"What a fantastic place! Randomly found this place on our travels and decided we had to stop in and give it a try! They had live music and a really nice selection of drinks and specials! The prices were super affordable too and there's tons of parking (and it's free)! If you want a special drink not on the menu the bartenders can mix something up for you. Everyone in the bar was friendly and welcoming, felt like a neighborhood bar! If we lived in the area we'd be here all the time! Alsoooooo.... We got super lucky and the owner of the distillery took us on a backstage tour of how they make their moonshine and the history behind the place! Highly recommended!"
"So far they have lemon, orange, pineapple & blueberry cello. Didn't try the orange, but lemon & pineapple was good. Didn't personally care for the blueberry - has more of a liquor taste & wasn't as refreshing as the other flavors. Owners said they are working on more flavors."
"This is such a cute bar! The staff is super nice and the ambiance is great. I love that you can order food from the Brinery next door and go pick it up and eat with your cocktails here. They have a really big cocktail menu which is really nice! There's something for everyone here and they also do really good mock tails. You can make basically any of the cocktails into a mocktail. They have such a fun martini menu and I love their glassware! My favorite drink was the blue basil martini with blueberry syrup, limoncello and vodka. It was so good! The creme brulee martini was amazing too and tasted like dessert in cocktail form. They also had a pride menu for June which had a lot of good drinks on there as well. Definitely check them out for a cute bar with a creative menu!"
"We have been to this distillery a few times. The first time was about a year ago and we got a tour in the back of their distillery. We got to sample a few moonshines and we ended up getting their caramel. It was my favorite one. We came back a few months ago for the Pour Tour. We weren't sure how it would be with the restrictions but we were pleasantly surprised here. We got to sample some moonshines still. We purchased one but they built an outside faculty to enjoy cocktails outside. It was closed in and there were propane heaters in there. It felt good and it was snowing outside so it was pretty cool. I know when it's warmer it will be a really nice outdoor space. The service was good and in the in closed patio there was a bartender making us drinks. It's a long drive for us but it was a good visit and very good moonshine."
"Be wary of when they ask you if you want a sample of their wares. It translates to buying many jars of surprisingly smooth bottles coming home with us(because we were eager to share it with all our friends and family). He through in several recipe cards which resulted in being a hit with our family/friends. Highly recommend!"
"Our first visit but wanted to update my review from the first time. We were over at Devout Brewing and said we are close and I'm reaching out. Called and left voicemail and then wrote a message on Facebook. The owner replied and said he was on his way over. It was 2 PM. It says on Google and Facebook that they are open 12-5. I'd recommend updating the hours. Appears that he and his partner have other jobs and may of had to leave to come here.He came over and when you walk inside you are in the distillery. Right there. He said he has limited supplies but can make a cocktails. We just sampled some of well all for me. Rum was a clear rum but throughout great taste, gin was your typical gin but delicious, limoncello was a classic that doesn't add the milk, it's straight up, root beer moonshine was amazing, apple whiskey was 50 proof, smallest of them all but good. Lastly he had me try a corn whiskey that they do not have available but tasted great. 90 proof, he said in the future it's going to be their bourbon. The owner was extremely nice and we had a great conversation about the business and making wine, to whiskey. He said he uses 10 gallon barrels due to lower wait times on aging vs larger quantities. Recommendation, reach out before just appearing on a day that they're supposed to be open. You will not leave disappointed."
"So I had some time to kill this evening and looked up rum bars. And for all my Houston friends, I'm in Pittsburgh, PA. Anyway, Yelp led me to Maggie's. And I will say, not easy to find. The Lyft driver and I scratched our heads for a minute. Anyway, a true hole in the wall and when you walk in, it looks like an old school no frills bar. Whisky barrels everywhere filled with various versions of their rums. And it's a rum bar that serves only what they make. And the make several varieties of rum - strait rum, light, dark, pineapple, spiced, an old fashion version- just add an orange wedge, several variations of aged. They got rum. The owner or manager was tending bar and working the phone so getting his attention was a task, but as he explained, hiring people now days is hard. So I had a few tastings of the dark, light and his favorite, the Sherry cask. All good, but the Sherry cask was pretty damn good. I tried the Old Fashioned which has all the flavorings added. Pretty good, a bit sweet. But good. Then I had him pour me his favorite drink - his go to. It's was a variation of an old fashion with different rums. Better than the last. So, if you are in the the Pittsburgh area and a rum drinker, you gotta try this place. Amazing rums. You won't be disappointed."
