Wait times can be lengthy as this is such a popular spot and right on the fringes of the University of Pittsburgh campus, but do not let that dissuade you from giving it a go!The wait staff was attentive, and the coffee pots flowed continuously throughout our visit. My wife and I each ordered a breakfast platter, and we shared them both.Wife's traditional breakfast consisted of the usual suspects of eggs, potatoes, bacon and some very unusually thin pancakes (which turned out to be the star of the show!). I ordered a plate of corned beef hash which came with over easy eggs and buttered toast.They practically had to roll us out of there after the meal, but man was it worth it!"

"This was a pretty good find while out in Wexford after a morning appointment on a Saturday. We were seated quickly, given menus, coffee, waters and space to peruse the menu. Very typical diner fare. The veggie omelet sounded good, so I ordered that with some dry wheat toast and shredded potatoes.Our food was delivered in a reasonable time and it was pretty darn good greasy spoon grub. The service was very good and attentive. The omelet was cooked well but the potatoes were a bit bland. I added some salt and hot sauce to add additional flavor. For a diner this place is worth a second stop."

I started with a caesar salad that they made tableside, which was fun to watch but also made it feel super fresh! It was delicious and perfectly seasoned!I got the tomahawk pork chop which was juicy and crispy on the outer edge, the way I like pork chops! The sides weren't my favorite but it was okay since the chop was hugeI need with crème brûlée, which had a nice vanilla flavor, smooth and sugary!"

"Been living in the area for about six months now and drive by here regularly. Finally carved out some time this morning to stop in for breakfast. Restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived but we were promptly seated and our server took our drink orders shortly after. Even with the craziness of the Covid and being severely short staffed everyone had a smile on their face and my hat is off to the one cook they had that was serving 10+ tables! Our food came out 15 minutes later and I had ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with two eggs, bacon, and home fries. Home fries were nicely seasoned, the bacon was thick and crispy, and the eggs were over-medium which was perfect for me. I enjoyed the sausage gravy but unfortunately the biscuits seemed as though they weren't fresh as they were very dry and kind of spongy instead of flaky. Either way, sausage gravy helped mask the texture and the flavor was fine. Hopefully I can find time again soon to stop in to try other seasonal menu items that I didn't try this time around."

"Surprised how delicious the prime rib was, with a tasty beefy jus for dipping. We asked and they had fresh grated horseradish. With scratch made mashed potatoes and gravy and we ordered green beans side. Perfect to split with my guy, so we had enough room to start with the creamy potato soup and finish with a hot tart and sweet cherry pie slice with cold ice cream on top. "What a great place for breakfast. I haven't been there for lunch yet. I went early on a Thursday morning with my son, and we were greeted by Beth. At this point I have to say I grew up in Pittsburgh and I recently moved back. I have so missed how friendly everybody is here in Pittsburgh... Anyway, Beth was awesome. She genuinely cares about everybody in the place. My son and I both had omelets. I had the gyro and he had the western. Both were prepared perfectly. Beth checked back regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Then one of the regulars got up to leave. He said, "it sure is quiet in here". Beth said, "that's because you're leaving". He zinged back "I'd be staying if the food and the service were better". I almost spit out my coffee. The Bill, the owner stopped by our table and chatted for 10 minutes. Nice guy.I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!"

"First time here and it was delicious! I don't know how anyone could think their portions were tiny. They were perfect! I got eggs, bacon, sausage, one pancake and hash browns for like $10! I can't remember the name of it only what it included. My SO got the breakfast burrito and it was a good size and he loved it! Everything is home made. And you can definitely taste the difference. The eggs were buttery and creamy, the bread locally sourced and I got some wedding soup to go. Packed with flavor!!! The staff was amazing! Very nice, prompt and down to earth. From the outside you wouldn't expect such a gem. Once you're inside it's a really neat experience. Not too loud and it gave a homey vibe where you can tell they have tons of regulars. We live like an hour away and will absolutely be returning soon! Can't wait to try more menu items. Maybe something beyond breakfast."

Parking is on the street, but I had no problem finding a parking space. It is close to the Brentwood Towne Square if you want to walk a bit and not deal with parking meters.Service is very friendly. The portions are big and delicious. A little more expensive than a Denny's, but the quality is well worth it...you will not go away hungry. Spoke to one of the waitresses who told me the little boy in the group with the family is kind of their spokesperson because he always brings his friends with their parents in tow. Noticed they have potato pancakes. Going to have to go back to try them next."

Isn't actually served in a pot either :(Taco salad - large portion, lots of nachos in it. Very good.Think the last meal was salisbury steak or something.
