"An absolutely no-frills, delicious, excessively portioned breakfast joint that is the mainstay of the Pittsburgh breakfast scene. I cannot say enough our the food. Greasy, comforty deliciousness.Bring your appetite. Weekends can be busy and there is usually a line. Totally worth the wait."
"Been here several times. We always stop going and coming from the airport. Food is always been good no matter what we order. Service is always good. Desserts are fabulous."

"Excellent service and staff. That's why I did 5 stars. Steak & Eggs was good. Corned beef has was really really salty. Tasted like it was canned product. Based on my experience. Great atmosphere. Reasonable pricing."
"The food here is delicious! Service was very friendly and attentive. We had the chicken biscuit and the hen's hash. Both were super tasty, would love to go back!"
"As good as it gets, for diner-style breakfast fare. Wait times can be lengthy as this is such a popular spot and right on the fringes of the University of Pittsburgh campus, but do not let that dissuade you from giving it a go!The wait staff was attentive, and the coffee pots flowed continuously throughout our visit. My wife and I each ordered a breakfast platter, and we shared them both.Wife's traditional breakfast consisted of the usual suspects of eggs, potatoes, bacon and some very unusually thin pancakes (which turned out to be the star of the show!). I ordered a plate of corned beef hash which came with over easy eggs and buttered toast. They practically had to roll us out of there after the meal, but man was it worth it!"
"I'm always happy to be here. Palak Paneer is my go to for the love of cheese and spinach. I have never been disappointed and willing to LIVE in mango chicken curry."
"This was a pretty good find while out in Wexford after a morning appointment on a Saturday. We were seated quickly, given menus, coffee, waters and space to peruse the menu. Very typical diner fare. The veggie omelet sounded good, so I ordered that with some dry wheat toast and shredded potatoes. Our food was delivered in a reasonable time and it was pretty darn good greasy spoon grub. The service was very good and attentive. The omelet was cooked well but the potatoes were a bit bland. I added some salt and hot sauce to add additional flavor. For a diner this place is worth a second stop."
"A perfect old-school diner. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious. Just a classic diner offering diner food exactly how you want it."
"I'd highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice dinner in Pittsburgh! The view was amazing and the service was fabulous!I also enjoyed the food and quality of what I received! They start you off with rolls that are crunchy and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. I also loved that we had our own butter plate with butter, the little things right? I started with a caesar salad that they made tableside, which was fun to watch but also made it feel super fresh! It was delicious and perfectly seasoned!I got the tomahawk pork chop which was juicy and crispy on the outer edge, the way I like pork chops! The sides weren't my favorite but it was okay since the chop was hugeI need with crème brûlée, which had a nice vanilla flavor, smooth and sugary!"
"My wife and I's go-to breakfast place. I couldn't recommend this diner enough from the wonderful staff to the mouth watering food that seems to be never ending. No matter what we try it just seems to keep getting better! The space is a little limited but it definitely adds to the diner atmosphere and feels more comfortable with everyone's conversation merging into an orchestra of everyday people's lives. Stop by if your in the area, it's worth the wait"
"This place is a must go if in the Altoona area and you want an old school vibe and a traditional breakfast. It makes you feel at home, the food there is great. You can't go wrong with really any of the selections, it's nothing fancy. It's very basic and straightforward but done very well. Would recommend highly."
"Great service, affordable prices, very good food. I had the big breakfast and my wife had the grilled cheese with bacon n tomato. Portions are huge."

A lot of reviews I read said that they were cash only, but that is outdated! You are able to pay via credit card. Our server was very friendly and was able to give us recommendations on what we should get. I'm glad we listened to her because our food was great. The potatoes were delicious and the strawberry hotcakes were crispy and sweet.

One of the best diners I have ever been to. The food was delicious. I ordered eggs over easy with sausage and toast. Everything was perfectly cooked. The sausage links were large and extremely flavorful. Our server made the experience even better! She was extremely kind, checking on us throughout the meal and making sure we were comfortable. We will definitely return soon!

THIS PLACE WAS MY JAM.When I lived in Pittsburgh, everyone always wanted to go to Pamela's, but when I tell you THIS was the spot? I'm not joking. The vibe & service in this location was like a mix of Waffle House & Chick-Fil-A. The waitresses and waiters were always so very kind and treated you like they were hosting you in their own home. A total vibe. And the FOOD. My goodness. The flavor in the eggs and french toast or pancakes was always top notch - I'm drooling thinking about it right now. I always got cheesy eggs, sometimes bacon & always some sort of sweet treat like french toast or pancakes. AND I WAS NEVER DISAPPOINTED. You have to check it out if you live in or visit Pittsburgh.

