"We were very disappointed in thus place. It not only took 1.5 hrs my family couldn't even eat their salads because it was wilted. We originally went here because we wanted to sit at the balcony that overlooks the river which was really nice. However it was smoking and I could not bring my kids on there so we had to eat inside. The only thing that I really enjoyed was that they had a blooming onion which was pretty tasty. It also took a very long time to get refills on our drinks and even get any type of service. I will say we will not be going back."
"I'm going to split my review in 2Golf:Great! The course is in great shape and is challenging. The views across the valley can be lovely - you may get more sniffs of nature than you desire on certain holes, but that factors into the ambiance. Clubhouse:Bad. The clubhouse is extremely dated and not very well maintained. I doubt any upgrades have been made since it was built. Pro for me though - clubouse dogs! Some very old very sweet labs are there (as of 2022)"
"Great little town diner with fantastic and friendly service. I had the hungry man breakfast that came with eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns and one XL pancake! The food was delivered fast & hot and everything was delicious!"
"I actually really enjoyed staying at the Embassy Suites here in downtown Pittsburgh. This would've been a five-star experience had there been hot water available! Yeah, ya kinda, really, gotta have hot water for a shower in the winter! Embassy Suites in downtown Pittsburgh is in the old Henry Oliver building, which was built in 1910 as an office building of Henry Oliver's steel and coal operations. It's registered as a historic landmark and you can very much tell of its past time, given the structure and design of the building. You can even see and walk in the old vault on the lobby level. On the 25th floor is where the concierge, reception and breakfast service, gym and a bar and restaurant are located. The free reception for guests was nice, with free wine, beer and well drinks, with cheeses, hummus and nuts. The breakfast service was good, too, with the omelet station and hot food items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, in addition to pastries, fruit yogurt, cereal, etc. The hotel room was very nice. I loved how comfortable the bed was; it was hard to wake up, especially with the blackout drapes. Our room had a nice view of the city and there was a separate room for the living room space with a fridge, coffee maker, wet bar, and there were TVs in the living room space and bedroom. Again, the hotel had everything I needed except for the hot water, especially during the winter. When asked about this with the staff, they said the entire building had this issue, so there wasn't anything that could be done about this. A con of being in a historic building, I guess. Besides the lack of hot water for showering, this is a good stay in downtown Pittsburgh. The location is awesome as it's walking distance to many restaurants and bars, and the amenities and comfortable space here was great."
"This is a nice hotel with good proximity to the conference that I was attending. The rooms were large and well appointed. The HVAC system worked well and the shower was spacious. The room had good Internet connectivity and the TV had options to log into one's Internet entertainment accounts. The valet service was also efficient. Good overall hotel."
"the hotel is interestingly appointed. big lobby lots of places to hang out. spacious as heck. friendly staff. we had a couple of good hours at the bar last night.the elevators are weird. very quiet. one of two always not working. the lobby is not on street level (L) but on floor 5. the hotel is o two levels only. take the stars to floor 6 in the middle of the lobbythe rooms are spacious and have work out equipment. very handy. beds comfy. housekeeping forgot to fill the soaps which was very very inconvenient while in the shower!liberal outlets was excellent.and, of course the location in pittsburgh is brilliant. right smack near market square and a short 10 min walk to the cultural district - probably 20 min to PNC Park. all flat or nearly so.parking is $29 if u pay at the hotel; $28 if you pay at the garage across the street. weird. the hotel should charge $15!!!! other parking would be on street.all things considered we'd come back.the rating is a 4 because of the elevator slowness and outage; and housekeeping not paying attention. the problem with a small thing like no soap is ... it reflects on wider aspects of the whole room! you wonder 'what else might be unclean or broken but look okay?'"
"Had a great time the only issue smoking was allowed everywhere in the casino. There was a non-smoking very small area. Limited tables. Probably because of Covid and they are not at full staff yet."
"I forgot to take any pictures but wanted to rate this hotel. We arrived around midnight and the owner/desk clerk was so ins and accommodating to us. He even brought us a roll away bed that he made himself. The room was nice, clean and quiet. I would stay here again."
