"I really enjoyed the ambience of this place and great food. We were seated in the basement which turned out to be nice and cool with great decor and lighting. It felt like we were in a speakeasy bar. The waiter was incredible. He did not only check in on us frequently, but he was very thorough in his recommendations. We ordered the spread which consisted of three different dishes and chickpea bread. My favorite was hummus followed by the pepper thing. I don't remember exactly the names. I didn't get to try the main dish as I was completely full after the spread, but they had a variety of pescatarian dishes and a few vegetarian. If you are a vegan, it would be a bit difficult to find something unless you want to go for some salads. Overall, I enjoyed dinner. I'd recommend to come with empty stomachs to enjoy several dishes."
"Fantastic food! Wide selection of options that made me want to come back multiple times to try everything.I had the appetizer platter to get a sampling of everything, the avgolemono soup, and the bougatsa. All delicious, though the bougatsa wasn't quite what I expected. Still yummy!Top notch service. They gave me about 4 sets of cutlery even though I was just one person. A little overkill but very thoughtful. Definitely worth a visit."

"I was so impressed by the food here! To find authentic Greek food with all the ingredients freshly made in house is almost unheard of. But to find a Greek place that makes their own gluten-free pita and bread: that's on a whole other level. The flavor was wonderful in everything and I would definitely eat here again. Service is a little bit slow, but totally worth it, because everything is made fresh."
"Wonderful, wonderful restaurant! Food is excellent!! Service is superb and the atmosphere is a history of Christo. So glad we made a spontaneous decision to go here."
"Very good gyros and a lot of food for the money. Good friendly service, gave our group of 8 adequate attention. Recommended!"
"Stopped in with the family for an early dinner after running errands in Wexford. When we showed up we were the only in/restaurant patrons, but they took several calls for orders too so it seems like they must stay pretty busy. The two boys working looked to be about high school age and were friendly enough. We ordered a traditional gyro, crispy chicken gyro, chicken tenders and fries for the 4 of us. Total tab came out to about $30 bucks which isn't too bad when feeding 4. The fries were a generous portion and the gyros were a good size too so definitely come with an appetite! Only complaints were just the mess around every table, in the bathroom, sticky floors and soda pop fountain. It just feels like this place could use a little TLC and elbow grease to make it more pleasant for eating in."
"I'm a vegetarian and I love all the menu options! My go-to is the Greek salad, Greek fries and rice pilaf. The salads are always fresh, the fries are fresh cut and not greasy and the rice pilaf has so much flavor. Everyone is always friendly and the food is ready quickly."
"Heard about this awesome Greek place from a friend. Let me just say their Greek fries are out of this world. Hand cut with skin left on, with greek seasoning, feta crumbles and 2 dipping sauces, you can easily share these amongst 2 people.Let me just say, i have tried hand cut fries in my 30 years of eating, these were exceptional. The freshness, seasoning and feta with the dips, awesome. The pork yeero, lamb yeero and vegetarian wrap were also a big hit. Fresh taste and good portion size. The people working here enjoy what they do and crank out high quality food. You have to try for yourself.Great addition to the Bellevue neighborhood for sure."

Casbah is a gem for Mediterranean cuisine and one of the best spots to impress your date or enjoy a cozy evening out. The ambiance is intimate, with dim lighting that creates a warm, romantic vibe. The excellent service only adds to the experience--attentive and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing.Pro tip: Make a reservation. This place fills up fast, and for a good reason. What I Loved:Calamari: Incredibly crispy and perfectly seasoned, making it an ideal appetizer for sharing.Ricotta Cavatelli: Warm, comforting, and flavorful--definitely a standout pasta dish.Chiffon Cake: The perfect end to the meal. Moist, light, and not overly sweet. A must-try for dessert lovers!Overall, Casbah is a go-to for a delightful Mediterranean dining experience. I'll be back for another slice of that chiffon cake and to explore more of their menu!

An extraordinary Greek bakery with a passion for sharing great food and culture.I love everything about how this café is laid out, it's comfortable, cheerful, and a great place for conversation. There are many traditional foods here that I'm interested in experiencing, and they are all prepared with amazing craft and care. Not just a bakery, for example they serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday.I had a wonderful time talking with the staff, they were helpful and made some excellent recommendations. They were also generous in giving out samples.

