Steve S. "Came in on a hoppin Saturday night 10 days before Christmas and the place was packed! If you come on the weekend reservations are probably a good idea. Parking will be hit/miss, you might get somewhere close. You might park 4 blocks away like I had to. The inside has a nice vibe as it's situated in an older building with lots of brick. The place is loud if it's busy so be prepared for that. The food is all really good, from the pho to the rangoons and egg rolls to all the sushi. My only chief complaint and I'm offering grace here because I know it was busy, is that it took a solid 25-30 minutes to get the appetizers after we got our drinks. Otherwise the service was good as well as the food. Check it out!"

My favorite is the Copper River salmon when they get it in for a few weeks a year ..yum! they always invent new rolls that are large and fresh..and we love their ginger dressing on the salad. They are always consistent with their fresh fish and the servers are always so friendly and on top of it. They also have special tastings through the year which are so fun! If you haven't tried out this true gem on McKnight Road..get going!"

Terrence Michael L. "Ambiance is cool, very calm. Nice decor and all. Family owned, run and operated. The last piece of Chinatown they say. Definitely respect that. I lived here for 5.5 years and never knew about this restaurant until now that I'm visiting for a weekend.Staff is responsive and nice. Wonton soup has no filling. The broth tasted good and hit the spot (it's 30 degF outside) although a bit salty. But no filling? They're just thick noodles folded to look like there's something in them. I might have misinterpreted what I thought I was getting but Garlic Ginger Sea Scallops deviated from what I thought I understood it to be in the menu. Wanted something a bit lighter in flavor and while I did enjoy the spice, I don't think it was even marked as spicy on the menu. Definitely didn't expect it to be in a sort of tangy red brown sauce. As others have said, the complimentary tea was pretty nice! Did enjoy that. The volume of food for price is pretty good also. Average fare but good ambiance. Still annoyed about that noodle soup. Don't call it wonton with no wonton filling"

"I went here for lunch the other day for a business meeting and really enjoyed the place...While the decor is simple and a bit dated, anytime you enter a Chinese restaurant and the back table has old ladies hand-making dumplings, you know you're in for some good eats. The lunch menu had traditional Chinese fare on one side and some more adventurous selections on the other. Regardless, the dishes we had at our table all went back to the kitchen clean...we all devoured our food and talked about how good each dish was.You can't go wrong here...and I can't wait to go back again. Oh, and get the dumplings...they really are THAT good!"

Laura L. "My dad is the greatest food critic of all and he actually enjoyed the meals he has had here! So that's saying something. Growing up with home-cooked meals and living near New York Chinatown and Philly Chinatown, we have high standards for good Chinese food. My dad said How Lee has food ON PAR with both Chinatowns and that's a huge statement coming from my dad who would say something good as "not bad". I've read and seen the poor reviews here and I'm convinced that they're just ordering the wrong things. We ordered the CHONGQING FRIED DRY HOT CHICKEN (chicken deep fried), CHENDU FRIED DRY HOT CHICKEN (chicken pan fry), FISH FILET WITH CABBAGE IN PASTE CHILI, SHREDDED PORK WITH DRY TOFU, WEST LAKE MINCED BEEF SOUP, AND MAPO TOFU.The fried dry hot chicken explains itself and is very spicy so be careful! Many items are spicy and/or are cooked with chili oil so look closely at the menu if you want to less/no spicy food. The shredded pork and other stir fried items have great "wok hay", meaning the chef is experienced with the wok and how to maintain it well. Also the west lake minced beef soup is my all time favorite, and what I order when I'm homesick. Cantonese soups tend to be thicker than what people are used to, and it gives a different experience where you "eat" your soup.Whenever I'm craving Chinese food, this is the place to go. Service: The service is also on par with typical Chinese restaurants. Don't be offended if it's not "as friendly as American restaurants", that's just how our culture typically is. Interior: Every time my parents come here when they visit, they wonder why there's a big discrepancy between the food quality and the foot traffic in the restaurant. It has such a good location in Squirrel Hill and there's plenty of foot traffic on the corner of Forbes and Shady. We concluded that they probably should take initiate to market more and to modernize their interior a bit. The seats are taped up showing wear and tear, the decor is sparse and dusty, and their blinds are always closed making the restaurant more fluorescent and could mislead people to think they're closed. I think small changes can lead to big results! tldr;Food 5/5Service 4/5Interior 3.5/5"