"Drop in and wanted to dry their drinks. The girl let us try some drinks on the menu to see which one we like she was patience and also recommended some drinks because the drink I wanted was monkey butt cream shine but we're out of stock so we just got the vanillla ice cream instead. Ambience very nice and they have some sample you can try. Didn't have a chance to take a picture of what they have but absolutely my to go place. Will come back when I'm in town.Highly recommended. If you're in town in Pennsylvania you should come and check this place out."
"So let's talk about the AMAZING product they put out. Parking Chair Vodka is by far my favorite. I love that they have happy hour with affordable and absolutely yummy cocktails. The set up is cool because it's very shabby chic meets industrial meets farmhouse vibe. It's not the typical lounge that you would expect to have drinks and cocktails in and that's ok with me. I really dig this place and everything about them."
"Great craft distilled spirits! Lucky Sign has great selection of gin, vodka, whiskey, and more! We love their limoncello and the Girty's Run Gin! The purveyors are friendly and willing to spend time to discuss each spirit with you and (best of all) provide some samples to allow for an educated decision. Stop in before your next gathering or just to stock up for the winter."
"My only regret is that we didn't get to Liberty Pole Spirits sooner! We were introduced to their whiskey at the North Strabane Community Day and knew we had to come check the distillery out in person. The space is super cute, with a nod to the Whiskey Rebellion. They have a great outdoor seating area, too. They have a limited dinner menu, but we just came for apps and drinks. I had the peach & bourbon and my husband had an old fashioned. We both enjoyed our drinks and love that the product is made on premises. We also had the pimento cheese dip with Ritz crackers, that was delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive and provided a great experience. If you're not a whiskey person, they do have other options, like local beer."
"First time visiting this distillery conveniently located off I-79. They produce a nice selection of bourbon, vodka and flavored moonshine. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming and generous with the tastings."

The owner has made wonderfully tasty Cello's. Being of Sicilian descent I know my Cellos. Every one sampled was delicious and well priced. A good time was had by my friend and I at this distillery.

Awesome vibe, friendly and knowledgable staff and great tasting cocktails! It's a Very cool cocktail lounge and distillery in Sharpsburg! They make their own liquor and have tons of great tasting drinks. Also , the first and only LBGQ owned distillery in the city. They have jazz occasionally, standup comedy, and perhaps even Steelers game promotions soon. Check it out !!!

Such a great place to stop! They offer free samples of moonshine & they have a reasonably priced gift shop stocked with tee shirts, glassware, games, chapsticks, and more! They have a wide variety of moonshine flavors, so there's definitely something for everyone. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the staff; the owner and the woman behind the counter were SO welcoming and friendly. They answered all of our questions and provided a fantastic experience for our family. There's also a lovely covered outdoor area where they host live music on Friday nights. Make sure you stop! I can't wait to return

Finally made it to Maggie's! We stopped in here for a nightcap recently. The bartender was funny and welcoming even though it was towards the end of the night. This place is such a cool hidden gem in the strip! I definitely want to come back and try more drinks when we have more time! I also loved the presentations of the drinks. Such a fun place!

This was a cool shop that we stopped at while passing through the cute little town of Volant. This is the storefront, which is actually in a rail car. The whiskey is made down the road in West Middlesex. They have a large variety of flavored moonshines and creamy moonshines. If they are not too busy, they will let you taste a few flavors. The whiskeys are decent, but the creamed based moonshines were very good. They have a special running now where if you buy 3 quarts, then you get the fourth one free!

"On a snowy winter day, my hubby and I stopped at MF Rum on McLaughlin Run Rd., In Upper St. Clair. The building is has an unassuming industrial-looking, with parking and entrance in the rear of the building. We were uncertain if this was the place for us as we are not rum drinkers. MF Rum is a super addition to the South Hills. The bar and restaurant is on the second floor. Large windows give a view of the distillery below. There are ample tables and the large horse-shoe shaped bar has loads of seating. The bar menu offered many cocktails featuring rum, spirit-free cocktails, wine beer, soda, and coffee. The food menu is not large but offers interesting options. Salads, burgers, sandwiches, soups, starters, desserts and options for children.Today was visited a little after noon and sat at the bar. Liz provided excellent, friendly service. We enjoyed Old Thunder and 11th hour beer. The cheese plate was delicious and plenty for two to share. Food arriving at other tables looked great and we will be back soon."