A little piece of Greece in downtown Pittsburgh. The walls are decorated with memories and Greek music helped immerse us in the ambiance! We enjoyed all of our dishes, though it was strange to find banana in my salad! The service is a little slow, though we were served by Christo himself. We'll be coming back to try the famous Jackie O cake!

Food is absolutely fantastic, but you have to remember to print the coupon or they will not honor it and the food can be a little pricey

I am not usually a huge fan of this type of cuisine...or maybe I should say, it is not a cuisine I crave very often. I usually enjoy it when I eat it, but it is never my top pick. My husband wanted to try it out and it was good place to take our toddlers to, though the restaurant wasn't particularly clean. I got the traditional gyro pita and my husband got the crispy chicken. Mine was great. Nice flavors, with a pita full of toppings and sauce. My husbands was nothing special...while it still had a nice amount of toppings and sauce, the chicken was a frozen chicken patty (though they did fry it right then so it was hot and "fresh") but I wouldn't necessarily suggest getting that one. The service was quick and we had a nice meal.

Stopped in for lunch & grabbed the Gyro platter. $11. Nice big gyro sammich that could of used a bit more cucumber sauce. I forgot to hold the onions so it made my sandwich a bit off for my buds. The platter comes with fresh cut fries that were neutral on taste & quality. Definitely get cat-sup for those fries. A drink to wash it down is included so I grabbed a can of diet dew.

Evia was recommended by the Pittsburgh Foodies Group. Since I was in the area last evening, I decided to give it a go. I grew up in Jersey, & terribly miss the Green-owned diners with Greek menu options. I have a lot of Greek friends, been to Greece a few times, been to countless Greek fairs, & weddings, and so I feel like I am a good judge of Greek food. I was soooo excited to try Evia. Drumroll please - I'd say that the food was mediocre at best. I think it's probably as good as I'm going to get from PGH. I hate giving 3 stars since I love to support local restaurants but that's what I felt it deserved. I had the "Cretan Salad" which basically a the same thing as a Greek salad with big chunks of bread, a Gyro, & a serving of pastitsio. The pastitsio has a very thin layer of the Béchamel sauce, & the meat layer was minimal. The gyro wasn't anything to ride home about. I can't tell you how much I was excited about the Galaktoboureko but there was literally no custard! So all in all, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to Evia if you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine; if you want to satisfy a craving, or too lazy to cook and live in the area, this is a nice local option. I wouldn't recommend eating in; it's a small setting, kind of like a pizza joint. The tense cashier & staff appeared to be very stressed, and since it was an open setting, I witnessed the behind-the-scenes bossing around of the staff.