Food is always amazing. Been going here for ever. It's been a lifelong thing. Service is always great. Ambience is OK. It's really fun and sad to look at. I always get the bacon and cheese omelette with home fries and white or Ryebread total knock out.

Great buffet. Glad to find a lunch buffet still active after covid. We got here as they were sitting the dishes out at the buffet. So everything was very fresh and hot. We will be back next time in town for business. Price was good as well.

I've been wanting to come back here for a while. The pancakes are huge and I've been craving one. I was driving my mom back to the North Hills from an appointment in Wexford and was hangry because the appointment ran well over an hour late and I didn't have coffee yet lol. The weather is kind of gross and people are driving crazy so I thought, let's grab some food and pulled into the lot. The diner itself is a decent size. They have plenty of booths and tables or you can sit at the counter. I got a coffee and the Little Al. It did not disappoint. The pancake is literally the size of the plate and pretty thick too. The bacon was perfectly cooked. I like mine a little crunchy but not hard as a rock. There's probably a 5lb bag of hash browns on the plate and I ate them all. No regrets. Service was fantastic! They are friendly and fast and she even gave me a coffee to go! Will definitely be back.

"Great food , fast service, clean place , large menu ,highly recommended & great Sunday Bloody Mary bar !!!"
"I'm new to the neighborhood and everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious!! We went for breakfast and tried the bacon and cheese omelet and the avacado toast. It was the best avacado toast I have ever had and it came with a side of yummy tomato salad. Everything was super fresh as well. Both were so good and were out quickly. I can't wait to go back to try more menu items!!!"
"CATERINGmy company chooses Bob's to cater our holiday party; this is my eighth year enjoying their spread! Consistent and delicious every single year. They place charcuterie and vegetable trays in our kitchenettes on each floor before lunch is served, then a really scrumptious buffet of chicken marsala, green beans, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and everybody looks forward to the pierogi dish! ... absolutely not what you would think of when you think of a diner and the staff are always extremely accommodating and friendly!Just in case you didn't know about the catering, I highly recommend it."
"Food has always been good take out or sit down to eatFair prices clean restaurant, friendly service"
"I love this place. The food is good. The price is right. There is parking in the back. The location is classic Wilkinsburg. Nancy's is always busy when I've gone on weekend mornings. Yum! I can't recommend this greasy spoon enough. The ambiance is old diner on a low budget and the look hasn't changed in years."
"I was in Market Square and I was starving.Cherries is a cute little restaurant in the square.I ordered the early bird special. It consists of 2 eggs bacon home fries and a large pancake.every thing was cooked great and the staff where very friendly.I was in and out in 5-8 minutes.Take out only so I ate in my car.Breakfast was very tasty and hit the spot.If I am in the area again and in need of breakfastI will definitely stop in again."
"We visited this cafe while on vacation. It was so good, we went there twice! When we got there Saturday morning, you could tell this is where the locals go, which is always a great indication of how good the food is. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The staff were super friendly. The food was fantastic. I had their French toast. The French toast is made with handmade bread! Everyone I was with loved their food. I would definitely recommend!"
"Been living in the area for about six months now and drive by here regularly. Finally carved out some time this morning to stop in for breakfast. Restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived but we were promptly seated and our server took our drink orders shortly after. Even with the craziness of the Covid and being severely short staffed everyone had a smile on their face and my hat is off to the one cook they had that was serving 10+ tables! Our food came out 15 minutes later and I had ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with two eggs, bacon, and home fries. Home fries were nicely seasoned, the bacon was thick and crispy, and the eggs were over-medium which was perfect for me. I enjoyed the sausage gravy but unfortunately the biscuits seemed as though they weren't fresh as they were very dry and kind of spongy instead of flaky. Either way, sausage gravy helped mask the texture and the flavor was fine. Hopefully I can find time again soon to stop in to try other seasonal menu items that I didn't try this time around."
"Surprised how delicious the prime rib was, with a tasty beefy jus for dipping. We asked and they had fresh grated horseradish. With scratch made mashed potatoes and gravy and we ordered green beans side. Perfect to split with my guy, so we had enough room to start with the creamy potato soup and finish with a hot tart and sweet cherry pie slice with cold ice cream on top. Great service, comfy booths, each seat by a window."
"Hugger Mugger is my favorite place in New Castle to get breakfast! The hometown legend is your best option! The waitress' are all very nice! I always enjoy going there for breakfast."