"I came in after a failure of a weekend. The water on the gheny' is a little too high so the outfitters cancelled on me, then the hardcore rainfall before getting the camp site settled in resulted in the trip being cut short. I know Marienville is not a premier destination but Kelly's Hotel is a must stop, especially if you are hungry and want something more delicious than Fox's pizza or any other fast food. I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and it was LATHERED with the thickest, most delicious gravy. Potatoes and everything was home made. Grandma's cooking at an affordable price. Sometimes I feel like I eat like I have two assholes, and the Kelly Hotel definitely provided portions to that effect. There's a cool bar next door as well that is also part of the hotel. If you are coming through, stop here."
"I almost wrote of the Hotel Indigo chain as there have been quite a few that have not been that great. This location in Pittsburgh was definitely the best Hotel Indigo I've seen. I try and stay at IHG properties as their rewards program rocks. The lobby was massive and had an industrial theme based on the old steel mills of Pittsburgh. There was seating and work tables and stations so you could get some things done. The rooms were also quite large and had a loft feel to them. The tall windows provided a great view and the bathroom was new and the shower was great. The internet was also good for video calls and such. The onsite restaurant was also pretty good. There's nothing super close, but when the weathers nice, a 15 minute walk across the hot metal bridge would put you right into the thick of things. There's even a 6th floor patio which would be cool to hang out if it wasn't December. And the dude at the front desk was super friendly too when I arrived just before 11a.This hotel was off my radar, but I'd stay here again, even if I wasn't heading to Oakland in the morning. Get yourself a bottle of Indoggo Gin and enjoy yourself!"
"I spent one night at the Comfort Inn, downtown Pittsburgh. Hotel is on the outskirts of downtown/North Shore. It really isn't in the thick of things if you are looking for that in your location. Hotel is less than two years old, so it still has anew feeling to it.I was quickly greeted by the man at the front desk. Within a few minutes, check-in was complete and I was given a room on the fifth floor (2 Queen Bed/Suite). Room was a fair size, bed was comfortable, even had a double sink in the bathroom. Room appeared to be clean.Pool was closed for maintenance, and breakfast (eggs and sausage) was fine. They have a shuttle (active until 7:30 on a Saturday night) up to three miles away which was nice. Parking is 14.00 per night and the lot is right behind the hotel.Overall if I needed a hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh, depending on my activities, I would certainly consider staying here."
"COVID-19 Review.Booking was very simple. We stayed one night for my birthday, and the hotel itself is beautiful! The rooms have fireplaces, high ceilings, and ours even had a clawfoot bathtub. Like any hotel, we were able to hear guests above us, but other than that it was built very well, so we were unable to hear any road traffic (we stayed in the smaller, red mansion). During COVID, there wasn't anything exciting happening in the bar, or lobby. I would love to come back when the hotel has events for guests again. We were able to walk to dinner, this hotel is very close to the heart of Shadyside which is bumping with shops and restaurants. The worst part about our stay, there was no breakfast provided so we had to order grub hub delivery (not really room service, lol) also, we were woken up to the smell of cigarette smoke from the room above us. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they sort of just brushed it off by saying "I thought I smelled smoke this morning." Sort of disappointing, but out of the hotel's control. If you are someone looking for an historic place to stay, within walking distance to some really great restaurants, I would highly recommend Mansions on Fifth. In addition, they also host weddings and parties here. The mansions themselves are not huge, so you could ideally host your whole wedding here, and fill up all of the guest rooms exclusively with your guests."

We loved this, even though we were here after golf season; it was the perfect place to stop on our way across the state. Accommodations are simple but clean, updated and comfortable. Beautiful golf course opened by former Pirates Jerry Lynch and #DickGroat fifty years ago -still a Pittsburgh "must play". I gave it five stars not because it is perfect, but I love the homespun feeling and applaud a family-owned business that has endured for so long.

