"I really enjoyed the atmosphere-- big fan of the classic rock/modern rock tour posters. Very relaxed and clean atmosphere, and the manager was helpful and good to get to know as well. Love the mac and cheese, I really appreciated the variety of unique menu items-- I tried the Bleu Buffalo, it was flavorful with generous portions."
"I've been keeping my eye on this place near my Mom's house to see when they would be open. They finally are, so I gave them a try today. They're called "Heck Ya!", and features mostly hot dogs, with Italian sausage and kielbasa thrown into the mix, as is expected in Youngstown.I went with one Super Dog and one Filly Dog. The Filly Sauce is what they call chili sauce. The Super Dog is a hot dog with Filly Sauce, onions, and jalapeño coleslaw. The Filly Dog is your basic chili dog with chili, mustard and onions. Both were very good, using Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs as the vessel for the slaw and sauce. The slaw was good, but not too spicy even with the jalapeños. The chili had was on the meatier side, mild and had a good tangy flavor. Service was friendly and they're still working out some kinks as they just recently opened. Was it worth it? Heck Ya!"
"One of the best brunches! Reservations on Resy are a good idea, as this is a popular spot. Street parking is available, as is food pickup. The menu has a selection of all the typical breakfast fares and doesn't disappoint. The Bloody Mary has a nice kick from the horseradish and is a little chunky. Small bits of pickled veggies are on the stick. Overall, a really good breakfast cocktail. The breakfast sandwich is served on brioche and I opted for an everything bagel. It came with a good egg to cheese ratio and nice pieces of bacon on top. The smashed potatoes with garlic aoli are a must. They have a nice crunch and are large enough to share.I will definitely be back!"
"Let's start this review off by saying my entire family is OBSESSED with Walid's. We tried it for the first time when I became a homeowner this past year and I needed to feed my moving crew. I got enough food to feed 8 people and it was less than $100 which is unbeatable for the quality of the food. We love it!I ordered the same menu items this past weekend and both times I've ordered here it's been incredible. We got the big family pan of chicken and the big family pan of cod fish. Both were super fresh, crispy, and flavorful. The fries were just coming out of the fryer when we arrived, so we had no doubts they'd also be delicious. For the price and how amazing the food is at Walid's, it's easy to say we have a local favorite that we will visit time and time again. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for some great fried comfort food!"
"It was decent - lots of food and super crowded. The ordering experience was a little complicated."
"There is a sign outside of this little spot that says 'Best BBQ in Town' and they are not lying! Our daughter who lives in the area took us here for dinner the other night and we were very satisfied! The service was friendly and attentive and our food was delicious. Between the four of us, we tried the brisket tacos, Pulled pork sandwiches and Brisket with sides of Mac and cheese, Fries and coleslaw. My brisket was tender, juicy and flavorful. Best side was easily the fries which ares seasoned perfectly. We ate there and were given extra bbq sauce when requested. They do takeout as well. Would highly recommend this spot."
"Always a Motown fav! Menus are at the door, walk up to the counter to order, grab your silverware and drinks, then seat yourself, food is delivered to your table. Not your traditional WV restaurant which is why I love it. They offer protein options like tofu, jackfruit and beans, as well as your traditional options. Plus 20 beers on tap from West Virginia and other popular breweries. Super laidback, comfortable and welcoming restaurant that embraces culture, art and music. 15+ year customer!"