"What a great place for breakfast. I haven't been there for lunch yet. I went early on a Thursday morning with my son, and we were greeted by Beth. At this point I have to say I grew up in Pittsburgh and I recently moved back. I have so missed how friendly everybody is here in Pittsburgh... Anyway, Beth was awesome. She genuinely cares about everybody in the place. My son and I both had omelets. I had the gyro and he had the western. Both were prepared perfectly. Beth checked back regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Then one of the regulars got up to leave. He said, "it sure is quiet in here". Beth said, "that's because you're leaving". He zinged back "I'd be staying if the food and the service were better". I almost spit out my coffee. The Bill, the owner stopped by our table and chatted for 10 minutes. Nice guy.I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!"
"First time here and it was delicious! I don't know how anyone could think their portions were tiny. They were perfect! I got eggs, bacon, sausage, one pancake and hash browns for like $10! I can't remember the name of it only what it included. My SO got the breakfast burrito and it was a good size and he loved it! Everything is home made. And you can definitely taste the difference. The eggs were buttery and creamy, the bread locally sourced and I got some wedding soup to go. Packed with flavor!!! The staff was amazing! Very nice, prompt and down to earth. From the outside you wouldn't expect such a gem. Once you're inside it's a really neat experience. Not too loud and it gave a homey vibe where you can tell they have tons of regulars. We live like an hour away and will absolutely be returning soon! Can't wait to try more menu items. Maybe something beyond breakfast."
"Went here for breakfast and I will tell you I have never had pancakes as good as these. This place is without a doubt worth a trip even if you live way out of town. I frankly live nowhere nearby here, but would go here out of my way. Service was great. Prices great."
"Was going to stop at McDonald's but I'm sooo glad I didn't. The burger I got was outstanding."
"Tried for first time and very impressed with the service. Looks like a local favorite. There was a family there with several small boys and they all looked like they were enjoying their food and the service. Itis small, but immaculately clean. Parking is on the street, but I had no problem finding a parking space. It is close to the Brentwood Towne Square if you want to walk a bit and not deal with parking meters.Service is very friendly. The portions are big and delicious. A little more expensive than a Denny's, but the quality is well worth it...you will not go away hungry. Spoke to one of the waitresses who told me the little boy in the group with the family is kind of their spokesperson because he always brings his friends with their parents in tow. Noticed they have potato pancakes. Going to have to go back to try them next."
"Come hungry! We had a great experience. Service was fast despite how busy it was on a Sunday morning. My husband got an omelette and I got the Imperial platter to share with my little one (pictured) but it was big enough to share between 2 adults! 3 not so mini pancakes, a slice of French toast, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage eggs and 2 pieces of rye was a feast for only $12. Will definitely be back! Cozy local diner atmosphere made the meal enjoyable"
"Good and clean restaurant with a great service and excellent food! It was recommended by the FBO as a well known place. Right on!!"
"Yes, old school great service and delicious breakfast food does exist. Simple seating and counter service."
"Best pizza around!! It's my hometown favorite! Try the Sicilian pizza it's delicious! I never get disappointed here!"
"Great food, great service and great prices! I rarely give 5 stars for ANYTHING! These folks were really wonderful!"
"I was in the area and decided to grab lunch at a place I'd never tried before. Being a foodie, I love trying new out-of-the-way places. Towne Square Restaurant proved to be a great spot! Located downtown, it looks surprisingly small when you first walk in. After being pleasantly created by Kendra, I checked out the menu and order the Hot Meatloaf Dinner and a cup of their Italian Wedding Soup. The portions were perfect and everything was tasty. I purposely didn't read the reviews because I wanted to decide myself. I overheard some other customers saying the food was good and the service was great. They were absolutely right. This place should be in your to-try list."
"Go hungry! The huge portions are sure to fill you up and leftovers to take home. Small but very popular location."
"Very nice place, seemed recently renovated. There were four of us. I had the western omelet which came with toast. Very large omelet and very good and perfectly cooked. The other meals & opinions were:Lobster pot - thought there wasn't that many langostinos for the price but tasted good. Came with 2 sides. Isn't actually served in a pot either :(Taco salad - large portion, lots of nachos in it. Very good.Think the last meal was salisbury steak or something. Our friend liked it but was still disappointed because it looked like a hamburger with gravy on itService was slow and the waitress wasn't very friendly. The only saving grace was the gentleman who served us the food. He was personable, always had a smile on his face."
