"Their chocolate is locally famous and in my opinion, delicious. As for the restaurant portion: What you you see is what you get. Very dated but cozy. If you want food you can cook at home served with a smiling face, this place is for you. I've had a burger here (a bit dry and over cooked) and chicken tenders (enjoyed them, nice crust to meat ratio). This place is old-school in appearance and service. It's a place I will most likely continue to eat."
"Chocolate is very nice quality. I don't say that lightly, as I'm a chocolate snob who turns my nose up at hershey's lol. The cookie dough is very yummy. The buckeyes are very sweet and rich, also yummy. Ice cream pretty good (they should offer to put a scoop of dough on it for a price). The only negative thing I could say is that the cupcakes are a tad dry. Overall its very good and I'll be back again next time i have a craving. The owner has also gone above and beyond to make sure a mistake on my order was fixed, which is something you just dont find anymore. Try them out!"
"Delivery, which cost about ten dollars for a small box of toffee took about six days via the mail. Plan ahead if ordering for a holiday or birthday."
"The prices were higher than I wanted to pay. Looked tasty though. The employees were nice and patient. I did not feel obligated to buy something."
"Do yourself a favor and anywhere you see these chocolates sold, buy them immediately. Yeah, they might look too pretty to eat, but one bite and you won't feel sad! I love getting these truffles as gifts because they're so beautiful and they are made locally. So if you really want to impress someone, this is what you should get them! The main place I go to buy them is Mon Aimee Chocolates in the Strip. They usually always have two different sizes. I'm a big fan of the salted caramel and s'mores. I know they often switch up flavors to go with the seasons, so I'm sure there's a flavor out there everyone can get down with. You can also order online if you can't find a local retailer. Easy and delicious!"
"Nestled in the town of Carnegie sits this cute Apple shop - who would have known! The Store owner was ... amazing! We walked in to a big HoHoHo-- which immediately put a smile on all our faces! thank you for being in the holiday spirit! Little things like that make ya wants come back! The owner took the time to explain how his apples are made and the differences in the siZes. We even got the hIstory in how he got started ...even my niece walked out saying just how nice the owner was - and she is a teenager :). This is my new go to Apple place ... only got a few on this first visit but plan to go back before Christmas to snag a few more for Xmas gifts."
"I just happened to be walking past between the UPS store and Starbucks, and saw this cute lil' candy shoppe on the way, so I stopped in. There were lots of employees working on making candy and fudge, and the place smelled delicious. They had all kinds of candy, to include home-made in a glass case, sold by the piece or pound, and a lot of pre-made packaged candies, and bubble gum. I noticed they had a case for gelato, but it was empty, so I am guessing that is a seasonal item. I bought a few items from the case, and everyone was helpful and pleasant. I will be back next time my sweet-tooth needs some sugar, and I am in the area."
"Took my mother here to grab a cake as she used go to the one in Bellevue growing up and heard this was the same Barkus family. We got some sort of chocolate fudge cake, some cake pops, and lady locks. All were legit awesome. I have no idea what was in this cake, but it was amazing. We will certainly be ordering and coming back for more. The only thing I'll say is they probably could have had a slightly better cake selection. There were only two kinds of cake in their case so we know to order if we have something particular in mind."
"Stopped in last night to treat myself & wife to some good chocolate. I selected an assortment of chocolate covered peanuts, peanut butter cups, chocolate covered graham crackers, chocolate covered oreos and others... and we have only 2 pieces left the next day. The chocolate is delicious, very similar to Sarris and I'm sure you folks know that Sarris is the Pittsburgh Benchmark for chocolate. Stop in this cute little store next time you're in the mood for chocolate- you won't be disappointed."
"I love Rosalind's. It will forever remind me of my grandma and my childhood visits to her home in Beaver. Every Christmas, we would get two big boxes of the chocolate creams dipped in white chocolate. Every holiday, chocolate shaped whatever (i.e. Santa, Easter Bunny, Valentines heart chocolate lollipops, Easter eggs). All of the chocolates are delicious and the prices are affordable. I have never had anything from Rosalind's that I didn't like."
"One of the best candy stores I've seen. They have themed items for parties, showers, etc., nostalgic candy, fresh chocolates, and even baking supplies. We spent such a long time in here just exploring the different offerings. Absolutely worth checking out!"
"Composite review.I have been to this famous fudge stand on Freedom Road 3 times over the years. It is a local institution. Homemade fudge and chocolates. All in the most funky small roadside stand you can imagine. Just outside of Cranberry. Lots of people stop there during the spring, summer and fall. The fudge I've had was great. No downside. Key items -- local business, on a convenient road, with easy off road parking.f8 and be there."