"There's just something about getting on an elevator to go to a restaurant. I like it. I don't know why. Well, color me excited that Elevation is located on the 25th floor of the Oliver Building. Upon exiting the elevators I was greeted with a pleasant, modern, hotel lobby vibe. Good thing, considering I was in the [Embassy Suites] hotel lobby; and just around the corner was Elevation. The hostess was kind and welcoming, and sat our party of four immediately. Elevation's menu made for a tough lunch-time decision, as I really wanted to try a bit of everything. Me and the fabulous Kristin W. agreed to go splitsies on the Crab Cake Salad and the Grilled Vegetable Sandwich. The former was a huge plate of romaine, a few slices of avocado, a bit of tomato and one crab cake. While the crab cake was good, for a salad of that size (and price/$15), I might expect two instead. Not a deal-breaker, but worth mentioning. The sandwich was exceptional. The grilled veggies were melted together with provolone on a whole wheat ciabatta bun SO good I'm dedicated to tracking down the bakery from whence it came. The sandwich was accompanied by a nice handful of seasoned fries and, at $10 for the combo, pretty cheap! We also indulged in two desserts - the Hummingbird Cake, a southern spice cake with cream cheese icing and the Housemade Cookie Platter. Honestly, I'd pass on both and maybe try one of their other creations. Neither of these two were all that noteworthy, in my humble opinion. Though our server was a bit strange, our overall experience was great! Next time I'm opting for the Fried Catfish Sandwich. Looked delicious and, at $8, I can afford to eat every day. I won't - but I COULD, and that's what's important."
"We had a great time at Shorty's. I enjoyed the holiday menu and cocktails. I could eat the pigs in a blanket every night! The holiday decor is very festive! We'll definitely be back!"
"Ordered 12 dry rub ranch wings on grubhub and asked for extra seasoning. When you got home I realized that they did indeed give me extra ranch seasoning (most places say they will but actually never do). The wings were stellar! I like my wings fried hard and that's just what I got. Definitely will be going to this place alot now that I know the food is A1"

We stopped looking for a quick bite in the area and loved it! We tried the pierogi Mac and cheese, tater tot Mac and cheese, Mac Haus Bites, and Bleu Buffalo Mac and cheese. I wish we lived closer to a place like this!

We made reservations and came here for Valentine's Day. The staff were extremely friendly and it felt like a very private dinner. The focaccia bread is out of this world. Between my steak and her fusilli we had an amazing dinner and time. Highly recommend for a date night!

A hidden gem!! A cozy sports bar restaurant. The menu is perfect for the smaller size of the place. The food portions are great and the flavors are amazing- the Old Bay seasoning in the tartar sauce is a new on me - so good!!! The drink selection has locals and bid name brands. It was clean and well managed. The service was pleasant and quick. I will be back!

Cool vibes, nice beers on tap, friendly service! They had a good fall special - "Pumpkin Patch" when we had gone in October. It was a taco with pumpkin bbq sauce that was really tasty. Both the regular version with meat and the vegetarian jackfruit option were great! My wife & I were glad we stopped here while on the road!

Great location, Great atmosphere, Great Staff and Great food... all around fantastic! I can't say anything negative wel... except that I wish the both style seating around the windows were elevated so you could see the beautiful views. The atmosphere is upscale, warm and inviting. The staff is above and beyond! The food exquisitely presented and The Taste melts in your mouth. Perfect for any business lunch or evening out or even a Sunday afternoon brunch.

"We tried Curry Mouth twice since it opened October 15th and it has been consistently welcoming, flavorful, and offers generous portions. The owners are so great at explaining the menu items and you can see and taste the love that is put into their recipes. We've ordered to-go twice. Our first visit Kate was amazing educating on what to order and when I met Kern and Wynston on our second visit they were equally as kind and helpful! What a joy it is to visit Curry Mouth. Highly recommend the All Inclusive Sampler to get to try a nice variety of the menu. Also, don't sleep on the beverage options. We've tried the Sorrel and Trini Lemonade as well as some amazing bottled beverages. They all pair amazingly with the eats. We are so grateful Curry Mouth is in our community and look forward to future visits!"