BEST PANCAKES EVER. Forget IHOP. This little family owned restaurant pumps out the most fluffy with that slight crisp on the edges, mouth watering, old fashion style, grilled dough ever. Goldie locks would say they were the perfect, not too thick and not too thin. Their prices are really good too. You can get a full breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, and these delicious pancakes for a really good price! (I can't remember how much exactly). They're syrup is also delicious. They actually give you syrup. Not colored Karo syrup like some places. Other food is pretty good as well, but these pancakes, oh my gosh! The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is their service is lousy. The waitresses act like it's the worst job in the world. Seem put out by anything you ask. They're just rude and don't care. Which saves me money though because I don't feel bad with leaving a lousy tip.

This Embassy Suites by Hilton is located in the top floors of the Henry W. Oliver building in downtown Pittsburgh. This hotel is within walking distance of the subway and many restaurants and other businesses. Its amenities include free buffet breakfast and evening drinks, Ollie's Gastropub, room service, fitness center, indoor swimming pool, business center and meeting rooms, pet-friendly rooms for a fee, valet parking for $45 per night, etcetera. My husband and I stayed here for two weekend nights in the winter. The total price was a few hundred dollars. We did not want to pay for a valet employee to park our vehicle in a public garage, so we parked at a garage ourselves. The employees at the front desk promptly and courteously did our check-in and check-out. We joined the free Hilton Honors program to get free WiFi.Our room was nicely decorated, clean, quiet, and comfortable. I noticed that our bathroom had some peeling wallpaper, a light that did not turn on, and a gap near the shower door that let water out. Otherwise, our room was in excellent condition. We had no problems with the bed, couch, television, and mini kitchen. We ate the free buffet breakfast one time, and we enjoyed the omelets, bacon, cereals, oatmeals, pastries, fruits, yogurts, and more.

I had been wanting to stay at this hotel for years and I finally was able to! It was the perfect space for a staycation. The college students were home for the summer, so Oakland itself was not super busy. I stayed in the studio suite with view. I cannot stress how beautiful this suite (and the views) are. The suite is also very spacious. The bathroom had a tub and separate shower. I love how the bed is in the middle of the room, overlooking the floor to ceiling windows. To top it off, they have Le Labo toiletries! This hotel stay felt very luxurious! Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Quick trip for two nights. The front desk person Kevin I believe his name was friendly, efficient and polite. I like the idea of safety from the rest of the public which doesn't allow just anyone to walk in. The layout is great. The fitness theme to work well for them. I was disappointed that it was family or kid friendly. The rooms are health and fitness oriented as well. Definitely recommend to everyone look for a quick stay in down town Pittsburgh.

Haven't been to many casinos, but this one looked about as good as any other. A boatload of slot machines of all types, colors, and sizes, along with a few tables of blackjack. Roulette, and craps. The cigarette smoke situation was not good though - probably the biggest turnoff for me returning. Also, finding help or sometimes take a drink order while you played was non-existent. Otherwise, I still had a fun time with my wife and friends that evening.

"What a beautiful course! The staff are really helpful and easy to work with. Cassidy, the supervisor was knowledgeable and great to work with. I traveled from Ohio and wanted to play while I was out of town. Setting up a tee time over the phone was simple and easy. Even though I arrived a few minutes late they were chill and let me get out right away. I even forgot a jacket a cigar clip holder and they went to look for each on my behalf."
"I stayed at the Priory Hotel in Pittsburgh for three nights/four days for my friend's wedding weekend. She set up a group reservation for guests, so I booked under that over the phone. It was an easy registration process and I received my confirmation over email. I checked in on a Thursday afternoon and checked out Sunday morning. Overall, I had a great time during my stay there. They offered complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and shuttle service. The woman working the front desk was friendly and a local, so she offered advice and directions about the immediate area and Pittsburgh in general. The Priory Hotel was a former abbey. It was converted into a hotel/inn but still has all the architectural flourishes of a community home for monks and nuns (the hotel bar is named "Monk's Bar"). There's a gym room in the basement (G level); the business center (computer and printer you can use) and conference room is on the G level also. I thought the gym was well equipped, and there was a water dispenser and TV down there also. I had a standard sized room, which was a comfortable size for two people. We had a flat screen TV, coffee maker, and a decent amount of clothing storage (dresser and wardrobe). Our window had a view of Pressley Street. I was within walking distance of a pharmacy, supermarket, and some restaurants and a bar. I walked to Allegheny Commons Park in the mornings. I would stay at the Priory again during future visits to Pittsburgh."