Best place to buy toffee and/or sweets in the area. Super cute store. I recommend the mixed chocolate toffee though they have other sweets. I paid $6-$7 for a small bag of toffee and practically devoured it before heading back to NJ. They do have smaller bags for $4 if you just want a taste.

Let me say that this is a hidden gem ! It is incredible for those with the sweet tooth. I have been there twice so far. Each experience has been plentiful. It's a tiny little place with various options and good service with a great appeal. The shakes are much better than the Milkshake Factory but be warned, bring a partner with you to share the goodies with !!! I ordered 1 scoop of the banana cream pie and 1 scoop of the graham cracker. It is so filling!!

We (my steady Betty (hereafter "SB" and I) attended a chocolate truffle-making class here. It was held at their Millvale location, which is not a storefront, per se, but where the chocolates are made. This is an odd sort of review, because the only chocolates I've eaten from here were the ones she tutored us to create. And...well...they were magnificent. So rewinding a bit...I was looking for gift idea for SB. A friend at work pointed me to a link to a listicle or PG article about a chocolate making class. I'd never heard of it before. Completely in the weeds. When I went to A519's webpage, it was not intuitively obvious to me where I could go to sign up. BUT...it's listed under "products"...https://shop.a519chocolate.com/products/private-truffle-making-classThere...I made a link for you. If you love chocolate, or you love someone who loves chocolate, this class was really fantastic. It broke down a bit like this...(2 hours)1) Introductions/qualifications/backstory (5 minutes)2) Presentation about cacao to chocolate...bean to bar. Terminology, taste, geography (10-15 minutes)3) Tasting...taste various types of "raw materials" used to make chocolate truffles, white chocolate, dulce, milk chocolate, various percentages of dark chocolate up to 85% (20 - 30 minutes)4) Making chocolates (the remainder)Informative, entertaining, delicious, and satisfying. It's a working kitchen, but doesn't take up a ton of space, so a six person class can be a bit cramped, but not uncomfortably so. There was plenty of space for each couple to follow instructions and hands-on. We first decorated molds using cocoa butter sprinkles (a la Jackson Pollock), then painted with an air brush, then made ganache and tempered chocolate and poured and scraped, cooled and broke molds, each couple taking home 24 BEAUTIFUL truffles. SB likes 'experience gifts', and this one was a great experience for us both. And the truffles WE made were amazing, so I can't imagine how good the ones Amanda (owner/chef) produces would be. Strongly encourage (think: valentine's day gift).

Close your eyes and face away from the front of this kitschy little shop in the south hills. Open them. You should imagine you're on a boardwalk somewhere on the East Coast. Imagine you can hear seagulls, waves crashing, and the sounds of people having a good time. Great little sweet shoppe with gelato, Home made truffles, chocolate covered sweets and treats. Even treats for the pooch. A bit pricey, two gelatos was 14 bucks. We tried peanut butter cup and salted caramel. Both were decadent and loaded with different textures. Not worth 7 bucks though. Free parking, bonus star there. They also have those hard to find candy bars from youth. Bun candy bars, Reggie bars, Milk Shake Bars, pixie sticks and more.

I worked here for the holiday season, and the experience was wonderful! Management has everything down-pat, and workers in the back know what they're doing.Everyone's beautifully efficient and graciously friendly. It's a great place!I enjoy our chocolate-covered fruits best, and the chocolate-covered marshmallows. Our truffles and cakes are yummy, and there's not an hour or time I'd suggest getting there before. A little on the sweet-side, (but I'm a fan of Japanese deserts... So...) they were being bought-up on off days!

"Such a cute little shop. Staff was friendly and helped us decide what would work best for us. Absolutely phenomenal macarons- I can't wait to go back and try something different!"
"Ebensburg Pa means a lot to me. Not just because its a town I love but it has so many treasures like Mids Candy that just spell H-O-M-E! I havent been in Ebensburg since 1986 (Mids opned in 1988) but I do look at business and homes in the town and came upon Mids. Its a family run business and the owners the Illigs are well known and respected in the community. They even knew my grandparents so to me Mids is extra special!Does a fat a** like myself need freshly made chocolates with pecans and almonds or creamy caramel or buttery toffee squares. No but the holidays are approaching and I am a person that loves to share so with thins pound box of chocolates I am a giver and also an eater! I chose to customize my pound box but there are boxes of creams or boxes of cordial cherries. You name it it can be had!Chocolate delights are hand crafted in house. An additional basement level is utilized for the chocolate factory. How cool is that!Mids can be shipped anywhere even over seas so with the holidays around the corner why not order a box of home made chocolates and thank me later! As Mid (the owner) says, "Life is short...Make it sweet!" I did just that and cant wait to enjoy a taste of back home. Thanks Mid!Angelo and Nancy Papalias granddaughter from florida Nancy"
"Love the coffee, brewed and flavored! Also Love the pastries and homemade chocolates! The atmosphere and seating are also divine!"