"This is such a cool shop! Totally dedicated to PA liquors, they carry what looks like hundreds of bottles of the Keystone State's finest! And you know what the best thing is? You can try them all! Seriously not sure if you can try them all... But every sample I asked for, I got! I went in looking for Boyd & Blair's new cocktail in a bottle, specifically the chai tea mule bottle. SIDE NOTE: It is SO GOOD and you MUST get one asap! So I tried a handful of the other cocktails in a bottle (all excellent) and then tried the Maggie's Farm Rum new Pumpkin Coffee Rum. DELICIOUS and a local rum distiller right down the street actually. It's a tiny store, so if you're heading there on a weekend, beware you may have to wait a little to go in or get a sample. Worth the wait though! The staff has been nice and helpful when I'm looking for something specific and will chat with you about the product too. Clearly they know their stuff!I think this is a the perfect spot to take out of town visitors or to grab a gift for someone. But also, make sure to buy for yourself too... Cheers!"
"Great drinks for great prices. It's a little back woods, but it keeps the college students away. We were able to take home a few bottles of whiskey and rum to enjoy, but I'm looking forward to my next trip out there."
"Rented this facility for a dinner event. We enjoyed the distillery tour with the distiller being our guide. We all learned a lot about their processes and barreling. The staff were great to work with. We used Marinades Grill for our dinner service. They provided an awesome dinner with steak and salmon choices. The quality and taste of the food was great. I highly recommend both places."
"Picked up the adult milkshake slushies for the super bowl... soooooo good and a great deal! Got them on a special - 4 for $10. parking right out front - and hit at a good time - not many folks in the store. We put them outside ( it was cold out) to keep them till we wanted to drink and they help up nicely! Def doing that again - maybe a night at the park listening to music"
"Everything here is so far above par, it's tough to describe. I had three different cocktails and my companions had three different ones each, too. They were all. so. good.My favorite was actually the holiday Wassail, a warm winter spiced punch. We left with a 750ml vodka, a pear liqueur, walnut orange bitters, and a jam. With ten years of practice, maybe we can make ONE cocktail as good as those we had tonight!"
"Friday night we visited Country Hammer moonshine's newest location in Ruffs Dale. They have done a great job on the building, property, and seating area to make it a really nice place to sit and enjoy a few drinks. It is a very different business model than their usual retail spots in shopping centers. We ordered some of their usual slushees: the adult orange push-up and adult chocolate milk. Just like at their other locations they can add an additional shot to these for additional flavors beyond just the base flavor (and a little extra kick). A new drink that some of our group ordered was the hammered duck. It is a combination of lemonade and snozzberry moonshine with a rubber duck floating on top. It is a nice summer drink and very photogenic! As far as food goes, the only thing we ordered was the salmon dip. It was also very good and served with warm pitas and tortilla chips. We look forward to returning and enjoying more of what Country Hammer has to offer."
"First and foremost I have to say- the atmosphere here is immaculate. The staff was amazing and not only gave us an incredible drink suggestion which changed my fiancée's whole view on tequila cocktails for the better (the de manzana was incredible), but they also were so personable and kind that we ended up staying long past the one drink we planned to come by for. We had never been in before but plan to come back soon! They also constantly have super cool and unique events going on."
"I read about Heist on Facebook about a month ago and have been dying to go! My friends and I went yesterday and loved it. It's in an old bank so the space is really cool. There are windows in the tasting room where you can see into the actual distillery - including the bank's original safe which is really neat! Each month they have a rotational cocktail menu made from their house-made spirits- gin and whiskey. As a gin girl, I was very excited they had gin over vodka. My friends and I each got two drinks each and we loved them all. This month's cocktail docket includes an orange whiskey sour, blueberry honey sour (made with local Bedillion's honey!), strawberry fields, gatsby's light, shady lady, and the secret garden. My first cocktail was the secret garden- a gin cocktail with elderflower and I forget what else but it was AMAZING! So fresh. Gatsby's light was their take on a moscow mule but with whiskey. The shady lady had lavender and was very light. The blueberry honey sour was my second favorite. They also offer charcuterie boards, but they are just the prepackaged ones from Aldi. Cocktails were excellent and well-priced, I think all of them were $9 each. Staff was great! They even have a their dog roaming around :) Heist is a hidden gem!"
"This was our first visit as this distillery has recently opened. First of all, it's a little bit of a walk to the distillery from the main lots. However you have the option to have cart ride down. They have lights hanging and it's in the middle of the woods. It's very awesome and such a great idea. This is the second time that I've seen a place setup like this, the other time was in the Finger Lakes. It's a definitely different experience.I tried the bourbon, rye, spiced whiskey, slivovitz and blackberry rum. All of the whiskey was good. The slivovitz is a product that I do not see any local distillers ever making. It was nice to see this here. I was introduced to this 20+ years ago while tailgating for Steelers home games. I have to say what they had tasted much better. I ended up leaving with the Spiced Rum, it was good and different than the others. I had a mixed drink as well as my wife and we both enjoyed the drink and the location. They have a stream nearby. The seating is awesome, you can sit outside near the distillery, inside the woods, along the creekside. It's a very cool place and can't wait to go back again. This place just opened and see it getting busier and more popular over time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting this place."