"The room was amazing. Comfy bed, modern decor, beautiful bathroom. The wheelhouse restaurant is average at best, but the happy hour ain't bad. We were a bit disappointed that there was nothing open late at the casino to get food."
"I am bummed. This was our third time and really disappointed to say that the experience wasn't as good as the first two times. The service was still really good, it was my steak that was awful. I ordered the NY Strip and it was fatty and had a huge nerve running through it making it tough to cut and chew. I decided to send it back and the steak that came back out was WORSE! As a result, I had no dinner. On the flip side, my mom got the salmon and she said it was delicious. I also got the Caprese salad and it was really yummy so not all bad! I did find out they have a new chef so I think it's safe to say it has had an impact."
"We were looking for overnight lodging for Fallingwater the next morning. It was about a 45-min drive from here. Carol was the only one that got back to us right away and with rooms available.Having to arrive pretty late after a 5-6 hour drive from Manhattan, she gave us specific instructions on how enter the house after everyone's gone to bed. Since it was only an overnight stay (meaning sleep for about 6 hours and a shower in the morning), we went for the bridal suite anyway for a price difference of less than $20 for one of the other rooms. The only thing that separates this room from others was the sunk in tub; it was amazing! The bathroom itself was the size of the bedroom, maybe even bigger! Breakfast was so good (especially her mixed fruit muffins) and we had a kitty to entertain us. Carol was a terrific hostess and loved her story behind the photo taking.Watch out for the hedgehogs and/or porcupines!"
"Lisa and Greg were amazing hosts!! Beautiful rooms and dining areas throughout. My family and I had a great stay at Doone's Inn"
"This is a gorgeous mansion in the heart of Ligonier. Warm and inviting, this is the quintessential B&B. Main Street USA is right outside the front door of this place. Awesome.I had never really noticed the house in my many visits to Ligonier. But this time, my friend's house was overflowing so he booked me a room in this gorgeous bed and breakfast. We checked in kind of late on Thanksgiving day, so I felt like a schmuck knowing I had interrupted post-feast football. I had to call the owner/manager at home. But he came to give me the room in about 5 minutes. He had the keys ready and showed me to my room. I kept apologizing but he had no problem with my showing up so late -- the phone number was posted on the window for late check ins.The rooms are quiet and well equipped. The private bathroom is large, clean and comfortable. The bed was a little bit of heaven. Breakfast was in the main room downstairs that has multiple small tables, couches and chairs. Your choice of anything on the menu is included with the room. I had oatmeal because I had eaten myself into a coma the day before. The oatmeal was rather good. There is a large parking lot around the back of the building, keeping the front lawn open to the small town American Main Street of old Ligonier. It is a perfect slice of history...the snow is falling outside and as much as I dislike cold, I'd love to spend a month here."
"Pros:Amber was very efficient and professional when she checked me inAmple meeting spaces and comfortable guest roomsEnjoyed reading about the history of this hotelLiked the light at the base of the nightstand that had a sensorFriendly, efficient staffGreat downtown location Cons:Hotel fees are outrageous, but they have a captive audience$45 for valet parking$75 early check in feePro tip:Great location if walkability is important. Many restaurants are nearby."
"The best service, ambiance and experience you'll have. The staff was courteous, welcoming and made it their mission to ensure that we had a great visit. The food was excellent! I cannot believe the view, the scenery is unparalleled. Thanks to everyone at the lodge for your excellent hospitality."
"I've decided that even though I don't live too far away, I will be spending an overnight in the Laurel Highlands area every summer for some outdoor activities. I was pleased with Log Cabin Lodge and Suites location and price at first and was pleased again with my room and stay once I got there so it seems this will be my go-to place. I booked a stay in a simple room for one night. My primary focus was cost and location, but they do offer a few perks like discounts at Living Treasures. They also offer free breakfast, though it's not that impressive (mostly cold cereal, some yogurt, toast). Luckily there are a few places nearby for some good coffee. My room was comfortable and cozy and I had a good night's sleep. I only heard the animals when I went outside the next morning (I'm not sure if my room location had something to do with that since I was farther away and closer to the road). The bathroom was well stocked. I enjoyed the outdoorsy lodge motif as well. Cell service was spotty, though, so free wifi would definitely be a good addition."