"Gabby and Sydney were beyond amazing. We had the best time with them. Gave us great recommendations to check out and places to see. Hands down best bartenders in the area, glad I got to know them. Place has a super cool vibe with great music giving total relaxing vibes. Lowly light with a funky style with a palmy like feel. Great hotel highly recommend.... will be back"
"The Courthouse Inn and Restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and elegant with the highest quality of food! The entire restaurant has various decorations and artwork that have beautiful meaning and history to them. There is a gorgeous outdoor patio, and the restrooms are like a work of art, covered in crystal-like mirrors. Service was excellent with very friendly and hard-working staff members. There are lots of healthy choices and vegetarian options here, unlike most places in the area. It is really nice to be able to see some unique menu items here. The food was phenomenal! We shared a few different appetizers among everyone at the table, and I ordered the Margherita Pizza. You can definitely taste how fresh the ingredients are in the food. Everything was delicious, and I will absolutely come back to try out other menu offerings.I would definitely recommend checking this place out!!"
"Food is amazing here. Everything is home made. Even the kids chicken fingers are home made."
"Fantastic wings and white fish. Such a nice restaurant and sweet owner. Onion rings were a perfect side."
"We travel to Minerva here and there, and I always like stopping at Hollands for breakfast on Saturday prior to visiting with family. I was disappointed to hear that it was sold, and I had feared it wouldn't reopen...and if so, that it wouldn't be the same.I can confirm it did in fact reopen, and from what I can tell the same items are on the new menu, just pricier than before. I regularly get the sausage biscuits and gravy with a coffee, it is now $6-7. Very unique flavor, still tastes the same...although I have to say pretty expensive for what you get...that is more expensive than Bob Evans.New owner was nice and greeted us half way through the meal. Place was busy and we had to sit for a while (10-15m) before getting any attention. New waitresses seemed nice, but tough to replace the ones in there before that ran house!"
"Lunch was delicious and our server was top notch. She helped with recommending what we should have, which did not disappoint. The pendulum room has a great feel, including some fun wall decor. Give it a try!"
"Great food, old school diner vibes, some things can be a lil pricey but the burger alone is worth it."
"Great option for eating clean & healthyThe salads are all huge and full of yumminess to the last bite. The dressings are so delicious and the service is top notch. Ms Melissa is truly the sweetest so make sure you say Hi"
"My wife doesn't like pizza too much so if she recommends a pizza place and mentions we should go there that has to mean something! It did! We drove past this place on the way to somewhere else and my wife remembered in her college days that they had some really good pie. So we said we would come back one day. A week later we found ourselves in the same area again and we decided to stop by and see if they still had that same great pizza. We walk in and it's a dive bar. No big deal we have been to many dive bars but do they have good pie? We walked into the bar area and there was a customer who is sitting at the bar by himself who greets us. Then the lady bartender comes in to say hi too. She was really nice. We got a couple beers and told her we wanted to order a pizza to go. We planned on taking this pizza to a brewery to enjoy it. Nothing against this place but we didn't really want to stay too long. The first time I order a pizza from somewhere I usually just want cheese and pepperoni. Once they pass my test I adventure to other toppings. So we ordered a 8 cut pizza and my wife got Mushrooms (yuck) and jalapenos on her side. The gentleman at the bar was polite and offered us dinner mints because he said the cops wont arrest you for a DUI around here if you have good breath. I said thanks but no thanks LoL! Our pizza came out and settled up our check and we left. Again the lady was nice and as long as this pizza was good we would come back and do the same thing. We headed to the brewery to eat the pizza. It smelled really good. We did get sidetrack because there was a Big Lots on the way and we stopped for some supplies. Finally when we sat down at the brewery and opened up the pie it was a little cool but still warm enough to enjoy. My wife is right about a lot of things and she was really right on this pizza. It was really good. This is one of the best sauces on a pizza that I've tasted and the crust was sturdy and held up the pie very well. I wasn't expecting too much from this place but I was impressed. Carrie said this is how it was when she was in college and it's this sauce that is very good. Who knew that such a good pie could come out of a dive bar like that. So our plan is to go back here sometime in the future order a few beers while our pizza is baking and then head to a brewery to eat our pizza. Done and Done!"