"Rodos Greek Cafe is truly a local gem in White Oak, PA! The menu is filled with Mediterranean classics, and everything we tried was fantastic. I ordered the marinated chicken pita sandwich, which was seasoned to perfection and packed with flavor. It came topped with fresh tomatoes and lettuce (I opted out of onions), and the combination was just perfect. We dined in, and though the space has several small tables set for four, the staff kindly combined two tables to accommodate our group of five. The service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. A heads up--Rodos is cash only, but thankfully, there's a bank with a 24-hour ATM right next door, so it was easy to grab cash before our meal.I can't wait to come back and try their desserts--next on my list is either the baklava or the baklava cheesecake. If you're in the area, definitely give Rodos Greek Cafe a try. It's a must for anyone craving authentic Mediterranean flavors!"
"I heard about this place a while ago and have been wanting to try it for a long time and finally stopped today for lunch to go. While the ambience might be a little lacking since this is situated inside a gas station it is definitely worth a visit!. The good is authentic, generous portions and friendly service. The owner & his brother were very friendly and welcoming....they let me try falafel since I had mentioned I never had it before. It was very good but I decided to go with the Gyro platter to go. This consisted of a generous portion of gyro meat over rice, a side salad, side of hummus, 2 pitas on the side and a generous portion of cucumber sauce. Let me tell you this cucumber sauce is amazing big hunks of fresh cucumber in it....the best I have had. I really enjoyed the side salad. The spices were just right on it! Would stop by again. Cash only!"
"Gyros portions are large- beware! My husband can usually eat 2 gyros and fries but the meal was so big he couldn't finish it. The fries are seasoned and so good too. I went and placed order for takeout (there really isn't space for dine in except a counter and couple stools) so food was hot and fresh when I got home. I also brought home some baklava, baklava cheesecake and grape leaves. There's some items ready made in the case like dessert, grape leaves and hummus. Really friendly service and both phone numbers posted on yelp work (one is old, one is new at their Irwin location). Posting the menu and will be back for sure!"
"This is my first visit and won't be my last. The service and food was excellent! I placed my order for Chicken Shawarma wrap, Spinach pie and Mouttabal dip and it was hot, fresh, and ready in less than 15 minutes. The check out process was quick. The food was phenomenal. The spinach pie was a nice appetizer size portion with ample amounts of seasoned juicy spinach with a tad bit of walnuts for texture. There were just the right amount of other ingredients to compliment the flavor from the spinach. The chicken shawarma wrap was a nice sized wrap with generous amounts of filling-chicken, sauces, pickle and not too much garlic. My favorite was the sauce, which reminded me of warm cream cheese. It was yummy! The mouttabal dip was cold, but had a great flavor and texture. The smokiness of the grilled eggplant, countered by the acidity made me want more. I highly recommend this place for fresh, friendly and authentic Middle Eastern 'Tasty' fast food."
"Was here a few weeks ago. I stumbled in, parched from a sweaty 20k run that was not going well. I needed a cold drink. Unfortunately, when I tried to pay I realized I only had my ID. Long story short, the girl was kind to give me the drink. Of course I didn't forget. I just came back to buy another Gatorade, and discovered this is a gyro shop. Listen, I was barely coherent that day, I thought I was going to die of a heat stroke or something. Anyhow, I came after my run and discovering that they sell food was an added bonus. Of course I got food, have you met me?! Lol. The service is fantastic. Thankfully, the girl who gave me the drink (Halley) was there last week, so I was able to thank her again. One of the other customers noted how happy and full of energy she is, I completely agree. It makes the whole experience much more memorable. The other worker, Tessa (?), took the time to prepare my meal while her teammate took the orders. The food was delicious. I got the lamb platter (lamb, pita, hummus, salad, fries). So good. It definitely did the job when I was in need of something to fuel my body after a long run. I came back again today to get a drink in the middle of my run. So thankful for this place! If you are ever in need of friendly staff, hydration, or good geod, definitely consider checking this place out!"
"This place is awesome. I rarely give 5 stars but I can't speak highly enough about the Gyro Place. The location is in canonsburg, right off of pike street. Other reviews say this is a "dive, or whole in the wall" - when I hear those things I normally would think "dirty". however, even though this place is tiny & very outdated it is kept extremely clean. The owner is great, always happy to get business & definitely goes out of his way to make sure that his food is prepared and served fresh. Yesterday I got the veggie gyro, at lunch time I walked in to order & my food was ready in less than ten minutes. For less than $7 I got a gyro that was so big I needed to eat it with a fork.I would highly recommend this place. They do not have alcohol, and like I said the seating in this place is pretty outdated so I don't know if This would be considered a "date night spot" but regardless it's a great place to pick up a quick bite or call ahead."
"This is got to be one of the best kept secret in all of Pennsylvania. We went there for dinner and I was awesomely surprised at how excellent the food was. Went there the next day for breakfast, which is served all day and also once again, we're extremely impressive. One very misleading thing about this restaurant is the menu which is extremely extensive. But no matter what you choose, it's gonna be awesome."
"Sorry for the pictures...I was starving and my brain wasn't working!!! We went out for a rare Monday night dinner and had a great dinner sitting at the bar. Both waitresses were super friendly and helpful. We shared the hummus appetizer...great pita bread...and each got our own gyros. They did great with my husbands no onions and mine no lettuce and no onions"
"I made a trip out west to try one of my buddy's favorite Greek restaurants: Nedal Gyro. I was skeptical of the location since this side of Butler is sketchier than a call center in India, but I was instantly greeted by a friendly waitress and made my way toward the table.I ordered the Gyro, and the lamb was as tender as the sore flesh around my tattered up SI joint. The water tasted like paint thinner, but I was feeling fattened up after that blissful Gyro. I'll be back once the cold weather subsides and PA's gas prices stop kicking my tail."
"The best food dive bar in the area. They really do great bar food. And their speciality is Gyros! I've been coming here since I was a kid with friends or family. And I order always the same thing.. Gyros. Now and again I might fries... but I will always have a gyro here. I hear their other food is good. I wouldn't know cause I always have my gyro when i'm home visiting!"
"Great Homemade Pierogies. Order at the counter and sit at a booth. Friendly and very clean. We didn't try anything else on the menu. But definitely get the Pierogies."