"So I always heard good things about Sunnyledge but never stopped in until I went there my junior year at CMU. Biggest mistake of my first 2 years. And yes, I had a fake ID so I could get into most places. Well, Sunnyledge is kind of a bed and breakfast type lodging but on Fridays from 6-8, they have their happy hour. 1/2 price Martinis. These martinis are unbelievable. They are pretty strong and taste delicious. They have so many different martini's on their menu so just choosing one/two/three/four will take a bit of time to decide each time you re-order.So the martini comes in a regular martini glass. Well, you also get the leftover martini mix poured into a small glass container. They put dry ice in your glass before they pour your drink so the drink actually starts to bubble and puff up whisps of smoke which is so cool. There is also a larger piece of dry ice in your glass container which keeps your extra martini cool until you're ready to drink it. Once your finished the first glass, you pour what's in the container into your martini glass and voila, it comes out to a second martini. Granted that these martini's are kind of expensive, on half price happy hour, you are pretty much getting 2 martini's for the price of one. They also have a free tiny buffet appetizer where they have different things each time. I've had cheese and crackers, bruschetta, cole cuts crackers and cheese, etc..The menu isn't too bad either. I had their duck wrap and sliders one time. The fries were different. Not bad. but not exceptional. The only issue I have with the food is that the servings are really small and aren't worth the money you spend on it but if you go there on an empty stomach and end up ordering 4 martini's (8 total drinks) then you will need to get something to eat."
"We were on vacation and decided to stay here. The cost was $80 for a room with two beds. It's your basic hotel. There was a closet with a lot of space to but your clothes. I like that the beds had a lot of pillows. The beds were pretty comfortable. There was a microwave and mini refrigerator so over we had a good experience."
"It was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, so I'm not sure how it compares to other ones but everything was great! The house was built in 1870's and has been kept in pristine condition - it definitely sets the atmosphere and mood for the place. Each room has its' own "theme", I stayed in Chenille with a huge tub and an antique sink, the shower was alright - very low water pressure and took forever to warm up.Ed runs Parador along with two friendly dogs (that don't go past the kitchen, so no biggie if you're allergic). He's very hospitable and told me a few bits about the city and it's history in the morning. Breakfast was good - coffee, oj, banana bread and yogurt parfait, and a whole-wheat veggie egg wrap served with bacon, sour cream and bean/salsa thing. I'd highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting."
"We continue to be impressed every time we stay at a Kimpton. We only stayed here for one night while we were on a long road trip, but we found this hotel to be delightful and relaxing... exactly what we wanted. Like all the other Kimptons, the hotel is decorated in fun, bright, bold colors. There were a lot of fun little touches, from the flower murals in the hallways to the bright aqua doors. Also, the fact that the Kimptons are all pet-friendly and do not charge you to bring your four-legged family members still amazes me every time. This hotel was super dog-friendly. Everyone we met was really excited to see our dogs and treated them like special guests. I was delighted when the bellman offered to have a loaner dog bed brought up for us and bowls for the dogs. My only complaint is that there is like nowhere for the dogs to go potty. My husband said there was a dog relief area but I never found it. There are a couple of offices with lawns a few blocks away but the grass is all fenced off. I saw one guy holding his pet's leash from the sidewalk while his dog went on the grass. I also want to give a shout out to the staff. They were super friendly to our dogs, and they were overly helpful. When we needed silverware because our Door Dash order didn't have any, they brought us real plates, full silverware sets, cloth napkins, etc. We would definitely return."