"I love buying homemade chocolates here, Especially the chocolate covered strawberries! The presentation is always so lovely and the selection she offers is great. Message on Instagram or call as hours change!"
"5-17-2021 My friend and I arrived here for some great chocolate, good stuff, and super nice employee. We purchased easter eggs leftover's at a substantial discount, well worth the price paid as well as regular chocholate. Prices for others seemed high so be prepared for some sticker shock.I would say taste of chocolate's purchased a 5 star, employee is definitely a 5 star, cost of chocholate a 3 1/2 star but 5 star for discounted easter eggs.If you like easter eggs, get them while they are dirt cheap."
"One of the best shops we popped into while visiting the Strip District - chocolate, chocolate, everywhere, and from everywhere! From imported chocolates to novelty character chocolates to locally-made chocolates, they really do have an insane selection. I was most drawn to their local options and their more unique flavors with dark chocolate - Himalayan pink sea salt with pistachio, citrus and vanilla, fig and honey. It's an absolutely massive assortment. Great spot to grab some gifts, since so many of the options here are already sealed and decoratively packaged.Up at the register, they also carry their own name brand line of chocolate-dipped goodies, truffles, and chocolates - check this area for sale prices or lower-priced gift options. They also have an ice cream counter that is currently out of service, but signage indicates that they do have a hot chocolate bar open for the season? I didn't see anyone getting anything from it when I visited, and it seemed like staff were eating their lunches there instead. NOTE: According to other reviews, they don't allow photos to be taken in the store? I was caught up in exploring and didn't take any shots but if so, find it very bizarre."
"I enjoy their variety of chocolate. I got a box of their Milk chocolate Meltaways. The young lady who waited on me was super friendly. The meltaways were very good."
"Went to the south location about a week ago for my first time ever at Cummings Coffee and Candy. Had myself a smoothie and breakfast sandwich and both were fantastic. I can't wait for my next stop! Highly recommended."
"Sinful Sweets is an adorable little chocolate and sweets places located in Downtown and is the perfect spot to satisfy and sweet craving. When I stopped by, personally, I felt bad. They closed at 8pm and I literally entered at 7:55pm, so I'm sorry about that but I was hungry! The main reason for wanting to stop was I noticed they sold raw cookie dough which is such a craze right now and something I never tried. In addition to cookie dough they sell regular ice cream as well, and many other different types of chocolate candy so you really can get it all here. Plus, the staff is super nice so although I came in there so close to closing, I could tell she really didn't care all that much. Now, sadly for me, I hated the cookie dough. It was red velvet which I normally find to be amazing, but this wasn't. Nothing against the shop, I'm just realizing that this raw cookie dough trend isn't for me. I thought it was too sweet, the consistency was odd and overall just wasn't something I'd ever want again. Next time I'll get ice cream, but even so I'd still make sure I came back to Sinful Sweets. It's amazing."
"I've been there a few times now, and I have to say...their chocolates are far superior to a lot I have had. Some of my favorite things they do are their homemade chocolate pretzels, chocolate-covered strawberries, and the chocolate covered raspberries. When I think to myself, "how can you make a chocolate covered pretzel better than someone else's?", the only thing I can come up with is they must put some sort of magical dust or something in their chocolate. The pretzels are seriously awesome. As for their strawberries when they have them, you can always tell they must actually "take note" of what strawberries they use. They are fresh, and flavorful...and they actually have ENOUGH chocolate on them, something i'm disappointed with when I've had others attempts. As for the raspberries...they put three or so big juicy fresh raspberries into a circle cup mold, and decorate beautifully with rock sugar, etc. They are truly awesome. I've not been disappointed in anything...even their peanut butter melt-a-ways are awesome! Don't skip on this place should you want some REALLY GOOD chocolate treats."
"I LOVE ME some Country Confections chocolate... yes I do.This is a location in Canonsburg on 19 in a strip mall down from Kings restaurant. They have DELICIOUS homemade chocolate candy: bon bons, pretzels, chocolate covered potato chips, filled chocolate candy, popcorn and their most FAMOUS item which are their gourmet candied apples!!!! A must try! They sell out of candy very quickly during the holidays so get their early or you can place an order.Do not overlook this place if you like chocolate!"