"We stopped at this small store front while visiting some places on the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour list. I think they served drinks but I am not 100% sure. There were tables with people sitting around but I am not sure why. When you walk in to the left are their liquors. We looked them over while waiting to meet the bartender to do some sampling. I was very pleased we were able to sample. I tried the blackberry lavender, strawberry lemonade, and the pumpkin pie. After my pumpkin pie sampling the barkeep gave me another topped with almond milk. Delicious! Tasted like the kind of dessert I would go in for seconds on.We decided to go with the Blackberry Lavender as we have another local distilleries Pumpkin Pie whiskey already at home. The bartender told us it was their best seller and I could see why. I would definitely stop in again if in the area."
"This place was great. They happened to have Game of Thrones on the TV and it felt like home if home offered a variety of liquors all with unique flavors. Everyone just talked to each other. The bartender and all of the customers. It's a really cool vibe. There's something very Pittsburgh about the friendliness here. If you're doing some tastings don't forget a DD. I was feeling it very quickly."
"we were in town for Bantam Jeep Fest and had dinner there twice. service and food both times were great. would definitely recommen!"
"One can always depend on getting a unique specialty beverage here. Nice place with a casual, laid back environment.I was here for their Festivus celebration and had a great time. (If you're not familiar with Festivus, look up the episode on Seinfeld.). There was a Festivus pole, Festivus drinks and the tip jar was for the "Human Fund." There were slips of paper to write down your grievances. Stop in here for some great whiskey even if it's not Festivus."
"This place was amazing.. I messaged them on Facebook and setup an appointment quickly. They were very nice and accommodating. They have many options to choose from. We ended up obtaining 6 for $15, smaller sizes but worth it. The bourbon was very good. It's out in the middle of no where. However worth it all."
"I was very glad I went there for dinner. I might suggest calling ahead to see if you need to make reservations. If you think Wigle is just a distillery, they are much more. The food options are very good. The bar area and seating area is tight and well lit. The have merchandise just behind the seating area. I also know they do tours. So no matter what you are looking for, they should be able to accommodate you. Please give them a try, I did, and I was glad I did!"
"BOTTLED COCKTAILS!!!!!!! I am so obsessed with them! I have not had a bad one either. I need them now more than ever during the pandemic and I don't mean that I need to drink more, it's that I miss having a carefully crafted cocktail at the bar. These are that, but in a bottle that you can just pour out and enjoy at home. I hope they never stop making these! So right now I'm loving the Chai Tea Mule. It is fall in a bottle. It's smooth and so easy to drink. I split the whole bottle with a friend... oops! Like I said, the other ones are amazing too. I've had the black tea/lemonade and the lavender/martini too. But seriously, you really can't go wrong. Their distillery is closed to the public currently, but you can order online. They also pop-up various places around town like Soergel's Orchards. I know they're sold at PA Libations in the Strip and I believe at certain Wine & Spirits stores around town. Just check their website! This is the perfect gift to give someone, and they also have flasks and variety packs too. You can thank me later :)"
"This was our first visit to this new distillery up in Lawrenceville which has become one of the hottest places in the city. They're the happening place to visit distilleries and breweries and now cocktail bars.We had the great opportunity to meet Kenyan Hicks the owner and distiller of Noire Distillery. He provided us a history of the different spirits that they offer. Noire Blanc is a gin that is about love, represents both he and his wife as they collaborated on this bottle. It has a strong meaning behind it that represents their relationship and provides a unique but good taste to a gin that I personally can sip on vs just mixing with a cocktail. We had the regular gin but still had a terrific taste, they have a bottle that is in collaboration with unspeakable3920 next door and can be sampled here, but only purchased next door. It's another special bond that represents another great spirit. Now my favorite was the rested gin. I had recently learned while traveling that gin is being aged in barrels. He had one that he aged in a barrel over a short period of time. The flavors that we received was cinnamon up front and nutmeg on the back end. It's at 105 proof, provides a rich and unique taste to a gin that can be a sipper vs traditionally mixing as a cocktail. He said he didn't lose much while aging in a barrel from Wigle Whiskey. Highly recommend giving this new business an opportunity. It has a strong growth in this industry in the Pittsburgh region."