"I have been meaning to come to The Hotel Saxonburg for over a decade, ever since I read an article about old spots like it, but I don't live close and it took me until now to get here. There were enough really recent negative reviews to make me wonder if it was worth it, but I took a chance and dove in. Really glad I did: the place was packed on a Friday night, and it was easy to see why: good food; strong cocktails; and somebody who took the time to pull draft Guinness properly (there are probably fewer than a dozen places in Western PA that do that; this is one). The bad reviews on here seem to be mostly: a) people who came on a holiday or as part of a huge group; or b) people who remember this place from 10 or 20 years ago and don't think that the HS of today matches their memories. I'm willing to believe them, but as a neutral non-local who came on a regular Friday night, I had a good experience. Would gladly do it again if life brings me back to Saxonburg."
"Bed and Breakfast. Terrific hosts, an excellent site for discovering Gettysburg, beautiful, peaceful property. We selected a room apart from the.main house on the first floor with both a front and rear entrance. The front porch complete with wooden rocking chairs; the back exit a large patio with four.tables and accompanying chairs. Plenty of.shade and relaxing garden. We spent two nights heading back to CLE via Shanksville (Flt 93) and Johnstown (1880's Flood). I referred to this as our Vacation of Death) Gettysburg, 5000; Shanksville, 40, Johnstown, 2000! Gettysburg brought tears to.my eyes as I thought of all these young lives lost to man's stupidity. Fly 93's heroics and Johnstown's resilience. On the upside, we saw Flank Loyd Wright's. "Falling Water" and spent two nights at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, which BTW is a 5 Star."
"Having stayed at most of the Marriott properties in downtown Pittsburgh, I was excited to check out The Industrialist, an Autograph hotel. The hotel's developers converted a 1912 skyscraper into a 124-room boutique hotel. I received a warm welcome when I arrived on Sunday. Given my Marriott status, I received a too upgrade and a voucher for a cocktail at the hotel's ground floor restaurant/bar called The Rebel Room. My room on the ninth floor looked out towards the river, probably about five blocks away. The rooms aren't huge, but are super comfort and beautifully decorated. I loved the rainforest shower, but just wished it had a bit more pressure. Located in the Arts District, the hotel is in a prime location to lots of restaurants, shopping and performing arts. It's also one block away from the PNC Bank corporate headquarters. The Rebel Room has a small dining footprint and a limited menu. My Steak Frites were perfectly prepared and served quickly. I was really surprised by the spacious workout room and variety of equipment available. At the end of my stay, I just liked the vibe this place has, plus its super friendly staff."
"Cute hotel, and only $59 on a Sunday night. Big room and I love the vintage bathroom! Comfy beds, AC works good as long as you move the curtain or if the way. Fridge & microwave, but no in room coffee. Great location right in town!"
"Upon a late return to the city I did not fell like driving the whole way home after spending most of my day in the air or at other airports. I knew I would feel this way before leaving so I booked my stay hear well in advance. With my flight landing after 9 and having to get through the airport and out of the lot I was a rather late check in here. But not to worry, they were ready for me.Biggest headache here, parking. Being in the Lawrenceville section of the sitting, parking is always a nightmare. They do have a lot where they charge to park, or you can attempt to find a spot somewhere in the neighborhood and hope your vehicle is still there come morning. I opted to park in the lot, but under one condition. I was fine with paying the fee to park, but I did not want a valet in my vehicle. They honored this and I was able to park my own car and keep my keys, however, I was told where to park by the valet.Check in went smoothly and I was heading up to my room in a no time. I really enjoy that this used to be a school in the area before being converted into a hotel. There are still touches of the school throughout, like the lockers in the hallway (you can't open them, I tried, I was being nebby). The room with its artwork and dark colors on the wall felt very much like being in a classroom with blackboards all around. Even the window covering were black to block out the light. It was a rather small room, but still managed to be comfortable. King sized bed with floating end tables on both sides. Open storage, desk, tv, all against the other wall. The bathroom was accommodating enough, spacious and the shower was kind of relaxing with the shower head. I definitely got a good night's rest here.I do have to say, the view was pretty spectacular as well. I had a room facing the neighborhood and right outside I had a view of a mural of Tom Savini. Kind of awesome. It also made it feel like you weren't out of place either."