"This is such a fun little shop located in Oxford Centre. They've got a wide selection of chocolates, candies and treats. It's definitely a more upscale shop and a perfect place to treat yourself to a little something. It's also a good spot if you need to buy a gift or grab something to take to a party. It's convenient to have such a sweet place downtown.Get it? Sweet place...lol. In all seriousness, you get what you pay for here and that's top of the line quality!"
"Right outside of Pittsburgh off of Old Steubinville Pike sits one of the best chocolatiers in the area. Now don't get me wrong, Pittsburgh has some great chocolate makers. Sarris's of Canonsburg and West View's Betsy Ann's both come to mind, but Andy's Candies doesn't take a back seat to either. I've known about Andy's since I was a kid, my father would take us during one of his famous Sunday drives where we would end up on some country road. First stop was Scio's China, long gone, it was known for their fine china and ability to replace broken pieces, or finding hard to find pieces to complete a set. It was my maternal grandmother's favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon... Yawn! Andy's Candies was the third stop after stopping to see cows at a local dairy farm. Finally we'd stop at Andy's and my mom would pick up a pound of raisin clusters, my dad loved their peanut brittle and my Grandmother loved the anniclairs (peanuts, gooey marshmellow and pecans) and I would get the chocolate covered cherries. Today, I'm totally hooked on their sugar free strawberry gummies, and I always get my mom a dozen chocolate covered Ritz Crackers with peanut butter, and a chocolate covered Pizelle. If I went to Andy's and didn't tell her or bring her something I'd be disowned. They have the most innovated chocolate including chocolate covered apricots. Chocolate covered ginger, truffles, sugar free chocolates and the best sea salt caramels on the planet. They also serve ice cream and sell the candy bars no one carries anymore like Turkish Taffy, Milkshake bars, Zagnut, and Black Jack gum. If you find yourself out near 22/30 off the Parkway West, head on over to Andy's Candies and take home a box of bad for you indulgence."
"Pollak's Candy is some of the best candy in Pittsburgh. I've had a craving for chocolate covered cherries for about two months now, so decided to stop in and pick some up today. I felt like a kid in (well a candy store). Of course I also had to grab some white chocolate truffles while I was there. The store is very clean and the woman behind the counter was very polite and helpful. I highly recommend a stop here if you happen to be in the area."
"Great place for tons of different sweets, and for a great cause! I got a Belgian Liege waffle with Biscoff (cookie butter) and it was delicious. My hubby really enjoyed the salted caramel milk chocolate truffles, peanut butter cups and the milk chocolate covered buttercreams. We will definitely return!"
"I went to this candy shoppe before hitting a concert at Mr. Smalls and had myself a halved Braunschweiger sandwich. On white bread. With lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and mayonnaise. At a candy shoppe. You see, Yetter's isn't just about the candy -- they're a diner and an ice cream parlor as well.I asked an employee at Attic Records where Frank's Chicken & Pizza was but caught sight of this quaint throwback with its frilly red awning and silver pencil-eraser seats.I walked in just after 5PM to get some candy and saw a menu board,"We only have cold sandwiches at this hour," a server said to me. So I ordered Braunschweiger. Hey, I can get ham anywhere. Mashy with a livery flavor, it recalled pate, jumbo, hot dogs, bologna, and scrapple simultaneously."Didja like it?" The server seemed worried that I wouldn't. "Not too many people order that." I stifled a belch and said, "I must have." My plate was empty. Also had was a cup of a chunky, creamy, sweet potato salad, and a titanic hot fudge sundae capped with a crunchy chocolate chip cookie that had been cut in half. My total for all of this food, including a tall can of Arizona Fruit Punch? $8. "Whaddya yinz think of all these rock-and-rollers coming into your neighborhood?" I asked. "Hey, yinz keep us in business," she replied. On Yetter's I have a...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VgFnOMprpAP.S. I'll have to get back and try some of their candy."
"Wife and i had just come from lunch and were walking buy the Chocolate Moose and I looked at her said chocolate we gotta go in.The store is huge with all sorts of candy both handmade and not. They have a huge selection of all kinds of great and totally delicious truffles.I ordered about 15 different truffles and everyone was totally delicious.I would definitely go there over and over again,I also would highly recommend this place if you are in need of a sugar candy rush."
"The nicest people. Cute little shop. They do custom orders. And chocolate covered bacon."
"Wonderful Tasting milk chocolate candy. They have a huge selection to choose from. I love the chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels."