The menu is very extensive, including many Chinese entrees, as well as a variety of sushi. My husband had a couple sushi rolls, and I had the general tso's chicken, stir fried. Both of our orders came out quickly and were delicious. We got pork fried dumplings, pork eggrolls, general tso's chicken, orange chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything delicious, the chicken was tender and not dry, and they have the brown fried rice instead of the usual yellow stuff. I've been searching for a place that did not have the boring yellow rice and I'm so glad we found it! It is pricy, but it may be worth it because otherwise it ticks all the boxes. Can't wait to try more from here. We ordered take out. The staff was kind and we didn't have to wait too long for the food. The restaurant was clean and peaceful. The interior and decor are reminiscent of old school Chinese restaurants from my childhood, which I love. The food was nice - spring roll was very crispy, the crunchy noodle and sauce were tasty (like how they fill you up with chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant), and really liked the main dish too. Everything in it was cooked well and had good flavor ( my dish was heavy on the umami taste side due to the mushroom/tofu combo). Service was friendly and fast - they did forget my hot tea I ordered, but I let it go, and otherwise, no problems. Kat S. "My partner has insisted for a long time that Chin's is the best Chinese in the Akron area. He used to live just around the block, but now we live in Cuyahoga Falls, and in the 4 years we've been here, I've been pretty disappointed by every place we've tried (except for Sushia Asia Gourmet, which has a great Sichuan menu). Chin's appears to be more Cantonese style; while there is a dining room, it is has apparently been closed since COVID. We had a couple drinks at Frank's Place and placed our order. 15 minutes later, it was hot and ready. My car smelled so good that my mouth was watering. He ordered the Cantonese chicken, which was good but kind of basic. My stir fried chicken and veggies in ginger sauce were better--and the veggies were so fresh and crisp. You may have noticed, but there's a garden behind the restaurant, and they grow a lot of their own produce. The star of the night was the veggie Egg Foo Young, which I'd never tried before. I saw photos of it online and had to try it. Wow. Egg Foo Young: where have you been all my life? I feel like I'm going to have a new food hyperfixation because this was absolutely delicious and fresh, and I've never had anything like it before. It was a very thin, very crispy omelet with veggies folded in, and then it was covered with a flavorful brown gravy. There are so many other things I want to try, and I can confidently say that my partner was right. It was worth the drive, and our food stayed warm even after a pit stop for beer on the way home. Our meal at Chin's was a reminder of just how good Chinese food can be when it's just not chicken nuggets covered in a sweet sauce."

What better way to celebrate the year of the tiger than a Chinese lunch....in a town(which happens to be an island) I've never heard of, or been to....which might actually not have a Chinese population greater than a a family or two. I'm pretty sure this is Ohio....or West Virginia? What's the worst that can happen?! Golden chopsticks is a little piece of Chinatown on Wheeling island. The menu features all the things you'd expect...fried rice, egg rolls, soups, dumplings, general tso, beef n broccoli...on and on and on. The highlights for me are the general tso and eggs rolls. The chicken is moist and delicious. The eggs rolls ...the crispiest I have ever had. The fried rice was a little underwhelming but overall this is great quality. Golden Chopsticks isn't just filling a void, it's high quality Chinese food at an extremely reasonable price. This could have gone oh so wrong, but Yelp never fails me. I dined here for dinner, and despite it being after 7PM, all items were kept well stocked. Has the standard buffet items you would expect including fried rice, lo mein, chicken and broccoli, dumplings, egg rolls, etc. The sushi options were limited to a handful of rolls, but everything was fresh. Weirdly enough, they had really good French Fries for a buffet. Desert options included various items including fresh fruit, Jello, and several flavors of hard ice cream.
