omelette w/potatoes and toast. Very good! The blueberry pancakes are awesome. Ice tea fresh brewed too. The staff is more like good friends.I'm soooo spoiled by this place it's hard to go anywhere else for breakfast."
"Awesome little ice cream shop. The menu does include got dogs, burgers, hoagies, salads, etc. The staff was super.friendly and very fast. I was looking for some delicious ice cream and definitely found it. I had a medium twist on a waffle cone. The ice cream was great as well as the cone. I will definitely be back to try some of the other flavors and highly recommend."
"This was a nice find in Forest Hills! There aren't really many small businesses in the area and this locally owned ice cream shop is worth stopping in. They have a great selection of unique flavors and also have pints you can buy. The chocolate waffle cones are tasty! The service was great and the inside is nice if you have a small kid with you. It's worth a stop!"
"If every business owner took notes from this place, on how to customer service , they'd have a lot more business. The place was busy, but not 10 deep at the window. I was in line for about 15 min. I ordered, a milk shake and a cone. When I went to pay, the guy refused to take my money. His reply was, you stood in line for 15-20 min and said you can pay next time. I thanked him. Over n Over"
"this ppl are going as hard as they can considering there's a line out the wahoo every time ya look at this place. flavors are pretty wicked don't mind that other chick who said they weren't that good. she ain't know. my cookies and cream milkshake was basic but delicious. i wanted to try the shirley temple sorbet but cowardice is my fatal flaw. 5/5"
"We were on our way to dinner with friends and drove past Frosty Cone. We decided we would stop on the way home and are so happy that we did. The menu was large, prices incredibly reasonable and service friendly. We tried the custard which was full of flavor, a cyclone with Oreos and cookie dough which had the perfect ratio, a cone with cherry dip which delicious, a cone with sprinkles and most fun - an oatmeal cookie ice cream sandwich which was huge! The portions are generous and there are so many different things to try, we look forward to coming back next time we are in the area"
"Let me start by saying that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this location, it's easy to get to and there's tons of parking; what IS wrong here is the butter pecan ice cream. I've never in my entire adult life have disregarded any ice cream at any time. Along with the chaos and hell of the past two years, I experienced another layer of such and had to throw my creamy dairy treat from the clutches of my waffle cone. I exclaimed in disgust, an outcry bellowed from the deepest part of my core to perform such an act which I did so only out of sheer necessity. It was that bad. What made it so was the utterly horrible and ENORMOUS pecans, where did they find these things and why would they assume anyone would want proteins this large in their ice cream?!?They were overwhelming, literally stamped out the creaminess of the ice cream and assaulted the flavor of the waffle cone. A crime against my taste buds and daily caloric intake. Alas, the waffle cone was fantastic so I will give Bruster's four stars until my next visit when I sample another flavor."
"My son and my boyfriend and I love this place! We spent the afternoon at Mingo Creek and then decided to stop here for a late evening meal. First off, the food was amazing and very affordable! The staff was super friendly and attentive and checked on us and made some good conversation. The owner told us that they even do projected movies in the back of the restaurant outdoors! It's a great view out back, too. I can't say enough great things about Twist & Shake. I've been going here for years and will continue to as often as we can!"
"This is a simple donut shop with friendly people and great, simple donuts. Not a massive number of varieties, but about 10-12 when I went in on an early weekday morning. I think that's perfect because you don't have fomo when you choose a half dozen! I think the yeasted glazed donuts were better than the cake donuts, but sometimes that's a personal preference. Would go again! Didn't get to try the ice cream this time so can't speak to that part."
"Cute place , even have a kids area. Great sundaes and the twist soft serve was super as well.the staff member wa helpful and very nice . Would definitely stop again."
"Love Casciola's, perfect road trip for soft serve! A summertime favorite for us. It's a little out of the way but if you'd like a little summer drive it's perfect. What else is there to say about a place that does soft serve and does it right?"