"Great little place to eat. I had the farm burger and fries witch was awesome, fresh patty and good bun. Fresh cut fries. My son had the chicken noodle soup and a side of fries and he enjoyed it as well. Friendly and fast service, good prices and nice portions."
"Let's start with the negative reviews. Most seem to be from a couple of years ago when we were still dealing with the pandemic, restaraunts were struggling to stay in business while meeting mandates, and people were generally pissed off about everything. If you were offended by plastic cutlery, you may just have had other issues. That's done, and this is now. My wife and I decided to try Rochester Smokehouse tonight for a change of pace. We checked the menu and noticed the prices first...a little pricey, we thought, but stick with me here...there's a reason. I ordered the Honky Tonk Platter...1/2 lb. pulled pork and two pieces of chicken with mashed potatoes and baked beans as sides. My wife got 3 (gargantuan) wings with cole slaw and mac & cheese for sides. As well as everything being perfectly cooked and delicious, the portions were huge. The pricing started to make perfect sense since each meal was enough for two people. The meats were tender and tasty and the sides were comfort food standards, some with fresh embellishments like the slightly spicy, sweet and sour cole slaw and baked beans with a kick of onion and mild spices. As another reviewer mentioned, it is all subjective...but the level of spice here is light to moderate. If this bothers you, you may wish to rethink why you're eating barbecue in the first place. Five stars, and looking forward to having the rest for dinner tomorrow."
"Excellent dining option for singles, couples and families. There are tables that can seat at least 8 and tables for as little as two. The staff is friendly. The menu is homestyle Italian and everything sounds appealing.I stopped in for the Meatball Stuffed Loaf and it did not disappoint! Massive meatballs, stuffed into a crusty loaf of freshly baked bread. The bread is soft on the inside, but not so much that all the delicious red sauce and rich melty cheese make it soggy. The sauce is somewhat sweet, but not that kind of sweet that lingers and makes you not appreciate the flavors of the tomatoes and seasonings.I really don't even like meatball subs, but something about these lured me in... I'm glad, because they're incredible and you should definitely stop in and have one! *Mangino's is an hour from my house and I made the drive 4 times in 2023, simply for the meatball stuffed loaf and french fries! I'll stop at a few of the waterfalls in the area to make it a day, but I'm making the trip for the loaf. I've purchased extras to bring home to my family and they were enjoyed as much as my fresh one."
"Delicious! I love the keto cheesecake option. Kids menu. Service is great. Food is made right in front of you. Fresh quality ingredients. Great portion sizes. Great prices. We will be back!"
"This has to be the best Hook Fish and Chicken spot in Pittsburgh. I ordered takeout from here on a Friday night through grub hub and my order was done right on time. I had to park behind the building since there isn't any on street parking. But it was free and I also noticed another lot near too. We ordered chicken wings that came with fries and Coleslaw and catfish nuggets that also came with the same sides. It was so good. Even my 2 year old gobbled it all down. Her favorite was definitely the coleslaw! Will definitely be back again."
"I've been wanting to try plov for a long time. Since they're takeout only, we decided we would eat in our car and then walk along Grandview avenue and enjoy the views. I got the plov and my companion got the Manti, plus we got the large bread. We shared. Our favorite turned out to be the Manti. It had a distinctive flavor we liked and felt light. The beef in the plov was very good but I was underwhelmed with the rice. Perhaps because of how many times over the years I've heard praise about plov. I really thought it was going to knock my socks off. I'm looking forward to trying other items. I wish the dining room was open, the pictures of it look beautiful and intimate. They have a private parking lot which is an important feature in this area. The service was interesting:) Takeout is one thing, but here I have to call when I get there. The doors are locked. So I call and say I am here. And a lady says ok few minutes. And that's it. 5 or so minutes later a lady stealthily comes out of the secret passage and hands me a bag. Then disappears. I literally did not see her come or leave! We chuckled walking back to our car."
